- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional plastic cover comprises a main body mounted on the mouth of a container, an anti-theft ring mounted on an end of the main body and having an inner wall provided with a plurality of planar catch plates rested on the catch edge of the container, a plurality of discontinuously arranged cutting seams formed between the main body and the anti-theft ring, and a plurality of connecting bridges connected between the cutting seams.
- However, each of the catch plates has a greater thickness to provide an efficient structural strength, so as to prevent the catch plate from detaching the catch edge of the container, thereby increasing costs of fabrication.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein each of the catch plates of the anti-theft ring is provided with a bent portion which distributes the transverse compressing force applied on the catch plate when the catch plate is compressed by the transverse force, so as to enhance the transverse structural strength of each of the catch plates, so that each of the catch plates can withstand a larger transverse stress and cannot be bent easily.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the two wings of each of the catch plates are inclined toward different directions so as to enhance the longitudinal structural strength of each of the catch plates, so that each of the catch plates can withstand a larger longitudinal stress.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the bent portion enhances the structural strength of each of the catch plates, so that each of the catch plates can be made with a smaller thickness, thereby decreasing costs of fabrication.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the connecting studs are mounted on the inner wall of the main body and the anti-theft ring, so that the continuously arranged cutting seam is directly formed between the main body and the anti-theft ring after the main body is integrally formed with the anti-theft ring, thereby simplifying the procedure of fabrication.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the anti-theft ring is provided with a plurality of flexible connecting ribs for connecting the catch plates so as to enhance the structural strength of the anti-theft ring.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the flexible connecting ribs are deformed when the catch plates are compressed by the transverse force so as to absorb the compressing force applied on the catch plates.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a plastic cover, wherein the two wings of each of the catch plates are rested on the catch edge the container along two different inclined angles, so that each of the catch plates of the anti-theft ring is combined with the catch edge the container rigidly and closely, thereby enhancing the combination strength of the anti-theft ring with the container.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a plastic cover, comprising:
-
- a main body; and
- an anti-theft ring mounted on an end of the main body and having an inner wall provided with a plurality of catch plates each having a mediate section formed with a bent portion.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
