Abstract
A packing assembly for transporting workpieces which have a plurality of pins, includes at least one packing member. Each packing member includes a top wall which includes at least one packing portion. Each packing portion defines a plurality of receiving grooves for receiving the workpieces. In each receiving groove, a bottom surface and two side surfaces are defined. The two side surfaces extend from opposite sides of the bottom surface. Each packing portion further includes a plurality of connecting surfaces. Each connecting surface connects two adjacent side surfaces of two adjacent receiving grooves, and defines a retrieving groove for facilitating the picking up and extraction of each workpiece. The bottom surface defines a plurality of passing-through holes for receiving and protecting the plurality of pins of the workpieces during transport.
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present disclosure generally relates to mass packing of transportable workpieces, and particularly to a packing assembly suitable for packing workpieces with pins.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- In a transporting process, pins of the workpieces may resist against sidewalls of a packing container, such that the pins are easily damaged. In addition, the workpieces are wholly received in the packing container, so it is inconvenient to pick out or remove the workpieces.
- Therefore, there is room for improvement within the art.
- The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present disclosure. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout several views, and all the views are schematic.
-
FIG. 1 shows an assembled, isometric view of one embodiment of a packing assembly. -
FIG. 2 shows an exploded, isometric view of the packing assembly ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is similar toFIG. 2 , but viewed from another aspect. -
FIG. 4 shows a cross-sectional view of the packing assembly, taken along line IV-IV ofFIG. 1 . - The disclosure is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings in which like references indicate similar elements. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean “at least one.”
-
FIG. 1 shows one embodiment of apacking assembly 100 configured to pack a plurality ofworkpieces 200 which have a plurality of pins 201 (shown inFIG. 4 ). Thepacking assembly 100 includes afirst packing member 10 and asecond packing member 30. Thesecond packing member 30 is stacked on thefirst packing member 10. - Referring also to
FIGS. 2 and 3 , thefirst packing member 10 includes atop wall 11 and asidewall 13 extending from a periphery of thetop wall 11. Thetop wall 11 includes twopacking portions 15 which are located side by side, and defines alatching groove 17 around the periphery thereof. Eachpacking portion 15 defines a plurality of receiving grooves 151 which are located side by side. Theworkpiece 200 is received in one receiving groove 151 and partially protrudes from the receiving groove 151. In each receiving groove 151, a bottom surface 1512 and twoside surfaces 1513 are defined for thepacking portion 15. The twoside surfaces 1513 extend from opposite sides of the bottom surface 1512 for each receiving groove 151. The bottom surface 1512 defines a plurality of passing-through holes 1514 (shown inFIG. 3 ). Thepins 201 of theworkpiece 200 are inserted into the passing-throughholes 1514 to prevent thepins 201 from being damaged in a transporting process. A connectingsurface 1519 is formed to connect twoadjacent side surfaces 1513 of two adjacent receiving portions 151. The connectingsurface 1519 defines a semi-circular retrievinggroove 1517, for facilitating the removal or retrieval of theworkpiece 200 out off thepacking assembly 100. Thesidewall 13 defines a plurality of detachinggrooves 1312 spaced from each other, facilitating the separation of thefirst packing members 10 from any stacked packing assemblies. - The
second packing member 30 is located or disposed on thetop wall 11 of thefirst packing member 10 and has substantially the same structure as that of thefirst packing member 10. In detail, thesecond packing member 30 includes atop wall 31 and asidewall 33 extending from a periphery of thetop wall 31. Thesidewall 33 of thesecond packing member 30 is latched with thetop wall 11 of thefirst packing member 10. Thetop wall 31 includes twopacking portions 35 which are located side by side, and defines alatching groove 37 around the periphery thereof. Eachpacking portion 35 defines a plurality of receivinggrooves 351 which are located side by side. Theworkpiece 200 is received in one receivinggroove 351 and partially protrudes from thereceiving groove 351. In each receivinggroove 351, abottom surface 3512 and twoside surfaces 3513 are defined in thepacking portion 35. The twoside surfaces 3513 extend from opposite sides of thebottom surface 3512. Thebottom surface 3512 defines a plurality of passing-through holes 3514 (shown inFIG. 3 ). Thepins 201 of theworkpiece 200 are inserted into the passing-throughholes 3514 to prevent thepins 201 from being damaged in a transporting process. A connectingsurface 3519 is formed to connect twoadjacent side surfaces 3513 of twoadjacent receiving grooves 351. The connectingsurface 3519 defines a semi-circular retrievinggroove 3517, for facilitating the removal or retrieving of theworkpiece 200. Thesidewall 33 defines a plurality of detachinggrooves 3312 spaced from each other, for facilitating the removal of thesecond packing member 30 from thefirst packing member 10. Thesidewall 33 of thesecond packing member 30 is located on thetop wall 11 of thefirst packing member 10, and latched in thelatching groove 17 of thetop wall 11, such that thesecond packing member 30 is stacked on thefirst packing member 10. - The
bottom surfaces 1512, 3512 define the passing-throughholes pins 201 of theworkpieces 200, to shield thepins 201 from damage. In addition, the connectingsurfaces retrieving grooves workpieces 200 can be picked up and removed easily from thepacking assembly 100. - In other embodiments, the number of the
second packing member 30 can be changed to be more than one, or thesecond packing member 30 can be omitted. - Finally, while various embodiments have been described and illustrated, the disclosure is not to be construed as being limited thereto. Various modifications can be made to the embodiments by those skilled in the art without departing from the true spirit and scope of the disclosure as defined by the appended claims.
