Abstract

The present invention relates to a controlling apparatus of an automatic umbrella, which mainly includes a controlling slice being pivoted within a button by a pin and is possibly swung in an inclined or a horizontal position. It controls the umbrella to be opened or closed during pressing the button first or second time and it has a simple and utilized assembly.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • A conventional automatic opening and closing umbrella is provided with a controlling apparatus in a handle to engage with a bullet body connecting with a rope for positioning the umbrella. During first press on a button of the handle, the umbrella can be opened for use and by second press, the umbrella is to be closed. There are several different kinds of the controlling apparatus in prior art and they are obviously complex. [0001]
  • Accordingly, the primary object of the invention is to provide a controlling apparatus of an automatic umbrella, which is simple and is easy to be assembled in the handle of the umbrella for controlling opening or closing conveniently. Now the features and advantages of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.[0002]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view showing a controlling apparatus of an automatic umbrella according to the present invention. [0003]
  • FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional plan view showing the assembly of FIG. 1 according to the present invention. [0004]
  • FIG. 3 is a plan view showing the opening state of FIG. 2 according to the present invention. [0005]
  • FIG. 4 is a plan view showing the opening state of FIG. 3 according to the present invention.[0006]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please firstly refer to FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention includes a handle ([0007] 1), which is provided with a button (2) having a circular projection (21) extending outside from a hole (11). A connecting body (3) has a U-shaped slice (31) and connects with an inner tube (43) of a shaft (4), all of which are received in the handle (1). The frame and the spring of the umbrella are similar to a prior one and will not detailedly described here and after.
  • The characteristic of the present invention is that the button ([0008] 2) is pivoted with a controlling slice (23) by a pin (22), while a small spring (24) is provided on the controlling slice (23). As the umbrella is closed and pressed for use, the controlling slice (23) will be forced and inclined downward by a middle tube (42). At the same time, the bullet body (5) is fixed by the inner tube (43). Please refer to FIG. 2-A, the shaft (4) is multangular and has an arched surface at an opposite position relating to the button (2). An outer tube (41) has the arched surface (411) being provided with a positioning gap (412) for engaging with a tongue slice (311) of the U-shaped slice (31).
  • As shown in FIG. 3, during first press on the button ([0009] 2), the U-shaped slice (31) is moved inward and the outer tube (41) is then released to open the umbrella. At this moment, the controlling slice (23) will be recovered in horizontal state by the small spring (24). During second press on the button (2), the controlling slice (23) can push the bullet body (5) inward against an elastic force of an elastic slice (52) beside the bullet body (5), which is then moved upward by a rope (51) for closing the umbrella, as in FIG. 4.
  • Accordingly, the assembly of the present invention obviously obtains utility and improvement, which uses a novel and simple controlling slice to controlling the opening and closing of the umbrella very easily. It should be allowed for patent and is applied. [0010]
