Abstract

The invention relates to a handle of an automatic umbrella, which includes a sleeve provided over the handle slidably. The handle has a control button, which can be hidden for avoiding from accidental contact. The handle is especially suitable for an automatic umbrella, which is manually opened. When the umbrella is opened manually, the button is then exposed for a next automatic closing of the umbrella. This is therefore utilized.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • A traditional automatic umbrella has a button formed on a handle to control the umbrella being closed automatically. The button is always exposed directly. In use of this known umbrella, people usually contact the button accidentally that causes the umbrella to be closed out of one's mind. It is a big problem all the time.
  • Accordingly, in order to overcome the drawback of prior arts, the present invention provides a secure handle, which includes a sleeve covering the main body of the handle and is especially suitable for an automatic-closed umbrella. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a handle of an automatic umbrella according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing another sight of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a partly cross-sectional plan view showing the handle connected with an automatic umbrella according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is a plan view showing the handle exposing its button for controlling an automatic closing of the umbrella.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention includes a handle (1) and a sleeve (3), wherein the handle (1) is connected with lower end of a shaft (2) of an umbrella, especially an automatic-closed umbrella. The handle (1) has a side button (11) and a lower groove (12) for receiving a positioning ball (13) and a small spring (14). Another side of the handle (1) is formed a slot (15). The sleeve (3) provided outside the handle (1) has two side apertures (31) for positioning the ball (13). A hole (32) formed on another side of the sleeve (3) connects with a bolt (33), which has its inner end being received in the slot (15) of the handle (1).
  • Referring to FIG. 3, when the umbrella is closed, the handle (1) is totally covered by the sleeve (3) while the ball (13) is positioned on lower aperture (31) of the sleeve (3) to become a stable engagement. At this time, the button (11) will never be touched in accident and the drawback is solved. When user opens the umbrella manually, the sleeve (3) will slide down relating to the handle (1) under nature operation, that is one hand up and one hand down. At this opened state of the umbrella, the button (11) is then exposed while the ball (13) is positioned on upper aperture (31) stably, as shown in FIG. 4. The sleeve (3) will not leave from the handle (1) because the bolt (33) is limited in the slot (15). Hence, the exposed button (15) is ready for user to press for an automatic closing of the umbrella.
  • Above all, the present invention obtains an improved effect for user applying the umbrella that matches a nature operation. It means the present invention will be especially applied on an umbrella, which is manually opened and the button is exposed only when the umbrella is opened. The button is always hidden when the umbrella is closed. Under this character, it is to be found that the present is also suitable for a full-automatic umbrella, whose shaft must be stretched before use. By the operation of stretching the shaft, the sleeve slides down relating to the handle and then the button will be exposed for controlling the umbrella to be opened and closed. Such application is also included in the present invention.
