Abstract
The present invention provides a gym wrap device that is comprised of multiple layers of fabric that minimize sweat absorption by wicking away moisture from skin and hair and transferring heat away from the head while also allowing in cooler air. The first layer is a breathable wicking mesh fabric that offers a gripping surface and transfers moisture from the hair to the second layer of the gym wrap. The second fabric layer is designed to act as a temporary “holding” layer as the moisture is eventually wicked away and evaporated through the third layer of fabric that is comprised of a Quick Wicking Poly Pique Knit yarn that offers outstanding moisture management and comfort. This process keeps hair flat thereby making it easier to style after a workout which extends the time of maintaining a hairstyle or hairdo (“Do”).
Description
- The present invention relates generally to a gym wrap, and more particularly to a multi layered gym wrap to protect and prolong the hairstyles of women before, during and after workout or physical activity. On average, it is especially time consuming and expensive for women who exercise to maintain weaves, chemically processing, straightening and relaxing their hair. Moisture generated by the scalp during a workout tends to cause frizz or waves which ruins the hairstyle, leading to wasted time and money. Furthermore, studies have shown that this problem often results in a high percentage of women choosing not to work out.
- Prior art products such as headbands and bandana style products can be found which are designed to keep hair and perspiration off the face during a workout. However, they tend to be bulky with the use of thick pads or desiccants and impractical/unfashionable to wear before, during and after a workout. While somewhat effective in absorbing moisture, none of these products targeted the unique challenges of keeping their hair dry and laced during workout faced by women.
- Therefore it is desirable to provide a gym wrap that helps women to minimize sweating and keep hair flat that is also inexpensive, practical, and aesthetically pleasing, which overcomes the above and other problems.
- The present invention provides a gym wrap device which allows women to reduce their hair's moisture (perspiration) while working out or otherwise engaged in physical activity. The gym wrap is offered in multiple fashionable colors and styles which are suitable for different lengths of hair and different coverage for moisture absorption. The full triangle wrap coverage is ideal for short haircuts and full coverage of the head. The wide band is ideal for all hair lengths and textures and provides coverage all around the head. The narrow band is ideal for all hair lengths and textures. The gym wrap is lightweight, durable, easy to wash and wear as well as being a fashionable accessory. The gym wrap can be designed in various colors, prints, patterns or logos in order to coordinate and accessorize a gym outfit. The gym wrap is comfortable and can be worn before, during and after a workout. The gym wrap is comprised of multiple layers of fabric that facilitate sweat absorption by wicking away moisture from skin and hair and transferring heat away from the head while also allowing in cooler air. This process keeps hair flat making it easy to style after a workout.
