Abstract
A beaded-chain control device for window blinds comprises a positioning seat with an assembling cavity defining one side therein for the accommodation of a cord-winding unit equipped with a two-way rotary cylinder thereon wherein the two-way rotary cylinder is driven by a beaded-chain to rotate in clockwise or counterclockwise direction thereby, and the assembling cavity thereof has a passage cut at both lateral sides thereon respectively. The cord-winding unit also has a smaller-diameter winding-shaft protruding at the other end of the two-way rotary cylinder to precisely align with the passages thereof so that an actuating cord can pass through the passage to attach onto the winding-shaft and synchronically actuate each pull cord linked thereto to collect or expand a blind body thereby, permitting smoother operation and reducing the assembly parts to cut the cost of production and achieve economical efficiency thereby.
Description
- The present invention relates to a beaded-chain control device for window blinds, comprising a positioning seat and a cord-winding unit wherein the position seat has an assembling cavity with a set of passages symmetrically defining both lateral sides thereon and precisely aligned with a winding-shaft protruding at one end of a two-way rotary cylinder of the cord-winding unit so that an actuating cord can pass through the passages to attach onto the winding shaft and synchronically actuate each pull cord of the window blind linked thereto, permitting smoother operation and reducing the assembly parts to achieve economical efficiency thereby.
- Please refer to
FIG. 1 . A conventional beaded-chain window blind 10 includes a linking rod 11 synchronically rotated by a beaded-chain operated seat 12. The linking rod 11 has a plurality ofcord winders 13 attached thereto, and eachcord winder 13 has apull cord 14 attached thereto. Thepull cord 14 is guided to extend through ablind body 15 and fixed to abottom rail 16 at the other end thereof. Therefore, depending on the revolving direction of the beaded-chain operated seat 12, thecord winders 13 are synchronically rotated along with the linking rod 11 actuated by the beaded-chain operated seat 12 so as to coil up or release thepull cords 14 therewith accordingly. - There are some drawbacks to such conventional beaded-chain window blind. First, depending on the number and position of the
pull cords 14, the beaded-chain operated seat 12 must havemultiple cord winders 13 mounted onto the linking rod 11 to match to thepull cords 14 each attached to onecord winder 13 respectively. Thus, the conventional beaded-chain window blind is not only complicated in its assembling parts, but also inconveniently time-consuming in the assembly thereof, which may boost the cost of production in an uneconomical way. Second, eachpull cord 14 is individually wound onto one cord-winder 13. In case one of thepull cords 14 wound onto thecord winders 13 gets entangled in operation, the beaded-chain operated seat 12 will become jammed in an immovable situation and must be repeatedly pulled to return to the normal state, which can cause inconvenience in application thereof. - It is, therefore, the primary purpose of the present invention to provide a beaded-chain control device for window blinds, comprising a positioning seat and a cord-winding unit wherein the position seat has an assembling cavity with a set of passages symmetrically defining both lateral sides thereon and precisely aligned with a winding-shaft protruding at one end of a two-way rotary cylinder of the cord-winding unit so that an actuating cord can pass through the passages to attach onto the winding-shaft and synchronically actuate each pull cord of the window blind linked thereto, permitting smoother operation without getting entangled or jammed as found in the above-mentioned conventional multiple cord-winders as well as reducing the assembly parts to facilitate easier and speedier assembly and cut the cost of production in an economical way.

FIG. 2 showing an exploded perspective view of the present invention. The present invention relates to a beaded-chain control device for window blinds, comprising apositioning seat 20 and a cord-winding unit 30 wherein thepositioning seat 20 has an assemblingcavity 21 defining the interior therein, asupport block 22 withscrew holes 221 protruding at one side of the opening edge of theassembly cavity 21, a smaller-diameter pivoting hole 23 cut at the bottom end surface, and a set ofrectangular passages 24 symmetrically defining both lateral side surfaces thereon. The cord-winding unit 30 has astop plate 31 withlocking holes 311 disposed thereon extending at one side thereof, and apivoting shaft 32 protruding at the other side wherein arotary sleeve 321 with linkingteeth 3211 defining thereon, and apositioning spring 322 withabutting legs 3221 protruding thereon are respectively coupled with thepivoting shaft 32 thereof. A two-wayrotary cylinder 33 is provided with a restrictingblock 331 extending at the interior thereon to match to theabutting legs 3221 thereof, and is actuated to rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the revolving direction of therotary sleeve 321 thereof. The linkingteeth 3211 of therotary sleeve 321 are driven by a beaded-chain 34 to actuate the rotation of the two-wayrotary cylinder 33 thereby. The other end of the two-wayrotary cylinder 33 has a smaller-diameter winding-shaft 333 with a set ofstop rings 332 extending at both sides thereon wherein thestop rings 332 are shaped larger than the outer diameter of the two-wayrotary cylinder 33, and a pivotingaxle 334 is provided extending outwards from thestop ring 332 situated at the outer side to fit to thepivoting hole 23 thereby. - Please refer to
FIG. 3 showing an assembled perspective view of the present invention. In assembly, the two-wayrotary cylinder 33 of the cord-winding unit 30 is pivotally adapted into the assemblingcavity 21 of thepositioning seat 20 till theouter stop ring 332 abuts against the bottom surface of the assemblingcavity 21 and locates at one side of thepassages 24, permitting the pivotingaxle 334 to pivotally join to thepivoting hole 23 thereby. Meanwhile, thelocking holes 311 of thestop plate 31 and thescrew holes 221 of thesupport block 22 are reciprocally matched and secured to each other, and theother stop ring 332 situated at the inner side thereof is allowed to locate at the other side of thepassages 24, permitting the winding-shaft 333 to precisely align with thepassages 24 so that an actuating cord A as shown inFIG. 4 can pass through thepassage 24 to attach onto the winding-shaft 333 thereby. And more than two pull cords B as shown inFIG. 5 can be synchronically fixed to the other end of the actuating cord A at one end thereof. - In application, the beaded-
chain 34 of the cord-winding unit 30 is effortlessly drawn to actuate the two-wayrotary cylinder 33 rotating inside the assemblingcavity 21 and actuating the synchronic movement of the winding-shaft 333 at the same time as shown inFIG. 6 . Then, depending on the revolving direction of the winding-shaft 333, the actuating cord A will be coiled up or released accordingly, and each pull cord B linked to the actuating cord A will be synchronically drawn to collect or expand a blind body thereby in an easy manner without getting entangled and jammed as found in the above-mentioned conventional multiple cord-winders thereof, facilitating smoother operation as well as reducing the assembly parts to cut the cost of production and achieve economical efficiency thereby.
Claims (5)
1. A beaded-chain control device for window blinds, comprising a positioning seat with an assembling cavity defining the interior of one side for the accommodation of a cord-winding unit equipped with a two-way rotary cylinder thereon wherein the two-way rotary cylinder is driven by a beaded-chain to rotate in clockwise or counterclockwise direction thereby; the present invention being characterized by that,
the assembling cavity of the positioning seat having a passage cut at both lateral sides thereon respectively, and the cord-winding unit having a smaller-diameter winding-shaft protruding at the other end of the two-way rotary cylinder to precisely align with the passages thereof so that an actuating cord can be guided through the passages to attach onto the winding-shaft and synchronically actuated to coil up or release according to the revolving direction of the winding-shaft thereby.
2. The beaded-chain control device for window blinds as claimed in claim 1 wherein the actuating cord can have more than two pull cords synchronically attached thereto at one end thereof.
3. The beaded-chain control device for window blinds as claimed in claim 1 wherein both sides of the winding-shaft are defined by a set of stop rings that, each shaped larger than the outer diameter of the two-way rotary cylinder, are precisely situated at both sides of the passages thereof.
4. The beaded-chain control device for window blinds as claimed in claim 3 wherein the winding-shaft has a pivoting axle extending outwards from the stop ring situated at the outer side thereof.
5. The beaded-chain control device for window blinds as claimed in claim 1 wherein the passage of the positioning seat can be made in a rectangular-shaped configuration.
