Abstract

A working table including a partition separating a housing into a dust compartment and an air compartment, two side fences and a rear casing extended from a table top, the casing includes a chamber and a number of apertures communicative with the dust compartment of the housing, a filter member attached to the partition, a vacuuming device disposed in the air compartment of the housing, and a perforated platform adjustably attached to the table top and tiltable relative to the table top and the housing at a selected inclined angle for allowing the users to suitably work on top of the table top and the perforated platform without worrying the outwardly flying dusts and contaminants.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a working table, and more particularly to a working table including a vacuum cleaner or vacuum mechanism for easily drawing and collecting the cut off dusts or contaminants and for allowing the collected dusts or contaminants to be easily removed or discarded.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Typical working tables, working machines, or table tools or table saws comprise a planar platform for supporting the work pieces, and a working tool for cutting or grinding or machining the work pieces.
  • For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,301,579 to Shiotani et al., and U.S. Pat. No. 6,532,643 to Wang disclose two of the typical table tools or scroll saw machines each also comprising a platform for supporting the work pieces, and a working tool for cutting or grinding or machining the work pieces, and a lot of cut off dusts or contaminants may be generated when the working tool is working on the work pieces.
  • For covering the working tool and for preventing the cut off dusts or contaminants from flying everywhere, a safety cover or safety shield is required to be provided and attached onto or engaged with the working tool for suitably covering the working tool.
  • However, no vacuum cleaners or vacuum mechanisms are provided for drawing and collecting the cut off dusts or contaminants such that the cut off dusts or contaminants may also fly everywhere.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,722,472 to Wang, and U.S. Pat. No. 5,967,717 to Tucker et al. disclose two further typical table tools or working machines each also comprising a platform for supporting the work pieces, and a working tool for cutting or grinding or machining the work pieces, and a tubular extension is directed toward the working tool for suitably drawing and collecting the cut off dusts or contaminants.
  • However, the tubular extension is directed toward only one side of the working tool and may not suitably draw and collect the cut off dusts or contaminants.
  • The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional working tables or working machines.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a working table including a vacuum cleaner or vacuum mechanism for easily drawing and collecting the cut off dusts or contaminants and for allowing the collected dusts or contaminants to be easily removed or discarded.
  • In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a working table comprising a housing including a chamber formed therein, and including a partition disposed in the chamber of the housing for separating the chamber of the housing into a dust compartment and an air compartment, and including a dust guide plate disposed and located above the air compartment of the housing, and including a table top having an opening formed therein, and including two side fences and a rear casing extended upwardly from the table top for forming a space between the side fences and the casing, the casing including a chamber formed therein and communicative with the dust compartment of the housing and including a number of apertures formed therein and communicative with the chamber of the casing for allowing a dust to be drawn into the chamber of the casing and then to be drawn into the dust compartment of the housing, a filter member attached to the partition, a drawer slidably attached to the housing and located below the dust compartment of the housing, a vacuuming device disposed in the air compartment of the housing and including an outlet port, and a perforated platform adjustably attached to the table top and tiltable relative to the table top and the housing at a selected inclined angle for allowing the users to suitably work on top of the table top and the perforated platform without worrying the outwardly flying dusts and contaminants.
  • The housing includes a carrier member attached to or disposed or engaged in the opening of the table top for supporting the platform. The housing includes at least two engaging holes formed in the table top and communicative with the opening of the table top, and the carrier member includes at least two orifices formed therein for engaging with a fastener which is engageable with the engaging holes of the table top and the orifices of the carrier member for adjustably mounting the carrier member to the table top at the selected inclined angle.
  • The carrier member includes an opening formed therein and includes a peripheral flange extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming an inner peripheral shoulder therein and for receiving and supporting the platform.
  • The table top of the housing includes a peripheral flange extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming an inner peripheral shoulder therein and for receiving and supporting the carrier member.
  • The housing includes an opening formed in the partition, and includes a net member attach to the opening of the partition, and includes a holder attached to the partition and located behind the opening of the partition and the net member for suitably supporting the filter member and for attaching the filter member to the partition.
  • The housing includes an opening formed in the dust guide plate, and includes a net member attached to the opening of the dust guide plate, and includes a second filter member attached to the dust guide plate. The housing includes a protective net member attached to the housing and aligned with the outlet port of the vacuuming device for dust or contaminant filtering purposes.
  • Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a working table in accordance with the present invention comprises a receptacle or table housing 10 including a chamber 11 formed therein, and including a partition 12 disposed or attached or mounted or secured in the middle portion of the chamber 11 of the housing 10 for separating the chamber 11 of the housing 10 into a dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 and an air drawing and vacuuming compartment 14, and including a dust guide plate 15 disposed or attached or mounted in one side of the housing 10 and located above the air drawing and vacuuming compartment 14, and preferably tilted or inclined relative to the partition 12 and the housing 10 for suitably guiding and directing the dusts or contaminants into the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 of the housing 10.
  • The dust guide plate 15 includes an opening 16 formed therein for attaching or mounting or securing a fine net member 17, and includes a frame 18 attached or mounted or secured thereto, such as disposed or located below the opening 16 or the net member 17 for receiving or carrying or supporting a filter net member 19, in which the net member 17 and the filter member 19 may be used to filter the dusts or contaminants and to prevent the cut off dusts or contaminants from entering into the air compartment 14 of the housing 10, and for suitably guiding and directing the dusts or contaminants into the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13, and for allowing only the air to flow into the air compartment 14 of the housing 10 (FIG. 7).
  • The partition 12 also includes an opening 20 formed therein for attaching or mounting or securing another fine net member 21, and includes a frame or retainer or holder 22 attached or mounted or secured thereto, such as disposed or located behind the opening 20 or the net member 21 and located in the dust compartment 13 for receiving or carrying or supporting another filter member 23 or for attaching the filter member 23 to the partition 12, in which the net member 21 and the filter member 23 may also be used to filter the dusts or contaminants and to prevent the cut off dusts or contaminants from entering into the air compartment 14, and for suitably guiding and directing the dusts or contaminants into the dust compartment 13, and for allowing only the air to flow into the air compartment 14 (FIG. 7). The housing 10 includes an entrance or space 24 formed therein, such as formed in the lower portion thereof and communicative with the dust compartment 13 for slidably receiving a drawer 25 which is located below the dust compartment 13 and which may be used to receive and to collect the dusts or contaminants (FIGS. 4, 7).
  • An air blower or drawing and vacuuming device 30 is disposed in the air compartment 14 of the housing 10, and includes an outlet port 31 opened outwardly through the housing 10 or communicative with the outer environment of the housing 10, and a protective net member 32 is attached or mounted or secured to the housing 10 and aligned with the outlet port 31 of the vacuuming device 30 for dust or contaminant filtering purposes and for preventing the dust or contaminant from flowing or from entering into the air compartment 14 of the housing 10, and the vacuuming device 30 may be used to vacuum or to force or draw the air out of the housing 10 and may also be used to vacuum or to draw the cut off dusts or contaminants into the dust compartment 13 of the housing 10, best shown in FIG. 7.
  • The housing 10 further includes a table top 40 having an opening 41 formed therein (FIG. 2), and having a peripheral frame or flange 42 extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming or defining an inner peripheral shoulder 43 therein and for receiving or carrying or supporting a frame or carrier member 50, in which the carrier member 50 also includes an opening 51 formed therein (FIG. 2) and also includes a peripheral frame or flange 52 extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming or defining an inner peripheral shoulder 53 therein and for receiving or carrying or supporting a perforated platform 55 which includes a number of orifices 56 formed therein for allowing the cut off dusts or contaminants to flow downwardly into the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 of the housing 10. The perforated platform 55 may also be directly and adjustably attached or mounted or secured onto the table top 40 and tiltable relative to the table top 40 without the carrier member 50.
  • The housing 10 further includes two side fences 44, 45 extended upwardly from the two side portions of the table top 40, and further includes a casing 46 formed or extended upwardly from the rear portion of the table top 40 for forming or defining a partially confined space 47 between or among the side fences 44, 45 and the rear casing 46 and for suitably covering or confining the dusts or contaminants, or for preventing the cut off dusts or contaminants from flying everywhere. The rear casing 46 includes a chamber 48 formed therein and communicative with the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 of the housing 10, and further includes a number of apertures 49 formed therein and communicative with the chamber 48 of the casing 46 for allowing the cut off dusts or contaminants to be drawn laterally or rearwardly into the chamber 48 of the casing 46, and then to be drawn downwardly into the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 of the housing 10.
  • As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4-6, the housing 10 further includes two or more (such as three) attaching or engaging holes 60, 61, 62 formed in each of two side portions thereof, particularly formed in each of four corner areas of the table top 40 and communicative with the opening 41 of the table top 40, and the carrier member 50 also includes two or more (such as three) attaching or engaging orifices 57, 58, 59 formed in each of two side portions thereof, particularly formed in each of four corner areas of the carrier member 50 for receiving or engaging with the fasteners 70 which may be engaged with the selective holes 60, 61, 62 of the table top 40 or of the housing 10 and the selective orifices 57, 58, 59 of the carrier member 50 for adjustably attaching or mounting or securing the carrier member 50 and/or the perforated platform 55 to the table top 40 or the housing 10 at the selective tilted or inclined angle (FIGS. 4-6), and thus for allowing the cut off dusts or contaminants to be suitably guided and directed into the dust receiving and collecting compartment 13 of the housing 10. The perforated platform 55 may also be adjustably attached or mounted or secured onto the table top 40 or the housing 10 at the selective tilted or inclined angle with the fasteners 70 and without the carrier member 50.
  • In operation, as shown in FIG. 7, the vacuuming device 30 may be used to vacuum or to draw the air out of the housing 10 and may also be used to vacuum or to draw the cut off dusts or contaminants through the orifices 56 of the perforated platform 55, and/or through the apertures 49 and the chamber 48 of the casing 46, and then into the dust compartment 13 of the housing 10, the air may be drawn through the net member 17 and the filter member 19, and/or the net member 21 and the filter member 23 which may filter the dusts or contaminants to prevent the cut off dusts or contaminants from entering into the air compartment 14 of the housing 10, and to suitably guide and direct the dusts or contaminants into the dust compartment 13 of the housing 10.
  • Accordingly, the working table in accordance with the present invention includes a vacuum cleaner or vacuum mechanism for easily drawing and collecting the cut off dusts or contaminants and for allowing the collected dusts or contaminants to be easily removed or discarded.
  • Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims (8)

1. A working table comprising:
a housing including a chamber formed therein, and including a partition disposed in said chamber of said housing for separating said chamber of said housing into a dust compartment and an air compartment, and including a dust guide plate disposed and located above said air compartment of said housing, and including a table top having an opening formed therein, and including two side fences and a rear casing extended upwardly from said table top for forming a space between said side fences and said casing, said casing including a chamber formed therein and communicative with said dust compartment of said housing and including a plurality of apertures formed therein and communicative with said chamber of said casing for allowing a dust to be drawn into said chamber of said casing and then to be drawn into said dust compartment of said housing,
a filter member attached to said partition,
a drawer slidably attached to said housing and located below said dust compartment of said housing,
a vacuuming device disposed in said air compartment of said housing and including an outlet port, and
a perforated platform adjustably attached to said table top and tiltable relative to said table top and said housing at a selected inclined angle.
2. The working table as claimed in claim 1, wherein said housing includes a carrier member engaged in said opening of said table top for supporting said platform.
3. The working table as claimed in claim 2, wherein said housing includes at least two engaging holes formed in said table top and communicative with said opening of said table top, and said carrier member includes at least two orifices formed therein for engaging with a fastener which is engageable with said at least two engaging holes of said table top and said at least two orifices of said carrier member for adjustably mounting said carrier member to said table top at the selected inclined angle.
4. The working table as claimed in claim 2, wherein said carrier member includes an opening formed therein and includes a peripheral flange extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming an inner peripheral shoulder therein and for receiving and supporting said platform.
5. The working table as claimed in claim 2, wherein said table top of said housing includes a peripheral flange extended radially and inwardly therefrom for forming an inner peripheral shoulder therein and for receiving and supporting said carrier member.
6. The working table as claimed in claim 1, wherein said housing includes an opening formed in said partition, and includes a net member attach to said opening of said partition, and includes a holder attached to said partition and located behind said opening of said partition and said net member for supporting said filter member and for attaching said filter member to said partition.
7. The working table as claimed in claim 1, wherein said housing includes an opening formed in said dust guide plate, and includes a net member attached to said opening of said dust guide plate, and includes a second filter member attached to said dust guide plate.
8. The working table as claimed in claim 1, wherein said housing includes a protective net member attached to said housing and aligned with said outlet port of said vacuuming device for dust or contaminant filtering purposes.
