Definitions
- This invention is to be used by those that paint, such as a painting contractor or home owner.
- the purpose of the invention is to prevent paint from drying on the brush or roller or any tool used for painting as described within, when it will not be used for a period of time in which paint would typically dry out, such as during an extended break. This eliminates the need to wash out the tool.
- Prior art does not exist that uses a plastic bag for this purpose, though a firm plastic pre-formed hinged container is available for paint roller covers only. However, the hinged container is more costly to use and would require washing to use it over and over.
- the Take-a-break bag could be used more than once if desired, or discarded after each use.
- This method of use invention consists of a sealable plastic bag sized and shaped for its intended use, for the purpose of preventing paint from drying on a paint roller cover, paint brush, or other paint tools during a break or overnight.
- the purpose of the cover is to eliminate the need to wash the paint off of the tool when painting of the same color will resume after a break or the next day.
- This method of use invention consists of a typical clear plastic bag used to cover a paint roller, paint brush, paint pad, paint tray or any other tool to apply paint (herein referred to as “tool”) that has paint on it.
- This bag would be sized to fit easily over either tool.
- the bag would have an integral adhesive strip or zipper style closure along the entire opening used to seal the tool inside the bag.
- the sealed bag prevents the paint from drying out during a break in the painting process such as a lunch break or when painting of the same color will resume the next day. The need to wash out the tool in these situations is eliminated, saving time and mess.

Abstract
This invention is a new method of use for a plastic bag. The bag is used to cover a paint laden paint brush, paint roller cover, paint pad, or other paint application tool, to keep it from drying out during a short break or overnight, eliminating the need to wash out the tool until completion. The appropriately sized clear plastic bag has an integral adhesive strip or zipper style closure at its opening used to seal the bag closed. The bag is removed when painting resumes and either used again later that same day or discarded.

- This invention is to be used by those that paint, such as a painting contractor or home owner. The purpose of the invention is to prevent paint from drying on the brush or roller or any tool used for painting as described within, when it will not be used for a period of time in which paint would typically dry out, such as during an extended break. This eliminates the need to wash out the tool. Prior art does not exist that uses a plastic bag for this purpose, though a firm plastic pre-formed hinged container is available for paint roller covers only. However, the hinged container is more costly to use and would require washing to use it over and over. The Take-a-break bag could be used more than once if desired, or discarded after each use.
- This method of use invention consists of a sealable plastic bag sized and shaped for its intended use, for the purpose of preventing paint from drying on a paint roller cover, paint brush, or other paint tools during a break or overnight. The purpose of the cover is to eliminate the need to wash the paint off of the tool when painting of the same color will resume after a break or the next day.
- A drawing is not included in this application since it will not help in the understanding of the subject matter sought to be patented due to the fact it can be easily described and understood by the descriptions within.
- This method of use invention consists of a typical clear plastic bag used to cover a paint roller, paint brush, paint pad, paint tray or any other tool to apply paint (herein referred to as “tool”) that has paint on it. This bag would be sized to fit easily over either tool. The bag would have an integral adhesive strip or zipper style closure along the entire opening used to seal the tool inside the bag. The sealed bag prevents the paint from drying out during a break in the painting process such as a lunch break or when painting of the same color will resume the next day. The need to wash out the tool in these situations is eliminated, saving time and mess. The bag is best manufactured in a flexible clear plastic and sized according to the tool that is placed in it. The bags would be available in sets that have several different sizes.
Claims (1)
