Currently there are limited alternatives to lotion products that avoid the hassles of requiring assistance from other people in what is typically considered a personal activity.
  • The present invention generally relates to a liquid application device. More specifically, the invention is a lotion application device.
  • It is an object of the invention to provide a lotion application device that applies lotion and sunscreen on hard to reach places of a user's body.
  • It is an object of the invention to provide a lotion application device that utilizes an applicator that comes in a plurality of different shapes such as a flower, a star or a diamond.
  • What is really needed is a lotion application device that applies lotion and sunscreen on hard to reach places of a user's body and that utilizes an applicator that comes in a plurality of different shapes such as a flower, a star or a diamond.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will be described by way of exemplary embodiments, but not limitations, illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which like references denote similar elements, and in which:
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front side perspective view of a lotion application device, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS
  • Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
  • Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
  • The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a front side perspective view of a lotion application device 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The lotion application device 100 includes an applicator 110, a hollow handle 120, a comfort grip 130 and a carrying case 140. The lotion application device 100 can be utilized to apply lotions, such as body lotion, skin care lotion, tanning lotion, sunscreen or other suitable lotions. The lotion application device 100 can also be utilized to apply oils, creams, ointments and cosmetics.
  • The applicator 110 is a sponge, although other types of suitable applicator materials can be utilized such as a soft cloth material. The applicator 110 is flower-shaped, although the applicator can be star-shaped, diamond-shaped, heart-shaped, circle-shaped or any other suitable shape. The different shaped applicators 110 are replaceable and interchangeable. The hollow handle 120 holds lotion that is applied to a user through the applicator 110 and is also extendible and retractable up to the length of the hollow handle 120. The lotion in the hollow handle 120 runs through the top 122 of the hollow handle 120 and onto the applicator 110. The hollow handle 120 also includes a comfort grip 130 that is made of slip-resistant and waterproof material disposed on the distal end 124 of the hollow handle 120 to facilitate grasping the hollow handle 120, especially when the hollow handle 120 is wet. The hollow handle 120 is made of waterproof plastic material, although the hollow handle 120 can be made of other suitable materials. The carrying case 140 can be any suitable carrying case or carrying bag that can hold and carry the lotion application device 100 and can be made of any suitable material.
  • The lotion application device is a portable, lightweight device that enables users to facilitate applying lotion or sunscreen to their bodies. The lotion application device serves as an extendable appendage with a comfort grip handle on one end and a spongy applicator at the other end. The lotion application device is also pliable and is equipped to extend even to a user's most remote body areas, such as the back and backside. Once lotion is placed into the dispensing handle, the user then maneuvers the applicator onto the desired location and massages the lotion into his or her skin in a desired fashion. When the lotion application device is retracted, it fits into a carrying case or carrying bag that comes in a variety of ornamental designs.
  • The lotion application device includes a hollow handle which can be refilled with many different products including, but not limited to, oils, creams, ointments, and cosmetics, thereby increasing its practicality and usage. The lotion application device includes an applicator that comes in a plurality of different shapes that can be star-shaped, diamond-shaped, heart-shaped, circle-shaped or any other suitable shape. The lotion application device is approximately 6 to 10 inches in length when fully retracted.
