Abstract
The invention relates to satisfying the life necessity of a human being, in particular to jewellery pieces and other ornaments which are carried on a body and fixed by piercing. The inventive jewellery piece comprises an ornate element, a piercing pin provided with an end-head and a hinged joint for connecting the pin to the ornate element and male an female links, wherein the male link is mounted on the ornate element, the female link is mounted on the piercing pin and is embodied on the section mating therewith in such a way that the external surface thereof is convex and has a curved external shape whose size is greater than the size of the cross section of the piercing pin. Said invention increases the safety of use of jewellery pieces.
Description
- This application is a Continuation of PCT application serial number PCT/RU2005/000053 filed on Feb. 10, 2005, which in turn claims priority to RU2004110365 filed Apr. 6, 2004, both of which are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety.
- The invention relates to the field of satisfying human needs of life, in particular, to jewellery pieces and other ornaments for wearing on the body with fixing by piercing.
- A jewellery piece is known containing a decorative element, a piercing pin with removable end head and connection of the piercing pin with the decorative element (JP No. 2001299414,
A44C 7/00, 2001). - A disadvantage of the known jewellery piece is limited use only on body portions that are not subject to movement and active deformation, in particular, for decoration of ears. This disadvantage is conditioned by rigid connection of the piercing pin with the decorative element.
- A more perfect and the closest analogue to the claimed jewellery piece is a jewellery piece containing a decorative element, a piercing pin with a removable end head and a hinged joint of the piercing pin with the decorative element having an male link and a female link (GB No. 2381183 A44C 15/00, 2003).
- The above jewellery piece, while ensuring freedom of active movement of the corresponding body portion due to moveable joint of the piercing pin with the decorative element, allows it to be fixed to different body portions, for example, to eyebrows or stomach. However, in virtue of design peculiarities of the hinged joint of the piercing pin with the decorative element, its use entails possible damage of the skin the area of piercing as a result of pinching between the surfaces of the male link and the female link.
- The technical result, which can be attained when implementing the invention, consists in enhanced safety of using the jewellery piece.
- The above technical result is achieved by a jewellery piece containing a decorative element, a piercing pin with removable end head and a hinged joint of the piercing pin with the decorative element having a male link and a female link due to the fact that the male link is mounted on the decorative element, while the female link is mounted on the piercing pin, wherein the female link in the section of mating with the piercing pin is made with the external surface of convex shape with a curvilinear outline having the overall dimensions greater than the overall dimensions of the cross-section of the piercing pin.
- As well as due to the fact that the female link is provided with a recess having the overall dimensions less than the overall dimensions of the curvilinear outline of the external surface.
- The essence of the claimed invention is explained by the drawings wherein
-
FIG. 1 gives the representation of the general view of the jewellery piece, -
FIG. 2 gives the A-A section, and -
FIG. 3 andFIG. 4 give variants of hinged joint. - The jewellery piece comprises
decorative element 1 connected topiercing pin 2 and to removable end head 3 (e.g., by a thread). The linkage between thedecorative element 1 and thepiercing pin 2 is provided in the form of a hinged joint formed by themale link 4 mounted on thedecorative element 1 and thefemale link 5 mounted on thepiercing pin 2 associated with themale link 4, for example, withaxle 6 orprotrusions 7 fixing the ears on the conjugated surfaces. Thefemale link 5 in section mating with thepiercing pin 2 is provided with the external surface of convex shape and with acurvilinear outline 8, having the overall dimensions (e.g., “D”) greater than the overall dimensions (e.g., “d”) of the cross-section of thepiercing pin 2, and may be provided with arecess 9 having overall dimensions (e.g., “h” and “b”) less than overall dimensions of the curvilinear outline of the external surface (e.g., “H” and “D”, respectively). - Preventing the injury is ensured by position of the skin portion in the piercing area between the
removable head 3 and the external surface of the convex shape with thecurvilinear outline 6 and by the impossibility of displacement of the above skin portion to the hinged joint area, wherein comfortable conditions of contacting the jewellery piece with the skin are predetermined by the shape and sizes of thefemale link 5 and mobility required for this, by the sizes ofrecess 9 that are less that the overall dimensions of the curvilinear outline of the external surface.
Claims (2)
1. A jewellery piece comprising a decorative element, a piercing pin with a removable end head and a hinged joint of the piercing pin with the decorative element having a male link and a female link, characterized in that the male link is mounted on the decorative element and the female link is mounted on the piercing pin, wherein the female link section mating with the piercing pin is provided with an external surface of convex shape and with a curvilinear outline having the overall dimensions greater that the overall dimensions of the piercing pin.
2. The jewellery piece according to claim 1 , characterized in that the female link is provided with a recess having the overall dimensions less that the overall dimensions of the curvilinear outline of the external surface.
