Abstract
An upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind includes a horizontal rod and a slide rail. The horizontal rod is formed axially with at least two rod portions, and the slide rail is axially formed with at least two slide rail portions. The rod portions can be connected together to make up the horizontal rod and the slide rail portions can be connected together to make up the slide rail. The rod portions and the slide rail portions are separable or collapsible before they are assembled, able to be packed with less space to save cost in packing, storing and transporting.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind, particularly to one having a horizontal rod made of plural rod portions and a slide rail made of plural slide rail portions. The rod portions and the slide rail portions are respectively separated or collapse before they are assembled, saving space and cost in packing, storing and transporting.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- A conventional upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind, as shown in
FIG. 1 , includes ahorizontal rod 11 provided inside with aslide rail 12 fitted thereon withplural slide blocks 13 respectively for connecting ascreen 14. Further, thehorizontal rod 11 has one end provided with acontrol cord 15 and acontrol rod 16 so that theslide blocks 13 can be controlled by thecontrol cord 15 to slide horizontally on theslide rail 12 and actuate thescreens 14 to collapse or expand, and theslide rail 12 can be controlled by thecontrol rod 16 to turn properly and deflect thescreens 14 at an proper angle. - However, the
horizontal rod 11 and theinner slide rail 12 of the conventionalupper frame 10 for a vertical Venetian blind are pretty long, necessary to take much space and cost a lot in packing, storing and transporting. - The objective of this invention is to offer an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind, which has a horizontal rod and a slide rail respectively formed axially with at least two rod portions and two slide rail portions. The can be connected together to make up the horizontal rod, and the slide rail portions can be connected together to make up the slide rail.
- Before assembled, the rod portions and the slide rail portions of the upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention are separable or collapsible, able to be packed with less space to lower cost in packing, storing and transporting and having practical value in industry.

upper frame 20 for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown inFIG. 2 , includes ahorizontal rod 30 of an inverted U-shape and aslide rail 40 as main components combined together. Theslide rail 40 is positioned inside thehorizontal rod 30 and provided thereon withplural slide blocks 50 preset in number respectively for connecting ascreen 60. Thehorizontal rod 30 is provided with acontrol cord 70 and acontrol rod 80 at one end for respectively controlling thescreens 60 to be expand, collapse or deflect. - The
horizontal rod 30, as shown inFIGS. 3 and 4 , consists axially of tworod portions 31. One of the tworod portions 31 has one of two connecting ends formed with twoinsert grooves 311, while the other of the tworod portions 31 has one of two connecting ends formed with twoprojections 312 matching with the twoinsert grooves 311. The tworod portions 31 can easily be connected together to make up thehorizontal rod 30 by mutual engagement of the twoinset grooves 311 and the twoprojections 312. - The
slide rail 40, as shown inFIGS. 3 and 4 , is axially formed with twoslide rail portions 41. One of the twoslide rail portions 41 has its connecting end formed with aprojection 411, while the otherslide rail portion 41 has its connecting end formed with aninsert hole 412. The twoslide rail portions 41 can easily be connected together to make up theslide rail 40 by mutual engagement of theprojection 411 and theinsert hole 412. - A second preferred embodiment of an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown in
FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, is to have the tworod portions 31 connected together by ahinge 32 and alocking member 33. Thehinge 32 is fixed at one side of the abutting connecting ends and thelocking member 33 fixed at the other side of the abutting connecting ends of the tworod portions 31. In assembling, the two collapsedrod portions 31 are pivotally turned and positioned in alignment and then fixedly connected together by thelocking member 33. In this preferred embodiment, the twoslide rail portions 41 are connected together by a connectingrod 42 with a diameter smaller than that of the 41. The twosectional slide rails 41 are respectively bored with ahole 413 at the end facing the connectingrod 42 for the opposite ends of the connectingrod 42 to be respectively inserted therein so as to connect the tworod portions 41 together. - A third preferred embodiment of an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown in
FIGS. 8, 9 and 10, is to have the tworod portions 31 of an inverted U-shape connected together by an outer connectingmember 34 of an inverted U-shape and an inner connectingmember 35 of nearly the same inverted U-shape. The outer connectingmember 34 has its upper inner side provided with twoengage blocks 341 spaced apart horizontally and twoelastic fitting projections 342 spaced apart vertically. The tworod portions 31 have their upper abutting sides respectively bored with anengage groove 313 aligned to each other horizontally and their jointing portions bored with anotch 314. Thus, the two engageblocks 341 on the upper inner side of the outer connectingmember 34 can be respectively engaged in the twoengage grooves 313 of the tworod portions 31, and the twoelastic fitting projections 342 of the outer connectingmember 34 can be positioned in thenotch 314 of the tworod portions 31. The inner connectingmember 35 has its outer side bored with twoengage grooves 351 spaced apart vertically to respectively engage with the twoelastic fitting projections 342 of the outer connectingmember 34 when the inner connectingmember 35 is closely positioned on the inner sides of the tworod portions 31, which are then fixedly sandwiched by the outer and the inner connectingmember - The
slide rail portions 41 in the third preferred embodiment are connected by anuncovered connecting rod 43, which has its intermediate part formed with a connectingsection 431 having the same cross-sectional figuration and size as those of the twoslide rail portions 41. The connectingsection 431 of the connectingrod 43 has its opposite ends respectively extending horizontally and forming pluralcross-shaped insert ribs 432, and the twoslide rail portions 41 are respectively bored with across-shaped insert groove 414 at one end corresponding to the opposite ends of the connectingrod 43. Thus, theinsert ribs 432 at two ends of the connectingrod 43 can be respectively inserted in theinsert grooves 414 at the opposite ends of the twoslide rail portions 41, letting two ends of the connectingsection 431 of the connectingrod 43 push against the opposite ends of the twoslide rail portions 41 and thus connecting the twoslide rail portions 41 together. - As can be understood from the above description, the
horizontal rod 30 and theslide rail 40 of theupper frame 20 for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention are respectively composed ofplural rod portions 31 and pluralslide rail portions 41, which are respectively separable or collapsible. Before assembled, therod portions 31 and theslide rail portions 41 are respectively in a separated or collapsible condition, able to be packed with less space to save cost in packing, storing and transporting. - While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (7)
1. An upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind comprising a horizontal rod, said horizontal rod provided with a slide rail in the interior, said slide rail fitted thereon with a plurality of slide blocks preset in number, said slide blocks actuated to slide horizontally on said slide rail by a control cord provided at one end of said horizontal rod:
Said horizontal rod formed axially with at least two rod portions, said rod portions able to be connected with each other to make up said horizontal rod: and
Said slide rail formed axially with at least two slide rail portions, said slide rail portions able to be connected with each other to make up said slide rail.
2. The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said rod portions are connected together by means of an outer connecting member and an inner connecting member, said outer connecting member having its upper inner side provided with plural engage blocks and elastic fitting projections, said rod portions having their a butting ends respectively bored with an engage groove, said rod portions having their upper jointing portions bored with a notch, said engage blocks on the inner sides of said outer connecting member respectively engaged with said two engage grooves of said two rod portions, said two elastic fitting projections of said outer connecting member positioned in said notch of said two rod portions, said inner connecting member having its outer side bored with two engage grooves, said elastic fitting projections of said outer connecting member respectively engaged with said engage grooves of said inner connecting member when said inner connecting member closely positioned on the inner sides of said two rod portions, said two rod portions fixedly sandwiched by said outer and said inner connecting member and connected together.

The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein one of said two rod portions has its connecting end formed with two insert grooves, and the other of said rod portions has its connecting end formed with two projections to be engaged with said two insert grooves so as to connect said two rod portions.

The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said two rod portions are connected together by a hinge and a locking member, said hinge secured at the abutting ends of one side of said two rod portions, said locking member secured at the abutting ends of the other side of said two rod portions.

The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said two slide rail portions are connected together by a connecting rod, said connecting rod having its intermediate part formed with a connecting section, said connecting section having the same cross-sectional figuration and size as those of said slide rail, said connecting section having its opposite ends respectively extending horizontally and forming insert ribs preset in number, said two slide rail portions bored with insert grooves preset in number at the location corresponding to said connecting rod, said connecting rod having said insert ribs at the opposite ends respectively inserted in said insert grooves of said slide rail portions so as to let the opposite ends of said connect section of said connecting rod push against the opposite ends of said two slide rail portions.

The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein one of said two slide rail portion has its end formed with a projection, and the other one has its end formed with a hole matching with said projection, said projection and said insert hole engaged with each other to connect said slide rail portions together.

The upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said slide rail portions are connected together by a connecting rod, said connecting rod having a smaller diameter than said slide rail, said slide rail portions respectively bored with a hole at a location corresponding to said connecting rod, said connecting rod having two ends respectively inserted in said two holes at the opposite ends of said two slide rail portions.
