However, this conventional method of making grip requires a lot of effort, time and money to form the shape, and in case of using the layering method, it is difficult to measure precisely how much covering is needed due to the difficulty of locating and distancing the material on the grip and there is often under/over stock of the material.
- When playing golf, the player perspires a lot in his/her hands so grip is a part where it is easily contaminated and spoiled by the sweat thus, it is normal that the grip formed by the above coverings or plasters are transparent and manufactured in dark colors such as black or dark blue, etc.
- The grip is the most noticeable part of golf club and it attracts the eyes of user the most thus, all the manufactures print their publicity letters or diagram such as the company logo or name of product and etc., on the top layer of grip of golf club, or mold it by the use of raising or engraving and color the molded part to highlight or, stick the printed advertisement on the exterior to show the origin of the advertisement or the publicity. Such grip of golf club is the most noticeable part of golf club and also the part where user has the most direct and frequent contacts.
- However, this conventional type of prints where the printed contents of advertisement is on the surface of grip has a number of problems. It can easily be contaminated and spoiled by the sweat of user and dirt, also when the raising and engraving method is used, it is often difficult for the user to understand the contents of advertisement, and in case of using the sticker with the advertising contents, due to the sweat in hands of player, it comes off easily and the adhesive part of sticker sticks to the hands of user which make him/her feeling uncomfortable and irritated by having the sticky hands.

Here, because the above transparent club (30) is made of very soft material, when the grip (G) is fuzzy, the user can feel the perpendicular protrusion (14), and such perpendicular protrusion (14) also prevents the slipping or deforming when the user grabs the grip (G) while the user can feel the perpendicular protrusion (14) with the thumb and palm of hand and be able to fuzzy the grip (G) precisely - As illustrated in
FIGS. 8 , 9 a, 9 b, perpendicular protrusion (14) in accordance with the present invention can be formed as one type on the exterior of body of grip (10), on the other hand, as illustrated inFIGS. 12 a, 12 b, perpendicular groove (14 a) is formed on the exterior of body of grip (10) and it can also be formed by inserting a perpendicular protrusion (14) that is made of hard materials like plastic to the perpendicular groove (14 a). -
FIG. 13 andFIG. 14 illustrate other practical examples of present invention, and as shown in the drawings, in accordance to other practical examples of present invention, the exterior of body of grip (10) has the characteristics of laid in the shape memory alloy (40) that has a number of incision parts (41). - Above shape memory alloy (40) is used to make it easy to put on/take off to the shaft (S) of grip (G), if heat is added to the grip (G) during assembly, shape memory allow (40) is open to the exterior, i.e. the body of grip (10) is open to the exterior by the shape of allow (40) it is possible to insert body of grip (10) to the shaft (S), on the other hand, some time after the assembly when the temperature drops, the shape memory alloy is shrink to the original condition thus, it prevents the slipping of grip (G), and like this, the condition where the body of grip (10) is laid in the shape memory alloy (40), if the user grabs the grip (G), according to the palm and finger temperature, the shape memory alloy (40) forms to the shape of user's finger and remembers the shape of it, it further enhances fuzzy feeling of grip (G).
- Therefore, according to the grip of golf club of the present invention, above transparent layer (30) transmits all the ray of lights so that the print layer (20) inserted inside can display the advertisement contents clearly, also the print layer (20) is secured firmly between the body of grip (10) and the transparent layer (30), it can keep its original position without changing the position or without being damaged by any shock during the play.
- In addition, it is easy for golfers to have a golf elbow. The golf elbow is occurred when the golfer puts too much shock on the muscle and nerve of low part of elbow when they are in the position to swing so the said part feels pain. When playing golf, if the player hits a ball directly by stroke or hit the ground instead, it can damage the joint and nerve of elbow. This kind of injury can be quite fetal to the golfers as it requires a long time to heal and at the same time, it incurs a lot of expenses to cure. To prevent this from happening, the player has to choose the right golf club and fix the posture of swing so that it does not give unnecessary stress to the joint or muscle. When Golf elbow is difficult to cure and even it is cured, re-occurrence rate is more than 50%. Thus, it is ideal to use the golf club that is composed of a grip that absorbs the shock. Having the elastic function of transparent layer (30), when the user swings the club, it reduces the shock dramatically and thus, it prevents the chance of having a golf elbow.
- That is, the transparent layer (30) of grip (G) in accordance with the present invention is lower in the degree of hardness of rubber and high in solidity and maximum friction counts. If this is the case, when the user grabs the golf club, it gives the user an extra comfort. If the grab feeling is good it does not occur the twist when the user impacts on the ball thus it enhances the sense of direction of player. Also, the transparent layer (30) of the present invention which has a lower degree of hardness of rubber and high degree in solidity plays a role that reduces dramatically when the user swings the club.
- The above explanation is only showing a few examples of practical use and the extent to the use of present invention is not limited to this, but it can apply to the variety of types and applications.
- As shown in the above, the grip of golf club in accordance with the present invention is less susceptible to the sweat or external environment even it is used for a long time during play and it also has a function that prevents the damage or breakage of print layer with publicity prints such as pictures, diagram, letters and etc., thus it can be used effectively for the variety of events and publicity of company, also when the user grabs the golf club, it does not slip away easily even with the sweat thus, it is soft and has an excellent fuzzy feeling that enhances the sense of direction of player by preventing it from twisting, and it also reduces the shock to the user which in turn, reduces the chance of injury to the arm of user that will prevent users from having a injury such as a golf elbow, and above all, it is composed in a way that shaft can be easily assembled so that it is easy to use and it has an excellent publicity function at the same time.
