A unique unit of washable antibacterial net that will surround a baby crib and playpen to catch toys or other articles thrown by babies while in their cribs or playpens. This unit is designed to alleviate the task of bending over to pick-up toys and other objects thrown by babies while in their cribs or playpens. It will be a portable and compact unit for easy carry. There will be four individual units each having adjustable brackets on either side, so it can be easily attached or removed from the crib and playpen. It can also be easily removed so that it can be washed and dried.

Description

  • The Toy Catcher is a new invention that relates to an antibacterial washable catch net that attaches and detaches to children's playpens and cribs.
  • The object of this invention is to provide a net that extends around the four corners of the play pen or crib individually, so that if the play pen or crib are placed against a wall in the room where they might be assembled only the open areas of the playpen or crib might use The Toy Catcher to catch articles that babies throw, such as toys, baby bottles, baby shoes, or any other article they might not want to play with at the time or just feel like throwing them out, as babies often like to do. The net FIG. (1) from The Toy Catcher will prevent these articles from hitting the floor and possibly breaking and will also alleviate the job of the mother, father or caretaker of bending over to retrieve the articles. All four sides of The Toy Catcher may be used at the same time if desired or needed. There will be elastic sewn into the netting side that runs along the playpen keeping it taut along that side FIG. (3)-#6.
  • In many instances, toys that fall to the ground must be washed or cleansed with alcohol to disinfect them; The Toy Catcher will avoid this task. Another feature of this invention is the easy and simple folding convenience so the consumer may take it with them anywhere. It will be a portable and compact unit for easy and light carry and storage as well.
  • In the following description we will show features of construction and assembly. We will reference the drawings and illustrate this novel invention.
  • FIG. (1) is a view of a playpen showing the invention. The Toy Catcher will consist of four individual catch nets # 1. Two of the catch nets will extend the size of the longer side of the playpen or crib and the other two catch nets will extend to the size of the foot and headboard of the crib and playpen. The catch nets will be held together at the corners by fabric ties FIG. (3). Actual size of the usual playpen is 40′″×32″×32.5″. The netting will extend 15″ from the side of the playpen and will drop 16″ down from the side rails. In most cases the measurements of the crib are 55′ wide×31′ deep×45″ high.
  • Another novel feature of The Toy Catcher is that of an elastic band FIG. (2) running through a ½ inch plastic tube holding the tubes together creating a semi-circle extending from each corner of the crib or playpen and allowing the tubes to be flexible and adjustable so mom, dad or the caretaker may have easy access to the child within the crib or playpen. The tubes will be attached to the playpen or crib by plastic clamps FIG. (1) #3.
