Apart from above basic features, this product has a central hollow area by creating two different length comb area curved inwardly and the whole plate curved inwardly vertically and horizontally
This product also has pin grips to stop the hair sliding down and notches to hold an elastic band to secure tightly both hair and the plate in place.

Description

    TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD
  • This invention is concerned with a plate placed within the hair as a foundation base in order to make secure dressed up hair.
  • [Background technology]
  • There have been ways of holding the hair up using a variously shaped hair clips after making a pony tail with a coated elastic band.
  • [Problem that this invention was trying to solve]
  • It has always been difficult for a woman to make her hair up by herself securely and beautifully. It often ends up with so misshaped and untidy result that she has to go to a hairdresser and seek other people's help.
  • [Means to solve the problem]
  • The basic solution is to attach comb parts and arms to hold a hair clip to the plate. This invention creates single or multiple hollows in the hair by its shape. Also, the pin grips under the plate secure the hair in place and the notches (4) hold the coated elastic bands. These are the main features of this invention.
  • [Effects of this invention]
  • Using this invention made it possible for a woman to make her hair up easily and beautifully by herself. Also, it enables to maintain firmly secured dressed up hair for a long time by creating comb area, pins and notches for a coated elastic band. Women can now make various dressed up hair by using her chosen different kinds of hair clasps available in the market placed onto the arms of this invention. Because this hair plate is hidden inside, she can use the hair clasp of her choice to make the completed dressed up hair.

    [Description of this invention]
  • This invention is made up of one piece of plate shown in FIG. 1, and used vertically with a hair clasp on the left side for example. The plate can be made from any kind of material as long as it is of light weight and of certain strength or hardness. For example, synthetic resin or aluminium, etc. The plate is formed with both vertical comb parts (1) curved inwardly. There is a hollow between the comb parts, and pin grips (9) are attached around the hollow in order to stop the plate from slipping down.
  • Two comb parts are of different length and there is a notch (4) on each end and arms for holding a hair clasp (2). The elastic band can be a separate ring shaped band or can be attached to the plate itself (6). The parts for holding a hair clasp are formed at both ends of the shorter comb area stretching outwards slightly curved inwardly (8), and can be either L shaped (2) or O shaped (FIG. 8) in order to secure various types of hair clasp firmly onto the hair.
  • Also the whole plate itself is curved inwardly, shown in (FIG. 2).
  • This invention is composed of above features. Now I will explain how to use it. In the case of a hair clasp to be placed vertically on left side, put your whole hair into a pony tail slightly towards right side, and hold it with your right hand, place the plate vertically on to the hair close to right side of your head with your left hand (FIG. 4). Then coil your hair round the plate clockwise (FIG. 5), and with your left hand put an elastic band over the hair hooking into the notches of the plate. Turn the plate with hair coiled around 180° to the left (FIG. 6). Finally place your hair clasp upwards from the bottom hooking onto both ends of the plate (FIG. 7).
  • [Possible design modifications]
  • See (FIG. 8) to (FIG. 17).
  • (FIG. 8) shows that the parts of hair clasp holder can be O shaped.
  • (FIG. 9) shows that the elastic band can be attached to the plate when manufactured (6). As one end of the band is already secured, the other end can be hooked into the other gap.
  • (FIG. 10) shows that instead of the gaps for the elastic band, something to cover the hair and the plate, either attached to the plate or detachable, can be used.
  • (FIG. 11) shows that the longer part of comb area can be curved the opposite way. This style is suited for horizontal use.
  • (FIG. 12) shows that the plate has narrower comb areas on top and bottom of the plate with the gaps for the elastic band. This main plate is also used for holding a hair clasp. This style is suited for the use of having a hair clasp in the middle.
  • (FIG. 13) shows that the arms that hold a hair clasp can be omitted. A hair clasp can be hooked to either one or both parts of the curved comb area.
  • (FIG. 14) shows that a hair clasp can be attached to the plate. This style has a built in hair clasp (14), which can be pulled out and in, and completely hidden inside the hair. In this case, the shorter comb (15) can hold a hair clasp at the same time.
  • (FIG. 15) shows that both hair clasp hidden inside and decorative one remaining outside (16) can be attached to the plate.
  • (FIG. 16) shows that a hair clasp which is built in to the plate can cover the plate and hair. It can be two separate parts or with one end of the cover attached to the plate.
