Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims the benefit of PPA application No. 62/035,465, filed 2015 Aug. 10 titled, “Around the neck towel for sweat inducing activities” by Lerona Johnson and Leonard Mcnulty, the content of which is incorporated herein by reference.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Previous methods of managing perspiration include users holding a towel or having one drape around the neck which could make activity restricting, unsafe and inconvenient should the towel fall on germs, or cause distraction leading to injury. Additional methods of sweat management with around the neck security limit air exposure to the body on the chest area. The present invention method of managing sweat may be preferable over previous methods because it allows the user to utilize both hands for unimpeded mobility, safety from the spread of germs and an opening for aeration.
  • Field of the Invention
  • The present invention is related to an article of manufacture particularly modified for use by a person performing sweat inducing activities.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front plan view according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a rear plan view according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a close-up front plan view of the snap closure embodiment in an open position according to the invention.
  • FIG. 4A illustrates a perspective view of the present invention in use.
  • FIG. 4B illustrates a perspective view of the present invention in use.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • A wearable around the neck towel that can provide convenience while performing physical activities that cause sweat. The around the neck towel is modified by a slit partially down the middle creating a split, and has a snap fastener mechanism that is located on the innermost upper edges of the split.
  • The towel with a snap fastener for around the neck connectivity permits convenience to the user during sweat inducing activities such as exercise and chores by allowing hands-free mobility. It is an advantage for the present invention to be securely around the neck of the user making it opportune to wipe sweat away from the face while performing any activity that causes perspiration.
  • Presently the snap fastener embodiment operates most capably as a connector however other embodiments such as magnets, hooks, other button varieties, or Velcro® may be used adequately. A preferred embodiment of the towel's material includes cotton; other options are terry cloth, microfiber, bamboo, rayon or non-woven fibers. In a most preferred embodiment the cut is approximately 16 inches in length. In another embodiment the cut is reinforced with any suitable edging material for support. In a preferred embodiment the hand towel size dimension is approximately 16 inches in width and 25 inches in length. Alternately the size dimension can be a variety of other sizes.
  • These and other embodiments of the invention will be better interpreted and understood when considered in combination with the subsequent description and associated drawings.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front plan view according to the present invention. It shows an around the neck sweat towel 10 with the Outer portion of the snap fastener 16, 16O in a closed position and a front view of the cut partially down the middle 12 with reinforced edging material 14.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a rear plan view according to the present invention. It demonstrates the back of an around the neck sweat towel 10 with the snap fastener 16 in a closed position and a back view of the cut partially down the middle 12 with reinforced edging material 14.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a close-up front plan view of the snap closure embodiment in an open position according to the invention. It depicts a close-up front view of the snap fastener 16O, 16I in an open position and a front view of the cut partially down the middle 12 with reinforced edging material 14.
  • FIG. 4A illustrates a perspective view of the present invention in use. It demonstrates the front of the around the neck sweat towel 10 being used while exercising on an elliptical machine.
  • FIG. 4B illustrates a perspective view of the present invention in use. It demonstrates the front of the around the neck sweat towel 10 being used to wipe sweat away from the face while exercising on an elliptical machine.
