Abstract

The present invention is about a surfboard, especially the one that can measure the surfing speed by itself. This “surfboard with the function of speed measurement” comprises a surfboard body and a speed meter fitted to the surfboard body that can measure the surfing speed by itself and record the surfing speed and relevant data. Advantages of this invention would be no need for additional speed measuring devices and assistance from other people. The surfer can obtain the surfing speed and relevant data while surfing, which will be shown on the LCD display screen on the surfboard.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • 1. Field of Invention
  • This invention is about a surfboard, especially the one that can measure the surfing speed by itself.
  • 2. Description of Related Arts
  • Surfing is a very tense and exciting water sport, during which the surfer usually stands on a narrow and long surfboard, riding the wave and skimming over the water. In addition, there is another type of surfing, so called “body surfing”, during which surfers surf without the use of the surfboard. When surfing, the surfer needs to accurately seize the timing to surf and to quicky act upon it, and to know how to keep the body balance at the same time. Nowadays, surfing has become a fashionable sport, and surfers enjoy surfing very much. However, with the use of conventional surfboard, surfers can only obtain flow balance and turbulence while surfing. Sufers don't know the surfing speed and the numerical data unless depending on additional instruments and assistance from other people, Taking the deficiency of conventional surfboards into consideration, the inventor has made this invention called “surfboard with the function of speed measurement”.
  • SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • This invention is to improve the deficiencies of the above-mentioned conventional technologies, and to offer a surfboard that can measure and record the surfing speed and the relevant data.
  • This invention adopts the following technical solutions to solve technical problems:
  • The surfboard with the function of speed measurement comprises a surfboard body and a speed meter fitted to the surfboard that can measure the surfing speed and record the relevant data.
  • The said speed meter fitted to the surfboard comprises a LCD display screen, a PCB board for performing functions in the circuit, a PCB enclosure for fixing the PCB board, and waterproof PVC keys. Inside the speed meter, there is a power supply device, comprising a power supply, spring plates for conducting electricity, a power cap, and a waterproof seal ring. The power cap is screwed to the surfboard body.
  • There is a gripper device on the surface of the surfboard body for fitting the whole speed meter, which will couple the speed meter and the surfboard body more tightly and enable the surfer to operate the speed meter in a more convenient way. Besides, the surfer can also use an out-hung speed meter, which is to hang the speed meter onto the surfboard body.
  • Advantages of this invention “surfboard with the function of speed measurement” would be no need for additional speed measuring devices and assistance from other people. The surfer can obtain the speed and relevant data while surfing, which will be shown on the LCD display screen on the surfboard.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 illustrates the integral structure in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates the structural decomposition in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates the working principle block diagram in accordance with the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Further illustration on this invention “surfboard with the function of speed measurement” according to FIGS. 1 through 3:
  • A surfboard with the function of speed measurement comprises a surfboard body (10) and a speed meter (20) fitted to the surfboard body (10) that can measure the surfing speed by itself and record the surfing speed and relevant numerical data.
  • The speed meter (20) fitted to the surfboard body (10) comprises a LCD display screen (25), a PCB board (21) for performing functions in the circuit, a PCB enclosure (22) for fixing the PCB board (21), and waterproof PVC keys (23). Inside the speed meter (20), there is a power supply device (24), comprising a power supply (241), spring plates (242) for conducting electricity, a power cap (243), and a waterproof seal ring (244). On the bottom side of the speed meter (20), there is a fixing board (26), which is used for fixing the LCD display screen (25) and the PCB board (21). In addition, a seal ring (27) is used in the power cap (243) for waterproof purpose. The power cap (243) is fixed to the surfboard body with a screw (28) and a nut (29).
  • There is a gripper device (11) on the surfboard body (10) for fitting the whole speed meter (20), which will couple the speed meter (20) and the surfboard body (10) more tightly and allow the surfer to operate the speed meter (20) in a more convenient way. Besides, to accommodate various needs, the surfer can also use an out-hung speed meter (20), which is to hang the speed meter onto the surfboard body (10).
  • FIG. 3 shows the work flow of the speed meter (20): First, the sensor (1) converts motion signals into corresponding electric signals and sends three sets of signals corresponding with X, Y and Z axises respectively to the micro-processor (2), which will conduct analog-to-digital conversion and process these signals with the operational software. After this step, relevant accelation data will be calculated out. Next, resulting data will be shown on the LCD display screen (3) and saved in the memory (5). The power supply controller (4) will provide power to the above-mentioned components. Press the key (6) to turn on/off the micro-controller (2).
  • What is described above is just a preferred embodiment of this invention “surfboard with the function of speed measurement”, and it doesn't restrict the technical scope of this invention. Any minor alteration, equal change or modification to the above-mentioned embodiment based on the technical essence of this invention is still within the scope of the technical solution of this invention.
