Description
- 1. Technical Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to an online method for data management and particularly relates an online method for accessing and assessing a documented data. The present invention more particularly relates to an online method for accessing, assessing, editing, transferring and saving a text document, an image file, an audio file and a video file over a social networking platform.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- A social network is a social structure made up of a set of actors (such as individuals or organizations) and the dyadic ties between these actors. The social network perspective provides a clear way of analyzing the structure of whole social entities. The study of these structures uses social network analysis to identify local and global patterns, locate influential entities, and examine network dynamics.
- One of the prior arts discloses a software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) digital document management system (“DDMS”). The DDMS is located remotely from an office building or other place of business on a remote server. The server is connected to one or more databases for storing digital documents or information extracted from the digital documents. A user populates the DDMS by sending digital documents to the server using a computer, an email-enabled scanner, or the like. When a digital document is received at the server, the document is routed to a customer pending queue, information from the digital document is extracted, the digital document is stored in a directory, and the extracted information is stored in a relational database. The extracted information is supplemented or corrected as necessary using a web portal which allows a user to access the digital document and the extracted information. The digital document and the extracted information are then sent to a first destination such as an archive or mail-on-demand (e.g., a mail and print service).
- Another prior art discloses a document management system including a content repository for storing a file, a management system for monitoring and managing the file in the content repository, and an authoring portal. The authoring portal embeds ActiveX controls in a document, parses the document, and converts the document into an HTML file. The authoring portal further generates JavaScript codes, thereby enabling the content repository to dynamically respond the input of a user and provide the user with feedback without accessing a database associated with the document. The codes also enable the content repository to dynamically adjust the sequence in which the documents are presented to the user in response to the inputs from the user.
- Although the prior arts provide a document viewing and editing but fails to accomplish the same in online manner i.e. editing a document without downloading and saving the edited document. Also the prior art fails to implement an online document management over a social networking platform. Further the prior arts fail to upload and navigate a bulk of document on the basis of a date and a time.
- In the view of foregoing, there is a need for a method for accessing, assessing and editing a document over a social networking platform. Also there is a need for a method for document management on the basis of a date and a time. Also there is a need for a method to enhance a manual interaction with the document.
- The above mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein, as detailed below.
- The primary objective herein is to provide a method for accessing, assessing and editing a document over a social networking platform.
- Another object herein is to provide a method for document management on the basis of a date and a time.
- Yet another object herein is to provide a method to enhance a manual interaction with the document.
- These and other objects and advantages of the embodiments herein will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
- The various embodiments herein disclose a method for accessing, assessing and editing a document over a social networking platform. The method comprises the steps of creating a document through a personal device in an online or offline mode and uploading the created document over a timeline of the social networking platform. The uploaded document is stamped with a date and a time of uploading. The method further comprises parsing the uploaded document, saving the parsed document and viewing the saved document in an online mode over document viewer web application. The document viewer web application opens in an additional tab on clicking over the saved document. The document viewer web application allows a person to edit a document online without downloading over a device memory. The edited document is saved over the timeline.
- According to an embodiment herein, a plurality of documents pops up during a scrolling over the timeline in an orderly manner. The orderly manner comprises a document popping in a hierarchical manner further comprising a date-wise followed by a time-wise document popping.
- According to an embodiment herein, a HTML code is continuously updated in backend according to the document editing done on the frontend in the document viewer web application.
- The embodiments herein further disclose a method for communicating, discussing and multi-person editing of a document over a social networking website. The method comprises the steps of initialising a video conference among a plurality of registered users over the social networking platform. The method further comprises opening a document over a conference window. The open document covers 8/10th of a vertical screen size and 6/10th of the horizontal screen size. The videos of the users participating in the conference populate the screen vertically in the horizontally left screen area. The tools for document editing and marking populate the screen horizontally in the vertically left screen area. The document editing is permitted to a single user in a periodic duration. The document marking is done by multiple users at a time. A name of the user is displayed over the area or line of the document marked by him or her. A user scrolls over the document to view the marked line and name of the marking user.
- According to an embodiment herein, the document is saved over the timeline of one or more participating users on the basis of permission granted by the user organizing the video conference.
- The embodiments herein disclose a method to capture, upload and edit a data over a social networking platform. The method comprises the steps of uploading a data file over the social networking platform through a memory of an external or an internal device. The data file comprises an image file, an audio file and a video file. The method further comprises parsing the uploaded data file through a web-based parser and saving the parsed data file over a timeline of the user of the social networking platform. The data file is saved with a time and a date stamp on it. The method further comprises displaying a data file in an orderly manner during a scrolling over the timeline of the registered user and showing a plurality of tagging and commenting tools over saved data file. The orderly manner comprises a date-wise followed by time-wise display of the data file. The method further comprises saving a tagged and commented data file over the timeline of the registered user.
- According to an embodiment herein, the tagging and commenting tools allows a specific zone or a face or an area or a geographical marker tagging and commenting. The name of the tagging user is displayed over the open data file during a cursor movement through the respective zone or face or area or geographical marker tagging. The tags and comments are displayed to multiple users after permission granted by a profile owner. The profile owner is a registered user responsible for uploading the data file.
- These and other aspects of the embodiments herein will be better appreciated and understood when considered in conjunction with the following description and the accompanying drawings. It should be understood, however, that the following descriptions, while indicating preferred embodiments and numerous specific details thereof, are given by way of illustration and not of limitation. Many changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the embodiments herein without departing from the spirit thereof, and the embodiments herein include all such modifications.
