Abstract

According to the present invention, while the grip is held firmly with the fingers and palm, it is possible to turn the grip by the specific finger or part of the palm, by pushing the mound within a range of movement of the mound, in hitting a ball back, providing the grip aid required to lower the load on the shoulder and forearm, and offer a health boost.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This Application is entitled to the benefit of Provisional Patent Application No. 62/391,958 filed on May 16, 2016.
  • U.S. patent application Ser. No. 12/798,366 filed on Apr. 4, 2010
U.S. patent application Ser. No. 12/660,456 filed on Mar. 1, 2010

Japan Utility Model registration No. 3204886 registered on Jun. 1, 2016
  • The present invention relates to a grip aid to easily and steadily handle a tool with the grip, playing sports, or doing what is similar in kind.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Using a tool with a grip, easy handling and non-slip features are what people expect. The improvement of the tool expedites the handling of the grip, lowering a load on the shoulder and the forearm. For example, in the sports such as badminton, table tennis, tennis, etc., a racket swing is made by the shoulder and forearm, to hit a ball back, and a backhand swing requires much burden to swing the racket from bottom left to top left or to top right.
  • In the case of hitting forehand, the matter of concern is to swing a racket from top down, but there is also a heavy load to swing the racket, from top right to bottom right or to bottom left, in badminton, and also a sidestroke requires a heavy burden to swing the racket sideways, from side to top right or top left. Meanwhile, there must be the burden similar to the above, in hitting a ball with a baseball bat or a golf club.
  • Under such circumstances, inventor realized that the present invention is helpful in improving the racket swing, after studying and aiming at the role and functions of the thumb and middle finger.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is not limited to a countermeasure to cope with the issue stated above, and provides beginners, persons with a weak grip, e.g. children, women, and elderly or handicapped people, with the grip aid to comfortably use. It aims to lower the load on the forearm, shoulder, and help people prevent from inadvertent action, due to a weakness of grip power.
  • According to the present invention, a mountain-shaped mound is made, by forming and shaping part of the backside of the back-end and preceding part of the band, together with a cushion, which is attached to the surface of the leading edge and following part of the band, and it is possible to push the mound from either direction regardless of left-handed or right-handed. Also, a plurality of the mound or a plurality of the grip aid is available in parallel, and feeling and strength are adjustable, changing the kind of cushion. There is no need to always use all fingers to move the grip, and regardless of the state of other fingers, it is possible to turn the grip, pressing the mound with a specific finger or part of the palm, from either direction.
  • Winding the band around the racket grip, attaching the backside of the back-end and preceding part of the band, to the surface of the leading edge and following part of the band, making one or more mounds which are mountain-shaped, by forming and shaping the part of the back-end and preceding part of the band, with a cushion, keeping up the attachment between the back-end and preceding part of the band, and the surface of the leading edge and following part of the band, and if the mound is pushed from either direction, the grip turns within a range of movement of the mound.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a view showing a preferred embodiment of a grip aid.
  • FIGS. 2 and 3 show the grip aid attached to the grip on the racket.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Embodiment of the present invention will now be described in the accompanying drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a preferred embodiment of the grip aid to attach to the grip on the racket.
  • 1-1 shows a band wrapped around the grip.
1-2 shows a mound to push to turn the grip.
1-3 shows a cushion in the mound.
1-4 shows part of the back-end and preceding part of the band, attached to the surface of the leading edge and subsequent part of the band.
  • FIGS. 2 and 3 show the grip aid attached to the grip on the racket, having 2 mounds respectively, e.g., one for the middle finger, and the other for the thumb.
  • Although the present invention has been described above in relation to the preferred embodiment, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that variations and modification can be effected in these preferred embodiment and in any alternate condiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
