Description
- The Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) is an original and unique creation designed to enhance the magical moment of the visit from the “Tooth Fairy”. It is true that other inventions had attempted to address this issue but Tooth Treasures solves problems with prior art (U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,091,481 Redman, 5,575,028 Brau, D313,141 Witter, D254,891 Mills) because it is specially designed to securely hold such lost baby tooth by enclosing such tooth in a pocket with a velcro seal. An enclosed drawstring pouch is included that may be removed to permanently hold such baby teeth as decided by parent Tooth Treasures further solves problems with prior art (U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,522,507 Cruz, 5,501,602 Anderson) by ensuring the size of such Tooth Character is large enough not to get lost in the bedding of said small child. Tooth Treasures further solves problems with prior art (U.S. Pat. No. 5,015,209 Ortiz) by designing said Tooth character so that it is appropriate for use by both boys or girls. Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) provides a small child and their parent with a soft devise to securely hold a lost baby tooth while awaiting the magic of the “Tooth Fairy”.
- Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) is designed to enhance the special memories of lost baby teeth and the magic of the “Tooth Fairy”. Tooth Treasures was specifically designed to securely (Velcro closure on Pocket) hold a lost baby tooth while awaiting the “Tooth Fairy” and further more securely holding any “Treasures” the “Tooth Fairy” leaves in place of the Tooth. There is a small drawstring pouch that comes with the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) that may be removed for permanent storage of all the child's baby teeth through the years. Furthermore it is claimed that Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) helps eliminate the headache many parents and “Tooth Fairies” have experienced looking for a lost baby tooth placed simply beneath the pillow and worse yet the next morning when the child awakes excited by the magic unable to find the “Treasures” left by the “Tooth Fairy”. Tooth Treasures securely holds such treasures and is large enough not to get lost amongst the covers of a restless child anticipating the magic of the “Tooth Fairy”. Tooth Treasures is specifically designed for all children. With minor changes in detail depicting a boy child or girl.
- I claim that Tooth Treasures tooth character with hidden pocket securely closed with velcro specifically designed to hold a baby tooth or “treasure” from the “Tooth Fairy” is unique to my invention.
- I claim that the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) is designed to enhance the special moment of a lost baby tooth by giving means to carry on the “Fantasy of the Tooth Fairy”. The child places the tooth into the hidden pocket before he/she goes to bed and the parent/“Tooth Fairy” exchanges the tooth for treasures (usually coins but may be a tooth brush in the case of a bad tooth). When the child awakes in the morning the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) is easily found (Because of size) and the child's anticipation is awarded by the treasures left behind.
- I claim that the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) is designed appropriately for both boys and girls with cosmetic color changes in the ribbon and embroidery.
- FIG. 1 Is a front view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when sewn as a Tooth Character. The shaded area represents the hidden enclosure (pocket). Facial Design, fabric, and sewing notions (piping, lace, ribbon, embroidery, etc.) may vary.
- FIG. 2 Is a front view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when sewn as a Tooth Character with the crown portion/face flipped up to expose the velcro closures and expose the hidden pocket. The shaded area represents said pocket.
- FIG. 3. Is a side view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when sewn as a Tooth Character. The shaded area represents the hidden enclosure (pocket).
- FIG. 4. Is a back view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when sewn as a Tooth Character.
- FIG. 5. Is a front view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when the Tooth Character is sewn to a pillow. The shaded area represents the hidden enclosure.
- FIG. 6. Is a back view of the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) when the Tooth Character is sewn to a pillow.
- FIG. 7. Is a picture of the Drawstring Pouch that comes in the Pocket of Tooth Treasures.
- Tooth Treasures is a soft Tooth Character constructed of soft white fabric. It may be constructed as a Tooth Character stuffed toy/pillow or as a Tooth Character applied to a pillow. Choice of fabric, notions and stuffing may vary. Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) provides a secure pocket to store a child's baby tooth while awaiting the magic of the “Tooth Fairy”. See Drawing #1. The pocket is a hidden enclosure unique to Tooth Treasures. Tooth Treasures is large enough in size not to be easily lost amongst the bedding of a restless child anticipating the magic of the “Tooth Fairy”. A small drawstring pouch (See Drawing #7) is snugly tucked neatly inside said pocket to either place baby tooth/treasures or may be removed by parent to securely hold all of said child's baby teeth to be saved as mementos. Tooth Treasures is a friendly Molar Tooth Design with trim sewn around the entire shape. See Drawing #1. The back is sewn to the top of the Crown Portion (Face) and the lower root (Pocket Enclosure) see Drawing #2. The Tooth Treasures character when not placed on a pillow is stuffed with a soft stuffing. Tooth Treasures provides a means to enhance the childhood fantasy that all too quickly passes us by. Parents have passed the fairy tale of many such characters ( i.e. Santa Clause, Easter Bunny) from generation to generation. Losing a baby tooth is a special time in a young child's/parents life. Tooth Treasures was created to enhance those memories and with care could be passed on from generation to generation! While other prior art may have had similar goals in mind the Tooth Treasures (Baby Tooth Exchange Pillow) securely holds the baby tooth and any such Treasures left by the “Tooth Fairy” even when tossed amongst the bedding of a restless child!
