Abstract
A multi-function worktable comprises a bottom plate including two cylindrical members disposed at two sides thereof and having through grooves formed therein, and four leg assemblies affixed to the front and rear ends of the two cylindrical members individually for extension and extraction, an overturning mechanism fixed between the two cylindrical members for using the top plate in different modes, wherein the overturning mechanism includes two opposite guide slots formed in the two cylindrical members, and the top plate includes two rollers mounted on two sides thereof where correspond to one ends of the guide slots respectively, such that as moving the top plate upward, the two rollers may rollingly move frontward and backward along the two guide slots so as to change the top plate in different use modes.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a multi-function worktable that may easily overturn the top plate for changing the use mode by way of an overturning mechanism.
- 2. Description of the Prior Arts
- As illustrated in
FIG. 1 , a prior artmulti-function worktable 10 comprises atable plate 11 including two side surfaces for use in different modes. Thetable plate 11 includes a top surface in the form of a plane provided thereon and having receivingcompartments 111 mounted thereon for placing tools or parts in a workbench mode, and includes a net-shaped pedal arranged on the bottom surface thereof for the user's stepping thereon in a scaffold mode. Thetable plate 11 further includescoupling portions 12 attached on two sides thereof and having positioningdevices 121 fixed therein respectively. Thecoupling portions 12 includes leg supports 13 axially secured on the two ends thereof individually for using thepositioning devices 121 of thecoupling portions 12 to control the rotations and positions of the leg supports 13. In addition, the leg supports 13 are connected to thetable plate 11 by way of theconnecting rod assemblies 14, so that the leg supports 13 may stably support thetable plate 11. Referring toFIGS. 2 and 3 , as changing theworktable 10 from a workbench mode to a scaffold mode, the connectingrod assemblies 14 are disengaged from one ends of the leg supports 13 individually, and thepositioning devices 121 of the connectingrod assemblies 14 are released so as to rotate the leg supports 13 toward another sides. After they are pivotally rotated to proper angles, thepositioning devices 121 of thecoupling portions 12 are changed for fixing the leg supports 13, and then the connectingrod assemblies 14 are coupled to the leg supports 13 individually, thereby overturning theworktable 10 for use in a scaffold mode. - Nevertheless, such a
prior art worktable 10 still has the following disadvantages: - 1. Because during the changing operation of the use mode, the
connecting rod assemblies 14 have to be disengaged from one ends of the leg supports 13, and then the leg supports 13 are axially rotated to proper angles and positioned individually. Thereafter, the connectingrod assemblies 14 are joined to the leg supports 13 again, causing a tedious changing operation. - 2. Furthermore, as axially rotating the leg supports 13 and overturning the
worktable 10, the user has to finish the mode-changing operation by himself, resulting in a difficult and labor consuming operation. - The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a multi-function worktable that may easily overturn the top plate for changing the use mode.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a multi-function worktable that may overturn the top plate with saving labor by using an overturning mechanism.
- In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a multi-function worktable comprising a bottom plate including two cylindrical members disposed at two sides thereof and having through grooves formed therein, and four leg assemblies affixed to the front and rear ends of the two cylindrical members individually for extension and extraction, an overturning mechanism being fixed between the two cylindrical members for using the top plate in different modes, wherein the overturning mechanism includes two opposite guide slots formed in the two cylindrical members, and the top plate includes two rollers mounted on two sides thereof where correspond to one ends of the guide slots respectively, such that as moving the top plate upward, the two rollers may rollingly move frontward and backward along the two guide slots so as to change the top plate in different use modes.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIGS. 4-6 , a multi-function worktable in accordance with the present invention comprises abottom plate 20, twocylindrical members leg assemblies top plate 27, thebottom plate 20 including a plurality ofelongated stems 201 for supporting thetop plate 27 thereon, at the front and rear sides of which are provided withshoulders 202 respectively, at the lower side of which is disposed adrawer 203 for placing objects therein. The twocylindrical members bottom plate 20, and include throughgrooves grooves bolts legs leg assemblies cylindrical members coupling portions through grooves annular indentions bolts legs cylindrical members legs extensions leg assemblies leg assemblies bottom plate 20 are defined with retractable connectingrod assemblies legs shoulders 202 of thebottom plate 20 such that the leg assemblies 23, 24, 25, 26 allow to securely support thebottom plate 20 and to be retractably stored. Besides, the left leg assemblies 23, 24 and the right leg assemblies 25, 26 couple with thebrackets bottom plate 20. Atop plate 27 is mounted between the twocylindrical members grips 271 arranged on the front and rear sides thereof respectively, and includes a plane formed on the top surface thereof and having receivingcompartments 272 provided thereon for placing tools or parts in a workbench mode. On the other hand, the bottom surface of thetop plate 27 is constructed in the form of antislip patterns so that the user may step thereon safely while in a scaffold mode. Additionally, between thetop plate 27 and the twocylindrical members opposite guide slots cylindrical members top plate 27 includes tworollers guide slots grip 271 is held to push thetop plate 27 upwardly, the tworollers top plate 27 and the twocylindrical members engaging pieces top plate 27, and the twocylindrical members fixing recesses engaging pieces cylindrical members fixing recesses engaging pieces top plate 27, and as theengaging pieces fixing recesses engaging pieces fixing recesses top plate 27 is positioned for preventing its shocking, and while controlling theengaging pieces top plate 27 is released for being overturned. - With reference to
FIGS. 7 and 8 , by using the overturning mechanism between the twocylindrical members top plate 27, thetop plate 27 permits to be overturned directly for changing use mode. For example, as changing a workbench mode to a scaffold mode, thetop plate 27 is disengaged from the positioning mechanism of the twocylindrical members grip 271 so as to axially rotate thetop plate 27 upward by using the tworollers FIG. 9 , after thetop plate 27 is rotated upward, it may be pushed toward another side along theguide slots rollers FIG. 10 , as therollers top plate 27 displaces to another side, thetop plate 27 may be further moved downward by using therollers FIG. 11 , as thetop plate 27 is pushed to the lateral position, its bottom surface with the antislip patterns faces upward, and then the positioning mechanism is utilized to secure thetop plate 27, thus finishing the change of the use mode. - With reference to
FIG. 12 , theextensions legs top plate 27, thereby providing the user to work at a higher position. - As illustrated in
FIG. 13 , as desiring to store the worktable, the leg assemblies 23, 24, 25, 26 have to be retracted to the lateral positions of the sides of thetop plate 27, thus finishing the storage. - The invention is not limited to the above embodiment but various modifications thereof may be made. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and detail may made without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
