- The disclosure and prior art relates to picture frame devices and more particularly pertains to a new picture frame device that has an ornamental appearance of a flower.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plate that may have an ornamental appearance of a flower. A rod is coupled to the plate and the rod may penetrate a support surface. Thus, the rod may support the plate above the support surface. A picture frame is coupled to the plate and the picture frame may display a picture.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a picture frame assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a left side view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view taken along line 5-5 ofFIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new picture frame device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , thepicture frame assembly 10 generally comprises aplate 12 that has afront surface 14, aback surface 16 and aperipheral edge 18 extending therebetween. Theperipheral edge 18 is scalloped to define a plurality ofpetals 20. Thepetals 20 are spaced apart from each other. Moreover, each of thepetals 20 radiates outwardly from acenter 22 of theplate 12. Thus, theplate 12 has an ornamental appearance of a flower. The flower may be a daisy or the like. - As shown in
FIG. 6 , theperipheral edge 18 may have atop side 24, abottom side 26, a firstlateral side 28 and a secondlateral side 30. Thebottom side 26 may be convexly arcuate between the firstlateral side 28 and the secondlateral side 30. Thetop side 24 may alternately extend upwardly and downwardly between the firstlateral side 28 and the secondlateral side 30. Thus, thetop side 24 may define a plurality ofpoints 32 thereby facilitating theplate 12 to have an ornamental appearance of a tulip. - A
rod 34 is coupled to theplate 12 and therod 34 may penetrate asupport surface 36 thereby facilitating therod 34 to support theplate 12 above thesupport surface 36. Thesupport surface 36 may be soil in a flower pot or the like. Therod 34 is centrally positioned on theback surface 16 and therod 34 extends downwardly from theplate 12. A plurality ofleaves 38 is provided and each of theleaves 38 is coupled to and extends away from therod 34. Thus, therod 34 has an ornamental appearance of a flower stem. - A
picture frame 40 is provided. Thepicture frame 40 is coupled to theplate 12 and thepicture frame 40 may display apicture 42. Thepicture 42 may be a picture of a loved one's face or the like. Thepicture frame 40 comprises acup 44 that may contain thepicture 42. - The
cup 44 has abasal wall 46 and aperipheral wall 48 extending away from thebasal wall 46. Theperipheral wall 48 is continuous such that thecup 44 has a circular shape. Thus, thecup 44 has the ornamental appearance of a center of the flower. Thebasal wall 46 is coupled to thefront surface 14 of theplate 12 such that thecup 44 is visible to an observer. Theperipheral wall 48 has adistal edge 52 with respect to thebasal wall 46. - A
door 54 is hingedly coupled to thecup 44 and thedoor 54 is positioned on thedistal edge 52 of thecup 44. Thedoor 54 has anexterior edge 56 and theexterior edge 56 is continuous such that thedoor 54 has a circular shape. Thedoor 54 has awindow 58 therein to facilitate thepicture 42 to be visible when thedoor 54 is closed. Thewindow 58 may be a round window or the like. Thedoor 54 frictionally engages the peripheral wall 50 of thecup 44 when thedoor 54 is closed. - In use, the
door 54 is opened and thepicture 42 is positioned in thecup 44. Thedoor 54 is closed and thepicture 42 is visible through thewindow 58. Therod 34 is inserted into thesupport surface 36 thereby supporting thepicture 42 above thesupport surface 36. Thus, thepicture 42 is displayed in conjunction with the ornamental appearance of the flower. As shown inFIG. 6 , a plurality of theassemblies 60 may be distributed on thesupport surface 36. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
