Abstract
The invention related to a combination wallmount and desktop structure, which has an improved structure and thus can be used on both a wall and a desk. The structure can be hung on the wall or stood up on the desk for a user's convenience, and can be folded using a folding part, thus increasing the user's convenience and reducing the volume during a delivery process, and can be used as a wallmount structure or as a desktop structure without making it necessary to purchase the wallmount structure and the desktop structure separately, thus reducing costs.
Description
- The present invention relates generally to a combination wallmount and desktop structure and, more particularly, to an improved combination wallmount and desktop structure, which is constructed so that the combination can be placed on a desk or hung and supported on a wall, according to a user's intention.
- Generally, a desk calendar is provided with a triangular support part comprising thick triangular cardboard, so that the calendar can be stood on a desk. Several calendar pages are rotatably coupled to one surface or the other surface of the triangular support part by fitting a coil spring into ends of the pages.
- Such a desk calendar requires a separate packing box for delivery through postal mail service. Since the packing box has a large volume, it is not easy to deliver the desk calendar. Further, the manufacturing cost is increased. When the desk calendar has been sent to a person, the original function of the packing box is not needed, and thus the packing box is discarded and generates waste.
- Further, when the desk calendar is delivered in a relatively cheap plastic bag in place of the packing box, the coil spring, which is not strong, may be deformed during the delivery process, so that the desk calendar may be damaged. Such damage to the desk calendar results in dissatisfied consumers.
- Meanwhile, since a wall calendar does not require an additional support structure, a large number of wall calendars can be stacked and stored. When such a wall calendar is packed, the wall calendar does not require an additional packing box. As when the wall calendar is stored, many wall calendars can be carried after they are stacked, and put into a box or a bag. However, the wall calendar is problematic in that it is impossible to stand the wall calendar up on a horizontal surface, unlike the desk calendar. Further, in order to attach the wall calendar to a wall, hardware protruding from the wall, such as a nail or a screw, is required.
- Further, if either one of the above-mentioned wall calendar or the desk calendar has a shape that is unsuitable for a user, the calendar cannot be used, thus limiting the installation options, and the desired type of calendar must subsequently be purchased, thus incurring additional cost.
- Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide an improved combination wallmount and desktop structure, which can be used on a wall or a desk according to a user's selection, thus having the advantages of both wall calendars and desk calendars.
- In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a combination wallmount and desktop structure, including a main body which has a shape of a plate, with at least one page coupled to a first end of the main body via a connecting means, a wall-mounting surface which extends from a second end of the main body, is folded via a folding part, and has a hanger means to be mounted to a wall, and a coupling means for detachably attaching the wall-mounting surface to the main body.
- The connecting means includes a plurality of coupling holes which are formed in the first end of the main body and an end of the page, respectively, and a coupling ring which is inserted into the coupling holes.
- The hanger means includes an extension surface extending outwards from the wall-mounting surface, and a wall-mounting hole formed at a predetermined position in the extension surface.
- The hanger means includes an extension surface extending outwards from the wall-mounting surface, a support member integrally attached to the wall, and a fastening member integrally fastened to a back of the extension surface and detachably attached to the support member.
- The support member and the fastening member are a Velcro fastener.
- The fastening member is a magnetic member, and the support member is made of a metal material that can be held to the fastening member by magnetic force.
- The combination wallmount and desktop structure further includes a holding surface which extends from the wall-mounting surface, and is folded by at least one folding part, an end of the holding surface being detachably attached to a back of the wall-mounting surface.
- The wall-mounting surface includes a holder, the holder being cut at a pre-determined portion thereof from the wall-mounting surface and being integrally coupled at a predetermined portion thereof to the wall-mounting surface in such a way as to be folded, thus allowing both sides of the holder to be bent backwards.
- The connecting means includes a plurality of fitting slots each having a shape of a slash and formed in the page so that corners of a planar article are fitted into the fitting slots.
- The coupling means includes a coupling member, which is made of a magnet and is provided on a front of the wall-mounting surface at a position where the coupling ring contacts the wall-mounting surface, when the combination is folded by the folding part.
- The coupling means includes pieces of tape which are provided at corresponding positions on the wall-mounting surface and the main body.
- The present invention provides a combination wallmount and desktop structure, which has an improved structure that can be used for both a wall and a desk, so that the combination can be hung on the wall or can be stood up on the desk for a user's convenience, and can be folded using a folding part, thus increasing the user's convenience and reducing the volume during a delivery process, and which can be used as a wallmount structure or as a desktop structure without requiring the separate purchase of a wallmount structure or a desktop structure, thus reducing the cost.

FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing the state where a holder is additionally attached to a wall-mounting surface of the combination wallmount and desktop structure; -
FIG. 11 is a perspective view showing a combination wallmount and desktop structure, according to the third embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 12 is a perspective view showing the coupled state of the combination wallmount and desktop structure ofFIG. 11 ; and -
FIG. 13 is a perspective view showing a combination wallmount and desktop structure, according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. - Hereinafter, the preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawings, the same reference numerals are used throughout the different drawings to designate the same or similar components.
- A combination wallmount and desktop structure according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to
FIGS. 1 to 4 . The combination includes amain body 110 having a plate shape, a wall-mounting surface 120, and a coupling means. A plurality ofpages 200 is rotatably coupled to one end of themain body 110 via acoupling ring 150. The wall-mounting surface 120 extends from the other end of themain body 110 in such a way as to rotate via at least one foldingpart 130 which is formed on the other end of themain body 110. The wall-mounting surface 120 is provided with a hanger means for hanging the combination on a wall W. The coupling means selectively attaches or detaches the wall-mounting surface 120 to or from themain body 110, thus allowing the combination to be stood up on a desk. - In a detailed description, the hanger means includes an
extension surface 125 which is formed by extending part of the wall-mounting surface 120 outwards, and at least onehole 125 a which is formed in theextension surface 125. Thus, in a general manner, ahanger member 610, such as a nail or a screw protruding from the wall, is inserted into thehole 125 a, so that the combination is secured to the wall. - Preferably, the
extension surface 125 extends from one edge of the wall-mounting surface 120 in such a way as to be rotatably folded. An advertisement may be attached to or printed on theextension surface 125. - The coupling means includes the
coupling ring 150, which is made of a metal material, and at least onecoupling member 310, which is installed at a predetermined position on the front of the wall-mounting surface 120 and is made of a magnetic material, so that thecoupling ring 150 made of the metal material is attached to thecoupling member 310 by magnetic force. - The folding
part 130 is provided between themain body 110 and the wall-mounting surface 120, and is formed in a horizontal direction so that themain body 110 and the wall-mounting surface 120 can be bent and rotated. The foldingpart 130 comprises a plurality of folding parts which are spaced apart from each other, thus serving as a bottom surface when the combination is used as a desktop structure. - That is, the wall-
mounting surface 120 and themain body 110 are obliquely supported by thefolding part 130, and are detachably attached to each other by the coupling means. Thereby, when seen from the side, the combination has a triangular cross-section. -
FIG. 5 shows another example of a hanger means, according to the present invention. In place of the above-mentioned hanger member andhole 125 a, hook and pile pieces of aVelcro fastener 125 b are provided on the back of theextension surface 125 and the wall W, thus allowing the combination to be detachably attached to the wall W. - That is, the hanger means, used to attach the combination to the wall W, includes a hook or pile piece (not shown) of the Velcro fastener, which is integrally attached to the wall, and a pile or hook piece of the Velcro fastener, which is integrally attached to the back of the
extension surface 125 or the wall-mountingsurface 120, and corresponds to the hook or pile piece of the wall. The hook and pile pieces of the wall W and theextension surface 125 or wall-mountingsurface 120 engage with each other, so that the combination is secured to the wall W. -
FIG. 6 shows a further example of a hanger means, according to the present invention. The hanger means includes asupport member 400 which is integrally attached to the wall W and is made of a metal material, and afastening member 125 c which comprises a magnet to be attached to thesupport member 400 by magnetic force and is integrally attached to the back of the wall-mountingsurface 120 or theextension surface 125. - Here, the
support member 400 may comprise a magnet, which is the same as the material of thefastening member 125 c, in place of the metal material. - The combination constructed as described above may be used as a desktop structure or a wallmount structure according to a user's intention. When the combination is used as the wallmount structure, the combination is hung on the wall W using the hanger means. The
pages 200, coupled via thecoupling ring 150, rotate around thefolding part 130 to be in close contact with the wall-mountingsurface 120. The rotatedpages 200 are hung on the wall and are kept in close contact with the wall-mountingsurface 120 by thecoupling ring 150 and thecoupling member 310. - The
coupling ring 150, made of the metal material, is attached to thecoupling member 310, made of the magnetic material, so that the wall-mountingsurface 120 is kept near themain body 110. - Further, the
pages 200 are kept in close contact with each other using thecoupling ring 15 and thecoupling member 310. Alternatively, in the state where thefolding part 130 is not folded, thepages 200 may be in close contact with the wall and thus used. - Meanwhile, when the combination is used as a desktop structure, the wall-mounting
surface 120 and themain body 110 are bent and are obliquely supported relative to thefolding part 130 to thus have a triangular cross-section when seen from a side. Thecoupling ring 150 is integrally coupled to thecoupling member 310 of the wall-mountingsurface 120 by magnetic force, and thefolding part 130 is in contact with a bottom surface, such as a desk. Thereby, the combination is stood up on the desk. -
FIG. 7 shows the second embodiment of the present invention. As in the first embodiment, a combination wallmount and desktop structure of the second embodiment includes amain body 110, to which a plurality ofpages 200 is coupled, a wall-mountingsurface 120 which is foldably coupled to themain body 110, and a coupling means, which selectively couples themain body 110 to the wall-mountingsurface 120. However, the combination wallmount and desktop structure of the second embodiment further includes a holder on the wall-mountingsurface 120. Both sides of the central portion of the wall-mountingsurface 120 are cut, thus providingsupports locking flap 126 c is foldably provided between thesupports supports - That is, the holder is cut at predetermined portions thereof so as to form the
supports locking flap 126 c is formed to be foldable and rotated backwards, after thesupports locking flap 126 c interfere with the bent supports 126 a and 126 b, thus locking thesupports - Reference numeral “140” denotes a connection surface which connects the
main body 110 to the wall-mountingsurface 120. The connection surface defines a space when thepages 200 are turned over to the back surface of themain body 110. -
FIG. 8 shows a modification of the second embodiment according to the present invention. The holder comprises a holdingsurface 127 which is foldable, extends from one end of the wall-mountingsurface 120 and is folded several times to serve as a bottom surface. - In a detailed description, the holding
surface 127 has a structure similar to thefolding part 130 of the first embodiment. However, the holdingsurface 127 is not positioned between the wall-mountingsurface 120 and themain body 110, but extends from the end of the wall-mountingsurface 120 and is folded several times to be in contact with a support surface, such as a desk. - Thus, when the holding
surface 127 is formed, thefolding part 130 of the first embodiment can be omitted. - Further, an
extension surface 125 used for coupling the combination to the wall W is cut from the wall-mountingsurface 120 so as to be bent from the end of the wall-mountingsurface 120. - The holding
surface 127 is bent at one end and attached to the lower portion of the back of the wall-mountingsurface 120 with tape or an adhesive 350. Alternatively, the holdingsurface 127 may be detachably attached to the wall-mounting surface using a magnet or a Velcro fastener. Further, as shown inFIG. 9 ,fitting pieces 127 a may protrude from one end of the holdingsurface 127, andfitting slots 120 a, each having the shape of a slash, may be formed in the wall-mountingsurface 120 so that thefitting pieces 127 a can be fitted into thefitting slots 120 a. - Furthermore, as shown in
FIG. 10 , astand 500 having the function of a holder may be attached to the back of the wall-mountingsurface 120 using an adhesive or tape. -
FIGS. 11 and 12 show the third embodiment of the present invention. According to this embodiment, aholder 700 is provided to have the function of the wall-mountingsurface 120, and thus the wall-mountingsurface 120 is omitted. In the same manner as the above-mentionedholding surface 127, the supports and the locking flap integrally extend. Theholder 700 is connected to themain body 110 to extend from the center of one end of themain body 110.Support wings holder 700, and alocking flap 720 is provided in the central portion of theholder 700 to be rotatably bent, thus locking thebent support wings - Further, a
coupler 750 extends integrally from themain body 110 so that theholder 700 is spaced apart from one end of themain body 110. When the combination is used as a desktop structure, thecoupler 750 causes themain body 110 to be spaced apart from thesupport wings - Attaching
members main body 110 and theholder 700 so that themain body 110 is detachably attached to theholder 700. The attachingmembers -
FIG. 13 shows the fourth embodiment of the present invention. Fittingslots 210 are formed at positions adjacent to respective comers of thepages 200. The corners of a planar article G are inserted into the corresponding fitting slots so as to support the planar article G. - That is, the
fitting slots 210, each having the shape of a slash, are formed in the comers of thepages 200. The corners of the planar article G, such as refillable memo paper, a calendar page, or a photograph, are fitted into thefitting slots 210. - According to this embodiment, the
fitting slots 210 are formed in thepages 200. However, thefitting slots 210 may be formed in themain body 110. In this case, the pages may be omitted. - The
pages 200 of the invention may be made of various materials other than paper material. For example, the pages may be calendar pages, on which dates are printed, several memo papers, which are coupled to each other via thecoupling ring 150, or may beadhesive pages 200 to be used one by one. - Further, the
pages 200 may use sheets of a picture album, capable of receiving memo papers, photographs, or pictures. - As described above, the present invention provides a combination wallmount and desktop structure, which has an improved structure that can be used for both a wall and a desk, so that the combination can be hung on the wall or can be stood up on the desk for a user's convenience, and can be folded using a folding part, thus increasing the user's convenience and reducing the volume during a delivery process, and which can be used as a wallmount structure or as a desktop structure without requiring the separate purchase of a wallmount structure or a desktop structure, thus reducing the cost.
- Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
Claims (11)
1. A combination wallmount and desktop structure, comprising:
a main body having a shape of a plate, with at least one page coupled to a first end of the main body via connecting means;
a wall-mounting surface extending from a second end of the main body, folded via a folding part, and having hanger means to be mounted to a wall; and
coupling means for detachably attaching the wall-mounting surface to the main body.
2. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the connecting means comprises:
a plurality of coupling holes formed in the first end of the main body and an end of the page, respectively; and
a coupling ring inserted into the coupling holes.
3. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the hanger means comprises:
an extension surface extending outwards from the wall-mounting surface; and a wall-mounting hole formed at a predetermined position in the extension surface.
4. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the hanger means comprises:
an extension surface extending outwards from the wall-mounting surface; a support member integrally attached to the wall; and
a fastening member integrally fastened to a back of the extension surface, and detachably attached to the support member.
5. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 4 , wherein the support member and the fastening member are a Velcro fastener.
6. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 4 , wherein the fastening member is a magnetic member, and the support member is made of a metal material that can be held to the fastening member by magnetic force.
7. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , further comprising:
a holding surface extending from the wall-mounting surface, and folded by at least one folding part, an end of the holding surface being detachably attached to a back of the wall-mounting surface.
8. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the wall-mounting surface comprises a holder, the holder being cut at a predetermined portion thereof from the wall-mounting surface and being integrally coupled at a predetermined portion thereof to the wall-mounting surface in such a way as to be folded, thus allowing both sides of the holder to be bent backwards.
9. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the connecting means comprises a plurality of fitting slots each having a shape of a slash and formed in the page so that corners of a planar article are fitted into the fitting slots.
10. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the coupling means comprises a coupling member, which is made of a magnet and is provided on a front of the wall-mounting surface at a position where the coupling ring contacts the wall-mounting surface, when the combination is folded by the folding part.
11. The combination wallmount and desktop structure as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the coupling means comprises pieces of tape which are provided at corresponding positions on the wall-mounting surface and the main body.
