Abstract
A fastening system for securing gas tube in the regulator or venturi in gas stove is disclosed. The fastening system may include a double coupling clamp whose center part wraps around the tube and an end which penetrates into the gas regulator or the venturi, allowing the coupling in two side projections foreseen in the regulator or venturi body. The double coupling clamp may allow the gas tube to stay aligned with the regular or venture body to which it is connected.
Description
- This application claims priority to Brazilian Patent Application Number MU8801923-3 filed on Sep. 1, 2008 and is a continuation of PCT Application Number PCT/BR2009/000282 filed on Sep. 1, 2009, each herein incorporated by reference in their entirety.
- The invention relates generally to a fastening system. More specifically, the invention provides a fastening system for gas tubes in the regulator or venturi of gas stoves.
- Currently in gas stoves connections between the gas tube and the regulator is commonly made with the use of elements which are screwed in, which requires accessories such as washers and chemical seals to avoid gas leakages in these joints. This system tends to increase the costs of the final product as a result of increased components cost and the requisite manpower. In other also known connections, a plate strap is used to fasten the tube into the regulator. In this case, the strap used to fix the tube into the regulator has an unreliable coupling, which allows the tube to move sideways and, therefore, a gas leakage is likely to occur in this connection.
- In another similar fastening, instead of using a metallic plate strap, a wire strap is used coupling only one side of the regulator. Here, the same problem with the plate strap occurs, i.e., side misalignment between the tube and the regulator, which may provoke a gas leakage in the connection.
- MU 7502586 presents a gas tubing coupling and its respective terminal, which lacks double coupling clamps and does not provide secure gas tubing alignment. WO 01/38771 A1 describes a transition element between two plug-in type line systems and lacks double coupling clamps among other features and fails to provide a secure attachment. MU 7701371 describes a constructive arrangement for the entry connection of stove gas that comprises two pipe-shaped bodies. MU 7701372 7U describes an easel type extension regulator body. The above listed documents fail to provide the innovative aspects of the present disclosure.
- This disclosure refers to a fastening system for gas tubes in the regulator or venturi of the gas stoves table, comprising of a clamp with double coupling whose center part envelops the tube end which penetrates into the gas regulator or venture, allowing the coupling in two sidelong projections foreseen in the regulator or venturi body. Then, with a double coupling, the gas tube is aligned with the element to which it is connected. Among the advantages of the disclosure is to simplify and improve the connection between the tube and the regulator in order to avoid the drawbacks pointed in the state of the technique through a fastening system, which ensures the tubing alignment and minimize the likelihood of leakage incidents.
- A more complete understanding of the present invention and the advantages thereof may be acquired by referring to the following description in consideration of the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numbers indicate like features, and wherein:
-
FIGS. 1A-1D are illustrative side, rear, top and top cut-away views respectively of an arrangement of the fastening system -
FIGS. 2A-2D are illustrative top, side, top cut-away, and rear views respectively of another arrangement of the fastening system. - In the following description of the various embodiments, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof, and in which is shown by way of illustration various embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. It is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and structural and functional modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- The disclosed connection system may be used in gas stoves that include fastenings for gas tubes (1) providing both a firm connection and the alignment of the elements involved. The system promotes the integration of the gas tube (1) with the stove regulator (2) or with the stove table venturi (3), using a double coupling clamp (4), and its center part (4 a) wraps around the tube end (1) which penetrates into the regulator (2) or into the venturi (3), and whose ends engage in two side projections (5) in the regulator (2) or venturi (3) body.
- In an arrangement with a double coupling, the gas tube (1) remains aligned with the regulator (2) or venturi (3), and depending on the application, thereby minimizes the likelihood of a gas leakage, reduces costs, increases speed and simplifies the system assembly process.
- The fastener clamp (4) of the gas tube (1) includes, on its core, a U-shaped curvature (4 a) which wraps around the tube (1) behind the tube (1) circular expansion. The two ends of the fastener clamp (4) of the tube (1) are projected and bent to the sides of the regulator (2) or venturi (3) cylindrical body, bending ahead once again and partially wrap the two side projections (5) of the regulator (2) or venturi (3) cylindrical body. The clamp (4), so assembled, arranges the tube fastening in the regulator (2) or venturi (3), preventing these from naturally separating, since the circular expansion of the gas tube (1) has a greater diameter than the U portion (4 a) of the clamp (4), and also such expansion stays inside the regulator (2) or venturi (3) end, where the sealing ring is lodged.
-
FIGS. 1A-1D illustratively depict an arrangement of the proposed system applied to the gas regulator (2).FIG. 1A shows a side view of the system, where it is observed the gas tube fastening (1) in the regulator (2) through the clamp (4), using the double coupling in the side projections (5).FIG. 1B illustrates a rear view of the system, providing a view of the “U” curve (4 a) of the clamp (4) and the side projections (5) that receive the clamp fitting (4).FIG. 1C provides a top plan view of the system, depicting the gas tube (1) fastening with the clamp (4) using the side projection (5) of the regulator (2).FIG. 1D shows a cut-way view of the system taken along the line D-D inFIG. 1A showing the gas tube (1) fastening by the clamp (4) to the regulator body (2). -
FIG. 2 illustratively depicts another arrangement of the proposed system applied to the table venturi (3).FIG. 2A is a top plan view of the system, pointing out the gas tube (1) fastening with the clamp (4), using the side projections (5) of the venturi (3).FIG. 2B is a side view of the system, where the gas tube (1) fastening in the venturi (3) through the clamp (4), using the double coupling in the side projections (5) is apparent.FIG. 2C shows a cut-way view of the system along the line C-C inFIG. 2B and depicts the gas tube (1) fastening through the clamp (4) to the venturi body (3).FIG. 2D illustratively depicts a rear view of the system, providing a view of the “U” curve (4 a) of the clamp (4) and the side projections (5) that receive the clamp fitting (4). - This invention is not limited to the representations mentioned or illustrated herein, and it has to be comprehended in its wide scope. Many changes and other representations of the invention will come in mind of those skilled in the technique to which this invention belongs, having the learning benefit presented in previous descriptions and attached drawings. Further, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed specific shape and that changes and other shapes are understood as enclosed within the scope of the attached claims. Although specific terms are nominated herein, they are only used in a generic and descriptive form and not for a limiting purpose.
- While the invention has been described with respect to specific examples including presently preferred modes of carrying out the invention, those skilled in the art will appreciate that there are numerous variations and permutations of the above described systems and techniques. Thus, the spirit and scope of the invention should be construed broadly as set forth in the appended claims.
