Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a waist and abdomen exercising fitness equipment, and more particularly to a fitness equipment designed for family members of different ages, physical abilities, and waist strengths, since exercisers may get injured easily while doing waist and abdomen exercises such as sit-up exercises. The present invention includes a support base set on a floor, a seat cushion disposed at the front end of the support base, a leg hooking rod disposed on the support base and under the seat cushion, a turnable backrest pivotally coupled to the support base and behind the seat cushion, a transversal rod is pivotally coupled under the backrest and disposed on the support stand, a vertical link bar fixed on both ends of the transversal rod, a roller installed at the link bar, a pushing rod disposed on both ends of the transversal rod for adjusting different widths and angles, a vertical track disposed on a backside of the backrest and at a -position corresponding to the roller, such that the roller can be moved back and forth along the track, and a weight carrying rod disposed at the top of the backrest for flexibly carrying a weight, and by flexibly adding or removing a weight on the weight carrying rod, an exerciser can sit on the seat cushion, lean his/her back against the backrest, and push the pushing rod with both hands to drive the transversal rod to turn and the roller at the end of the link bar to roll along the track, so as to push the backrest with the weights to elevate or lie down, and such back-and-forth exercises can achieve the effect of exercising the exerciser's chest, abdomen, and arms, and the weights can be adjusted flexibly to fit different people and the use for a long-time training.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Since people pay more attentions to their health nowadays, various different fitness equipments are introduced constantly, but the sit-up exercise is still performed without using an equipment, and factors such as age, physical strength, and obesity may cause injuries to an exerciser's back or waist. Even though there are fitness equipments to assist the sit-up exercise, yet the sit-up exercise is monotonous and unable to provide changes or adjustments for different trainings or physical strengths. After doing the same exercise for a long time, exercisers may find the sit-up exercise boring and no longer feel like dong the same exercise further, and thus improvements are needed.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the foregoing shortcomings, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related field to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally invented a waist and abdomen exercising fitness equipment.
  • Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a waist and abdomen exercising fitness equipment that includes a support base set on a floor, a seat cushion disposed at the front end of the support base, a leg hooking rod disposed on the support base and under the seat cushion, a turnable backrest pivotally coupled to the support base and behind the seat cushion, a transversal rod is pivotally coupled under the backrest and disposed on the support stand, a vertical link bar fixed on both ends of the transversal rod, a roller installed at the link bar, a pushing rod disposed on both ends of the transversal rod for adjusting different widths and angles, a vertical track disposed on a backside of the backrest and at a position corresponding to the roller, such that the roller can be moved back and forth along the track, and a weight carrying rod disposed at the top of the backrest for flexibly carrying a weight, and by flexibly adding or removing a weight on the weight carrying rod, an exerciser can sit on the seat cushion, lean his/her back against the backrest, and push the pushing rod with both hands to drive the transversal rod to turn and the roller at the end of the link bar to roll along the track, so as to push the backrest with the weights to elevate or lie down, and such back-and-forth exercises can achieve the effect of exercising the exerciser's chest, abdomen, and arms, and the weights can be adjusted flexibly to fit different people and the use for a long-time training.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a side view of a preferred embodiment of the invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a side view of another preferred embodiment of the invention; and
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic view of a backrest and a weight carrying rod according to a preferred embodiment of the invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • To make it easier for our examiner to understand the objective, shape, assembly, structure, characteristics and performance of the present invention, the following embodiments accompanied with the related drawings are described in details.
  • Referring to the figures, the present invention comprises a support base 1, a seat cushion 2, a backrest 3, and a pushing rod 4, wherein the support base 1 is a frame set on a floor, and the support base 1 could be an extendable and foldable structure; the seat cushion 2 is fixed at the front end of the support base 1 for providing a seat for an exerciser; a leg hooking rod 20 is disposed on the support base 1 and under the seat cushion 2 for hooking the exerciser's leg; the backrest 3 is turnable and pivotally coupled on the seat cushion 2 at the back of the support base 1; a transversal rod 10 is pivotally coupled to the support base I and under the backrest 3; a vertical link bar 11 is fixed to both ends of the transversal rod 10 and includes a roller 12 installed at the end of the link bar 11; a pushing rod 4 is disposed at both ends of the transversal rod 10 and capable of adjusting different widths and angles; a vertical track 30 is disposed at the backside of the backrest 3 and at a position corresponding to the roller 12, such that the roller 12 can be moved back and forth precisely along the track 30; a weight carrying rod 31 is fixed at the top of the backrest 3, so that a weight 32 such as a water bag and a sand bag can be added to the weight carrying rod 31 flexibly; and a support frame rod 13 is installed on the support base under the backrest 2 to restrict the link bar 11 and further to stop the backrest 3 from being inclined backward.
  • In practical applications, users can place the support base 1 on a floor, and adjust the weights 32 such as water bags and sand bags on the weight carrying rod 31 according to the exerciser's age and physical strength, so that different forces will be applied when the backrest 2 is turned. Further, the pushing rod 4 disposed on both ends of the transversal rod 10 can be adjusted into different angles, so as to change the angle of elevation of the backrest 3, so that when the exerciser sits on the seat cushion 2, the exerciser can lean his/her back against the backrest 2, and push the pushing rod 4 with both hands to drive the transversal rod 10 to turn, and thus the roller 12 at the edge of the link bar 11 can be moved along the track 30 on the backrest 3 to push the backrest 3 with the weights to elevate or lie down. The backrest 3 is restricted and stopped by the support stand rod 13. The back-and-forth exercise can provide exercises for the exerciser's chest, abdomen, arms, and other parts of the body. In the meantime, the weights 32 as well as the angle of the pushing rod 4 can be changed quickly and easily, so that the weight and rotating extent of the backrest 3 can be changed to fit different exercisers and the use for a long-time training.
  • The structure of the invention herein enhances the performance and overcomes the shortcoming of the prior art, and further complies with the patent application requirements.
  • While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.
