Description
- The present application is based on, and claims the benefit of priority of U.S. application Ser. No. 62/154808, filed on Apr. 30, 2015, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to an invention of women's trouser system, which converts jean and/or pant into a smoothing and comforting trouser.
- 2. Background Art
- Overweight women have long searched for clothing that allows for a more comfortable fit all over, but most particularly in the waistlines of their jeans and skirts, something that alleviates some of the pinch and pressure on their belly, often exacerbated by sitting in a fitted pant. As waistlines on women's pants have grown lower and lower in recent years the challenge has become even greater. Women struggle to look and, even more importantly feel good, in their classic denim jeans.
- A few creative souls, looking for a more smoothing and comfortable fit, have purchased or worn maternity jeans for this purpose. These denim jeans in all parts that are visible to others, with a hidden, stretchable, fabric belly-band stitched to the heavier weight, less flexible denim fabric at midrise, provide a partial solution to the problem. Existing maternity jeans are built with the specific goal of accommodating an ever expanding pregnant belly. In most cases this bellyband is too accommodating or too loose for a non-pregnant woman and quickly becomes a nuisance as it slips down around the wearer's mid section.
- At the other extreme is the “control-top” or “shape-wear” denim jeans that have flooded the marketplace. Fabric is specifically designed to compress the tummy and give the appearance of a slimmer, flatter mid section. For many women, however, shape wear is uncomfortable as it compromises breathing and/or interferes with digestion and other vital metabolic functions. In addition, though this type of shape wear promises women a slimmer look, it merely displaces the bulges of excess fat moving them so that they rise above fee waistline of most jeans.
- A need exists in the current art for a garment that is designed to fit snugly on the weaver, without compressing. The fit is smoothing and comfortable as wearer can breathe, eat, laugh, etc., without compromise. While a belly band is stitched to the denim at mid waist, the bellyband fabric is neither accommodating nor compressing. The present invention solves the problem by a unique set of elements described according to claim 1 to 20.
- In a preferred embodiment, an upper garment includes a belly band portion having a side seam on a lower end being attached to a past portion and an upper end opposite to the lower end including a first fastening elements thereof, wherein each of the first fastening elements is adapted to engage releasably a corresponding one of the second fastening elements of a camisole portion.
- According to the preferred embodiment, the belly band portion includes a front panel, wherein the first fastening elements are positioned on the upper end of the front panel. In an embodiment, the belly portion garment includes a rear panel opposite the front panel, and wherein the first fastening elements are positioned on the upper end of the rear panel.
- Further the front and rear panels forming a waistline portion, and wherein the lower end of the belly portion includes a first side seam located on the inner side, and a second side seam located on the inner side and opposite the first side seam, wherein the pant portion is attached to the first and the second side seams of the belly portion at the waistline portion. In an embodiment, the pant portion is attached to the lower end of the belly band portion at the waistline portion, thus eliminating the zipper and button fly elements of the classic five-pocket denim jean.
- Still in the preferred embodiment, the upper garment includes a camisole portion having elastic straps on an upper end extending over the shoulders and a lower end opposite to the upper end including a second fastening elements thereof, wherein each of the first fastening elements is adapted to engage releasably a corresponding one of the second fastening elements of the belly band portion. In an embodiment, the elastic straps are adjustable selected fens a group of classic bra-strap hardware, wherein each of the elastic straps crisscrosses over each before getting stitched on.
- Additionally, each of the first fastening elements of the belly portion includes a female snap element, and each of the second fastening elements of the camisole portion includes a male snap element. In other embodiments, each of the first fastening elements of the belly portion and the second fastening elements of the camisole portion are selected from the group consisting of buttons, pins, zippers, and hook and loop fasteners.
- In another preferred embodiment, the upper garment includes the belly portion, wherein the front panel of the belly band portion extends upward to cover breasts, and each of the elastic straps extends from the upper end of the front panel of the belly portion over the shoulder in a straight path to the upper end of the rear panel of the belly band portion.
-
