Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a pumping device.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • A conventional pumping device includes a pumping rod connected with a piston. The pumping rod is pulled to suck fluid in from a fluid source and is pushed to discharge the fluid to another container. It is inconvenient to operate, and fluid may leak during moving the pumping device.
  • Thus, a pumping device having different positions of inlet and outlet is provided in patent TW M280453. This device is able to suck fluid and discharge fluid continuously without moving the device. However, structure of this device is complicated, and positions of every component are crucial. In addition, this device is unable to be used when the container is dumped.
  • Besides, the inlet and the outlet of the previous device are fixedly disposed on the device, and positions of the inlet and the outlet are fixed. In addition, the pumping device is difficult to clean.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The main object of the present invention is to provide a pumping device having two check valves in opposite directions to allow transport fluid continuously.
  • To achieve the above and other objects, a pumping device of the present invention includes a pump and a connector.
  • The pump includes a container, a piston, and a pumping rod. The container is formed with an insertion hole and a pressure-releasing hole at a top portion thereof. The piston is slidably disposed in the container. An end of the pumping rod is connected to the piston, and an opposite end of the pumping rod is inserted through the insertion hole to extend outward. The container is formed with an opening at a bottom portion thereof. The container has a first connecting portion around the opening.
  • The connector has a cavity, an inlet channel, and an outlet channel. The inlet channel and the outlet channel communicate with the cavity respectively. The connector has a second connecting portion around an opening of the cavity. The second connecting portion is engaged with the first connecting portion so that the cavity communicates with the opening of the container. A first check valve is disposed in the inlet channel. The first check valve allows fluid flowing into the inlet channel from exterior but prohibits fluid flowing out from the inlet channel. The connector further has a second check valve disposed in the outlet channel. The second check valve allows fluid flowing out from the outlet channel but prohibits fluid flowing into the outlet channel from exterior.
  • When the piston is moved toward the top portion of the container, fluid outside is pumped into the container via the inlet channel. When the piston is moved toward the bottom of the container, fluid in the container is discharged out via the outlet channel.
  • Thereby, the present invention is adapted for sucking fluid in and pumping fluid out by pulling or pushing the pumping rod. In addition, the connector is detachably disposed on the pump so that other kinds of connector can be used to replace the original connector.
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment(s) in accordance with the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a stereogram of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a partial breakdown drawing of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a profile of the present invention showing fluid flowing in;
  • FIG. 4 is a profile of the present invention showing fluid flowing out.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please refer to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the pumping device of the present invention includes a pump 10 and a connector 20.
  • The pump 10 includes a container 11, a piston 12, and a pumping rod 13. The container 11 is formed with an insertion hole 111 and a pressure-releasing hole 112 at a top portion thereof. The piston 12 is slidably disposed in the container 11. An end of the pumping rod 13 is connected with the piston 12, and the other end of the pumping rod 13 extends out through the insertion hole 111. A handgrip 131 is disposed on the end of the pumping rod 13 extending out. The container 11 has an opening 113 at a bottom portion thereof and a first connecting portion 114 around the opening 113. In the present embodiment the first connecting portion 114 includes external thread. The container 11 is made of transparent material and is formed with a capacity scale on the outer wall thereof.
  • The connector 20 is independent and detachable from the pump 10. The connector 20 has a cavity 21, an inlet channel 21, and an outer channel 23. The inlet channel 22 and the outlet channel 23 are independent to each other and communicate with the cavity 21 respectively. The connector 20 has a second connecting portion 211 to be engaged with the first connecting portion 114 to allow the cavity 21 communicating with the opening 113. In practice, the second connecting portion has internal threads to screw with the first connecting portion. In the present embodiment, a converter 50 is provided. The converter 50 has an internal thread portion 51 and an external thread portion 52. The internal thread portion 51 is adapted for being screwed with the first connecting portion 114, and the external thread portion 52 is adapted for being screwed with the second connecting portion 211 so as to link the connector 20 and the pump 10 together. As a result, the pump 10 can be connected with the connecter 20 even if the sizes of the first connecting portion 114 and the second connecting portion 211 does not fit each other. The inlet channel 22 has a first check valve which only allows fluid flowing into the inlet channel 22 but prohibits fluid flowing out from the inlet channel 22. The outlet channel 23 has a second check valve which allows fluid flowing out from the outlet channel 23 but prohibits fluid flowing into the outlet channel 23 from exterior. In the present embodiment, a smaller entrance 24 is formed between the inlet channel 22 and exterior. The first check valve includes a slidable blocking element 221 which is pushed by a spring 222 so that the blocking element 221 tends to block the entrance 24. Fluid outside is able to push the blocking element 221 to flow into the inlet channel 22. A smaller exit 25 is formed between the cavity 21 and the outlet channel 23. The second check valve includes a slidable blocking element 231 which is pushed by a spring 232 so that the blocking element 231 tends to block the exit 25. Fluid in the cavity 21 is able to push the blocking element 231 to flow out via the outlet channel 23.
  • When the pumping rod 13 is pulled to move the piston 12 toward the top portion of the container 11, fluid outside is sucked into the container 11 via the inlet channel 22. When the pumping rod 13 is pushed to move the piston 12 toward the bottom portion of the container 11, fluid in the container 11 is discharged via the outlet channel 23.
  • In the present embodiment, the inlet channel 22 is located at a bottom portion of the connector 20 and is aligned vertically with the cavity 21. The outlet channel 23 is located at a lateral portion of the connector 20 between the cavity 21 and the inlet channel 22. Thereby, when the fluid in the container 10 is pushed out, the fluid pushed the first check valve to ensure the entrance 24 is blocked by the blocking element 221. In addition, when fluid outside flows into the cavity 21, the second check valve may not be pushed to open the exit 25.
  • In use, the entrance 24 can be sleeved onto by a pipe 30 or others to communicate with a fluid source, and the exit 23 can be connected with a quick coupling 40, a pipe, or others to communicate with a fluid collector. Thereby, when pulling the pumping rod 13 to move the piston 12 upward, fluid is sucked into the container 11 via the pipe 30, the entrance 24, the inlet channel 22, and the cavity 21. Thereafter, when pushing the pumping rod 13 downward, fluid in the container 11 is pushed into the cavity 21, and the fluid further pushes the blocking element 231 of the second check valve to open the exit 25. Thus, the fluid flows to the fluid collector via the outlet channel 23 and the quick coupling 40. As a result, the present invention is able to be used for transporting fluid from one container to another container continuously. Besides, the connector can be replaced with other connectors, such as connectors having check valves in different positions. In addition, the connector is detachable so that the connector and the pump are easy to clean.
