Abstract
A pull cord structure of Roman blinds includes an upper beam of a Roman blind having a pull cord fixing seat mounted at both lateral sides therein respectively for locating a first pull cord and a second pull cord thereby, and a transparent blind body attached at the underside thereof wherein a plurality of blind pieces, each of an identical width and proper length and having a tubular tunnel disposed at the bottom edge thereon for the location of two counterweight bars therein, are equidistantly sewed to the front side of the transparent blind body from top to bottom thereof, and at mutual seaming joints thereof are respectively provided with symmetrical retaining lugs with hoops attached thereto for the first pull cord to be sequentially led there-through till fixed to the bottommost hoops thereof. At the rear middle section of the tubular tunnel of each blind piece is disposed a pulling lug for a linking rope branched from the second pull cord to be securely attached thereto. Thus, in addition to the first pull cord applied to fold or unfold the Roman blind thereby, the second pull cord is drawn to synchronically actuate the linking ropes, lifting upwards the pulling lugs and the middle section of the tubular tunnels therewith with both lateral sides of the tubular tunnels tilted downwards into slopes by the two counterweight bars adapted therein to figure an inverted V-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of the blind pieces for special visual effects and artistic variations so as to increase the overall beauty and unique style of the Roma blind thereof.
Description
- The present invention is related to a pull cord structure of Roman blinds, including an upper beam of a Roman blind that is equipped with a pull cord fixing seat mounted at both lateral sides therein respectively for locating a first pull cord and a second pull cord thereby and a transparent blind body attached at the underside thereof wherein a plurality of blind pieces, each having a tubular tunnel disposed at the bottom edge for the location of two counterweight bars therein, are equidistantly sewed to the front side of the transparent blind body, and at the rear middle section of the tubular tunnel of each blind piece is disposed a pulling lug for a linking rope branched from the second pull cord to be securely attached thereto; whereby, in addition to the first pull cord applied to fold or unfold the Roman blind thereby, the second pull cord is drawn to synchronically raise upwards the linking ropes with the pulling lugs, lifting the middle section of the tubular tunnels therewith with both lateral sides thereof tilted downwards into slopes by the two counterweight bars adapted therein to figure an inverted V-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of the blind pieces for special visual effects and artistic variations so as to increase the overall beauty and unique style of the Roma blinds thereof.
- Please refer to FIGS. 1 to 2 inclusive. A conventional pull cord structure of Roman blinds includes a Roman blind 10 made up of an upper beam 11, and a transparent
blind body 12 fixedly attached at the underside of the upper beam 11 thereof wherein anelongated tunnel 121 is sewed at the bottom edge of the transparentblind body 12 for retaining acounterweight member 13 therein, and a plurality ofblind pieces 14 of an identical width and proper length are equidistantly attached to the front side of the transparentblind body 12 from top to bottom thereon. At the seaming joint of eachblind piece 14 and the transparentblind body 12 is symmetrically provided with a pair ofretaining lugs 15 each having aring 151 attached thereto for apull cord 16 led through the inner side of the upper beam 11 to be extended sequentially downwards there-through till fixed to thebottommost ring 151 thereof. In operation, thepull cord 16 is drawn to lift upwards thebottommost ring 151 till abutted against the neighboringring 151 disposed at the immediate retaininglug 15 above, sequentially folding up the transparentblind body 12 and theblind pieces 14 therewith to suspend downwards in multi-layers as shown inFIG. 2 . - There are some drawbacks to such conventional pull cord structure of Roman blinds. Most of all, when the transparent
blind body 12 of the Roman blind 10 is folded upwards by thepull cord 16, theblind pieces 14 are simply collected upwards therewith to suspend downwards in multi-layers without any variations, which is rather dull in terms of decoration and visual effects thereof - It is, therefore, the primary purpose of the present invention to provide a pull cord structure of Roman blinds, including an upper beam of a Roman blind that is equipped with a pull cord fixing seat mounted at both lateral sides therein respectively for locating a first pull cord and a second pull cord thereby and a transparent blind body attached at the underside thereof wherein a plurality of blind pieces, each having a tubular tunnel disposed at the bottom edge for retaining two counterweight bars therein, are equidistantly sewed to the front side of the transparent blind body from top to bottom; whereby, in addition to the first pull cord applied to fold or fold the Roman blind thereby, the second pull cord is drawn to synchronically raise upwards linking ropes branched there-from and attached to pulling lugs sewed at the middle section of the tubular tunnels thereof to figure an inverted V-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of the blind pieces for special visual effects and artistic variations of the Roma blind thereof.
- It is, therefore, the second purpose of the present invention to provide a pull cord structure of Roman blinds wherein the linking ropes and the second pull cord thereof are securely fixed via sewing, integral weaving, or thermal-welding operation thereof, facilitating an easier and versatile assembly thereof.

FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a second pull cord of the present invention drawn downwards in operation. - Please refer to FIGS. 3 to 5 inclusive. The present invention is related to a pull cord structure of Roman blinds, including an
upper beam 21 of a Roman blind 20 having a pullcord fixing seat 211 mounted at each lateral side therein for afirst pull cord 22 and asecond pull cord 23 to be led there-through respectively for location thereby. A transparentblind body 24 having an elongated tunnel 241 sewed at the bottom edge thereon is fixedly attached at the underside of theupper beam 21 thereof with a counterweight member 242 retained at the elongated tunnel 241 therein, and a plurality ofblind pieces 25 each of an identical width and proper length are equidistantly sewed to the front side of the transparentblind body 23 from top to bottom thereof. Eachblind piece 25 has atubular tunnel 251 disposed at the bottom edge thereon for the location of twocounterweight bars 252 therein, and apulling lug 253 fixed at the rear middle section of thetubular tunnel 251 thereof. Atmutual seaming joints 243 of theblind pieces 25 and the transparentblind body 24 are disposedsymmetrical retaining lugs 26 withhoops 261 attached thereto for thefirst pull cord 22 to be sequentially led through thehoops 261 from top to bottom till fixed to the bottommost ones thereof. Thus, thefirst pull cord 22 is drawn to lift upwards thebottommost hoops 261 thereof and sequentially actuate theother hoops 261 to raise upwards till abutted against the neighboringhoops 261 disposed at theimmediate seaming joint 243 thereof, folding up the transparentblind body 24 and theblind pieces 25 therewith to suspend downwards in multi-layers. In addition, athrough hole 244 is preset at the middle section of theseaming joints 243 thereof respectively for thesecond pull cord 23 to pass there-through from the front side of the transparentblind body 24 till fixed to thepulling lug 253 of the bottommostblind piece 25 thereof, and a plurality of linkingropes 27 each of a proper length are equidistantly branched from thesecond pull cord 23 at preset positions as shown inFIG. 4 . The linkingropes 27 are securely attached to thesecond pull cord 23 by way of sewing, integral weaving, or thermal-welding operation thereof, and each linkingrope 27 is correspondingly matched to oneblind piece 25 and precisely fixed to thepulling lug 253 disposed at the bottom edge thereof. When thesecond pull cord 23 is drawn downwards as shown inFIG. 5 , the linkingropes 27 are synchronically actuated to lift upwards thepulling lugs 253 and the middle section of thetubular tunnels 251 therewith With the middle section raised upwards by the linkingrope 27 thereof, thetubular tunnel 251 of eachblind piece 25 is tilted downwards into slopes at both lateral sides thereof by the twocounterweight bars 252 adapted therein, figuring an inverted V-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of theblind piece 25 thereby. Thus, the transparentblind body 24 is partially revealed through the up-raisedblind pieces 25 thereof for light to come indoors there-through, achieving special visual effects as well as artistic variations thereof to increase the overall beauty and unique style of the Roma blind 20 thereof
Claims (2)
1. A pull cord structure of Roman blinds, including an upper beam of a Roman blind that is equipped with a pull cord fixing seat mounted at both lateral sides therein respectively for locating a first pull cord and a second pull cord thereby wherein a transparent blind body having an elongated tunnel sewed at the bottom edge for a counterweight member to be retained therein is fixedly attached at the underside of the upper beam thereof, and a plurality of blind pieces, each of an identical width and proper length and having a tubular tunnel disposed at the bottom edge thereon for the location of two counterweight bars therein, are equidistantly attached to the front side of the transparent blind body from top to bottom thereof; at mutual seaming joints of the blind pieces and the transparent blind body thereof are respectively provided with symmetrical retaining lugs with hoops attached thereto for the first pull cord to be sequentially led through the hoops from top to bottom till fixed to the bottommost ones thereof; thus, the first pull cord is drawn to lift upwards the bottommost hoops thereof and sequentially actuate the other hoops to raise upwards till abutted against the neighboring hoops disposed at the immediate seaming joint thereof, folding up the transparent blind body and the blind pieces therewith to suspend downwards in multi-layers; the present invention also being characterized by that,
a pulling lug being fixed at the rear middle section of the tubular tunnel of each blind piece, and a through hole being disposed at the middle section of each seaming joint thereof for the second pull cord to pass there-through from the front side of the transparent blind body till fixed to the pulling lug of the bottommost blind piece thereof; a plurality of linking ropes, each of a proper length and equidistantly branched from the second pull cord at preset positions, are correspondingly matched to the blind pieces and precisely fixed to the pulling lugs disposed at the bottom edge thereof; in operation thereof, the second pull cord is drawn downwards to synchronically actuate the linkage ropes, lifting upwards the pulling lugs and the middle section of the tubular tunnels therewith with both lateral sides of the tubular tunnels tilted downwards into slopes by the two counterweight bars adapted therein to figure an inverted V-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of the blind pieces thereby; thus, the transparent blind body is partially revealed through the up-raised blind pieces thereof for light to come indoors there-through, achieving special visual effects as well as artistic variations thereof of the Roma blind thereof.
2. The pull cord structure of Roman blinds as claimed in claim 1 wherein the linking ropes and the second pull cord are securely fixed via sewing, integral weaving, or thermal-welding operation thereof
