A hair barrette includes a barrette element having a number of comb teeth for engaging with a head of a user, and having a hook member formed on each of the free ends or outer ends for allowing the hook members of the barrette element to be engaged with each other and for attaching the barrette element onto the hair of the user without spring biasing members, the barrette element includes a base member and two barrette members each having an inner coupling end pivotally coupled to the base member with a hinge line, the barrette element includes a pattern applied onto the outer peripheral portion for decorative purposes.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a hair barrette, and more particularly to a hair barrette including a structure having no spring members provided or engaged therein for easily and readily attached onto the head or hair of the user and for suitably styling the hair of the user.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Typical hair clips comprise two elongated clip members or comb members biased together with a spring biasing member for biasing or forcing the comb members to clasp or to clip the hair of the user.
- For example, U.S. Pat. No. 7,644,717 to Hsu discloses one of the typical hair clips comprising an elongated clip member and a pin member pivotally or rotatably coupled together, and a spring biasing member engaged between the clip members or pin members for biasing the clip members or pin members together and for clasping or clipping the hair of the user.
- However, the hair of the user may be tightly clamped or clasped between the clip members or pin members by the spring biasing member and the hair of the user may have a good chance to be entangled or interfered by the spring biasing member and the user may feel uncomfortable.
- U.S. Pat. No. 5,318,054 to Neilson et al. discloses another typical spiral spring hair barrette assembly comprising a comb and a flat spiral spring to which the comb is attached, the spiral spring has an inside and outside surface, and the inside surface coils around the ponytail when the barrette spring is coiled.
- However, the typical hair barrettes may not be solidly or stably engaged with the hair of the user and may have a good chance to be disengaged from the hair of the user.
- The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional hair barrettes and the hair clips.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hair barrette including a structure having no spring members for easily and readily attached onto the head or hair of the user and for suitably styling the hair of the user.
- In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a hair barrette comprising a barrette body element including a number of comb teeth extended therefrom for engaging with a head of a user, and including two free ends each having a hook member provided thereon, and the hook members of the barrette body element being engageable with each other for stably or suitably attaching the barrette body element onto the hair of the user.
- The barrette body element includes a base member and two barrette members pivotally coupled to the base member. The barrette members each include an inner coupling end pivotally coupled to the base member with a hinge line. The barrette body element may include a pattern provided thereon for marking or decorative purposes.
- Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a hair barrette in accordance with the present invention, at an open or non-working position; -
FIG. 2 is a front plan schematic view of the hair barrette as shown inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is another perspective view of the hair barrette, at a folded or working position; -
FIG. 4 is a front plan schematic view of the hair barrette as shown inFIG. 3 ; -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the hair barrette, illustrating the operation or the attachment of the hair barrette onto a head of the user; -
FIG. 6 is a further perspective view illustrating the other arrangement of the hair barrette; -
FIG. 7 is a front plan schematic view of the hair barrette as shown inFIG. 6 ; -
FIG. 8 is a still further perspective view illustrating the operation of the hair barrette as shown inFIGS. 6 and 7 , at a folded or working position; -
FIG. 9 is a front plan schematic view of the hair barrette as shown inFIG. 8 ; and -
FIG. 10 is a perspective view, illustrating the operation or the attachment of the hair barrette onto a head of the user. - Referring to the drawings, and initially to
FIGS. 1-4 , a hair barrette in accordance with the present invention comprises abarrette body element 1 including an intermediate orbase member 10, and two elongated and/or arched orcurved barrette members coupling end 13 pivotally or rotatably coupled to thebase member 10 with a pivot or coupling or hingeline 14 for allowing thebarrette members base member 10 between an open or unfolded or non-working position as shown inFIGS. 1 and 2 and a folded or closed or working position as shown inFIGS. 3-5 , and each having a number ofcomb teeth 15 for engaging with thehair 80 of theuser 8, and for styling thehair 80 of theuser 8. - The
barrette members outer end 17 having an ear or anchor or stop orcurved hook member 16 formed or provided thereon, and arranged for allowing thehook members 16 of thebarrette members barrette members hair 80 of theuser 8 and to be solidly or stably attached onto thehair 80 of theuser 8 for suitably styling thehair 80 of theuser 8. Thebarrette members patterns 18, or the like attached or applied onto the outer peripheral portion thereof for decorative purposes. - Alternatively, as shown in
FIGS. 6-10 , the base member and thebarrette members 101 of thebarrette body element 1 may be formed integral as a one-piece and curved structure and may also include a number ofcomb teeth 15 for engaging with thehair 80 of theuser 8, and for styling thehair 80 of theuser 8, and may include two free ends orouter ends 17 each having an ear or anchor or stop orcurved hook member 16 formed or provided thereon, and arranged for allowing thehook members 16 of thebarrette members 101 to be engaged with each other and thus for allowing thebarrette members 101 to be suitably and comfortably engaged with thehair 80 of theuser 8 and to be solidly or stably attached onto thehair 80 of theuser 8 for suitably styling thehair 80 of theuser 8. - In operation, as shown in
FIGS. 5 and 10 , thehair 80 of theuser 8 may be suitably and comfortably engaged or clamped or clasped or retained between theclip members base member 10, and thecomb teeth 15 may further engage with thehair 80 of theuser 8 for styling thehair 80 of theuser 8 and for solidly or stably attaching or anchoring onto thehair 80 of theuser 8, without spring biasing members. - Accordingly, the hair barrette in accordance with the present invention includes a structure having no spring members for easily and readily attached onto the head or hair of the user and for suitably styling the hair of the user.
- Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
