FIG. 6 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new stand device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , thesupport stand device 10 generally comprises apanel 12 having afront face 14, aback face 16 and aperimeter edge 18 extending around and between thefront face 14 and theback face 16. Theperimeter edge 18 has afirst end 20 opposite asecond end 22 and a pair ofopposed sides first end 20 and thesecond end 22. A longitudinal axis extends between thefirst end 20 and thesecond end 22 of thepanel 12. Thepanel 12 is comprised of a rigid material, such as metal, plastic, wood or the like. A distance between thefirst end 20 and thesecond end 22 may measure between approximately 20.0 cm and 28.0 cm. A distance between theopposed sides second end 22 may measure between approximately 15.0 cm and 20.0 cm. - The
panel 12 has aslot 28 extending into thefirst end 20 defining a pair ofspaced projections slot 28 is configured for receiving aselectable truck skateboard 36 for supporting theskateboard 36 on thepanel 12. Theskateboard 36 used can be of any conventional design having adeck 38, a pair offront wheels 40, and a pair ofrear wheels 42. Thefront wheels 40 are coupled to thedeck 38 by afront truck 34, while therear wheels 42 are coupled to thedeck 38 by arear truck 35.Inner edges projections panel 12 has an opening 48 extending through thefront face 14 and theback face 16. The opening 48 is positioned near thefirst end 20 of thepanel 12. Theslot 28 extends from the opening 48 through theperimeter edge 18. The opening 48 may be circular. Each of theprojections top end panel 12. Alternatively, as shown inFIGS. 3-6 , thetop end projections - The
panel 12 has anotch 54 extending into thesecond end 22 defining a pair offeet panel 12 in anupright position 60 on a supporting surface. Thenotch 54 may be concavely arcuate extending between thefeet perimeter edge 18 may taper inwardly from thefeet first end 20 of thepanel 12. Each of thefeet respective bottom end panel 12. Alternatively, as shown inFIGS. 3-6 , each of thefeet juncture 66 of thenotch 54 and the associatedfoot opposed sides panel 12. - An alternative embodiment of the invention is shown in
FIGS. 3-6 that includes ahinge 68 coupled to thepanel 12. Thehinge 68 defines afirst section 70 and asecond section 72 of thepanel 12 that are hingedly coupled together. Thehinge 68 extends along the longitudinal axis of thepanel 12 and may be centrally positioned between theopposed sides panel 12. Thehinge 68 extends from abottom edge 74 of the opening 48 to thenotch 54. Thehinge 68 allows thefirst section 70 and thesecond section 72 to fold and abut each other for compact storage of thedevice 10. - In use, the
panel 12 is positioned on a support surface, such as a shelf or a floor. Aselectable truck skateboard 36 is positioned in theslot 28 for supporting theskateboard 36 from thepanel 12, as shown inFIGS. 4-6 . In this manner, thedevice 10 keeps theskateboard 36 off the support surface for displaying theskateboard 36 or for storing theskateboard 36 above the support surface. Indicia 76, such as a logo, may be positioned on either thefront face 14 or theback face 16 of thepanel 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
