Abstract

Present invention relates to a head garment that covers scalp that allows user to pull portions of hair through stretch holes comprised within the body of the garment. In doing so, user is able to achieve the effects of a “ponytail(s)” that project from the head through the holes within garment. Another option present invention offers the user is the ability to pull hair through a top hole comprised within garment.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to a tightly fitted head garment that comprises of stretchable hair opening(s) that releases a portion of the hair (pulled through opening) while covering surround hair, thus achieving the effect of a “ponytail.”

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

There has always been a need by women to cover their hair and scalp. One of the common issues when doing so is correctly covering the bulkiness of long hair. Bundling long hair under a cap or hat has always been problematic for various reasons.
One reason is that most head garments cannot accommodate long, thick hair and simultaneously maintain it's proper form, which gives the wearer an unattractive appearance.
Another reason is that when the hair is placed under a hat or cap it is smashed and crushed. Therefore, the wearer often continues to wear the head covering when in public because removing it would expose a disheveled appearance. The head covering is later removed when the wearer will access to a mirror.
The present invention addresses this issue by allowing for a portion of the hair, to be pulled through a portion of the head garment, thereby, in effect, creating a “ponytail.”
This allows wearer to cover head, attractively expose hair and allows wearer to remove garment with confidence that their style will have a well maintained appearance. By exposing a portion of hair in this manner also serves as a fashionable article for the user's wardrobe. An excellent example of this fact can be exploited during skiing, ice skating or any sport performed in cold weather. The wearer of the present invention will have the ability to keep their head and ears warm, while attractively exposing their hair in a “ponytail” fashion.

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART

The current market in head coverings is vast. One of the most commonly used head garments is the “ski” cap. The ski cap can be worn by women an men and is highly effect in keeping the head warm and is easy to use.
Ski caps are made in various materials, however they are made to maintain hair, nor do they accommodate long hair. Long hair must either be bundled under cap or be exposed under the cap as the cap slips over the head.
A patent search for prior art was conducted on current invention, none was found.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

One objective of current invention is to cover entire head while precisely releasing hair through an opening(s), thereby achieving the effect of a “ponytail(s)”.
Yet another object to current invention is the creation of a head covering for head and ears while simultaneously forming a “ponytail” for persons with long hair. Whereby, individuals who perform or work in the cold environments can stay warm without having to sacrifice or hide their hair by bundling it under a cap. This manner of covering the head will also serve individuals who want to cover the head while between hair dos, but can expose a portion of the hair that is presentable.
An advantage of present invention provides an head garment that can be anchored onto head by the release of hair through an opening or openings within garment, thereby creating a “stay-put positioning” effect. Whereby, a person engaged in physical activity can maintain the position of head garment.
Yet another objective to present invention is to allow user to elevate hair that is released through opening(s) by placing it underneath an attached tuck band after it has been pulled through provided opening.
Yet another advantage to current invention is to provide a head garment before, during and after physical activity whereby the present invention conforms to the heard, breaths and allows the wearer to always be presentable and show their hair. Whereby the user can wear present invention while jogging, in the sauna and can keep garment on until ready to shower.
Another objective to current invention provides a head garment that allows the user to pull hair through a hole located at the top of the head garment, whereby the head garment comprises of multiple layers of material shapes that conform to the respect part of the head it covers.
These and other features and objects of the present invention will be more fully understood from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments which should be read in light of the accompanying drawings.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to the drawings, in general, and FIGS. 1-10 in particular, the method and apparatus of present invention is disclosed.
In describing a preferred embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawings, specific terminology will be used for the sake of clarity. However, the invention is not intended to be limited to the specific terms so selected, and it is to be understood that each specific tern includes all technical equivalents s which operate in similar manner to accomplish a similar purpose.
Referring now to drawings, FIG. 1 shows a side view of a person wearing present invention. This illustrates a basic use of present invention whereby entire head is covered with accessible hair pulled through opening 8.
User may also use present invention as shown in FIG. 2, whereby in addition to pulling hair through back opening, user may also elevate same pulled through hair by placing it under tuck band 5.
FIG. 3 of present invention is a frontal view, wherein all components of invention are connected. Visible components in this illustration 4 include a stretchable front panel 14 and a head band 26.
Referring now to FIG. 4, the rear view of present invention is shown will all components connected. The back panel 6 comprises of a stretchable opening 8. This opening further comprises of a stretch band (FIG. 10) that allows the opening to further expand when necessary or in use. When this opening is in a resting state, fabric gathers are created. Also shown is a tuck band 7 that is connected within the same seam 3 that connects front and back 4,6 panels. The head band 26 and it's connection seam 5, 24 is also visible from the back.
FIG. 5 is a frontal view of stretchable un-connected, panel material used to create present invention. This view 16 also shows the initial stages of the front panel.
FIG. 6 shows a view of a properly cut back panel to present invention, wherein the tuck band and head band have not been connected. The cut out 13 for the back opening that allows hair to be pulled through is visible.
Referring now to FIG. 7, front and back panel edges 10, 14 are attached in seam 18. This back view of the body unit 21 also shows a tuck band 6 and a cut out opening 13.
FIG. 8 is an un-attached tuck band, whereby the ends 20 a, 20 b are attached within the main seam 18.
FIG. 9 shows a stretch band that is attached to opening cut out 13, thereby allowing the cut out edges 1 3 reinforcement and increased flexibility 8.
FIG. 10 shows an unattached head band. The head band 25 ends are connected at the ends 22 a, 22 b.
Now referring to FIG. 11, a connected, stretchable head band 26 is shown, whereby the ends create a seam 24. After seam is created in head band, the head band is connected to body of garment as formed in (FIG. 7). Elastic reinforcement 23 to the cut out 13 can be attached before or after head band 26 is connected to the body 21.
FIG. 12 further shows present invention in a format that displays multiple holes, whereby user can achieve multiple “ponytails.”
FIG. 13 represents a single top opening version to present invention, whereby user is able to release all hair from the top of their head while covering all other regions of head and scalp. This version of present invention does not comprise of a tuck band.
Although the present invention has been described above with reference to preferred embodiments thereof, many variations, modifications and adaptations thereof, will become apparent to those skilled in the art which embody the concepts disclosed by the present invention. Accordingly, all such variations, adaptations, etc. are deemed to be part of the invention which is further defined by the claims recited below.

Claims

1. A head garment that comprises of at least one opening on one panel of material that gathers a portion of hair, whereby user is allowed to pull hair through the opening thereby creating the effect of a “ponytail”; A head garment in claim 1 that comprises of an attach tuck band, whereby user is allowed to pull hair through the opening then placed the same hair under a tuck band; A head garment in claim 2 that comprises of additional openings on same panel, whereby user can pull hair through multiple openings for an effect of multiple “ponytails” protruding from same head garment; A head garment that comprises of a open top portion, whereby user is allowed to pull hair through the top opening; A head garment in claim 3 that comprises of multiple shaped material that creates a symmetrical fit that conforms to the head, whereby the head garment will comprise of attached panels, wherein each panel is designed to focus on particular head region.
