GUY-WIRE TENSON EQUALIZER.
Application filed. December 10, 1927.
This invention relates to equalizers and more particularly to eqnalizers to be einployed with guy-Wires.
An object of this invention is to provide an equalizer that shall be simple in structure, inexpensive to manufacture and more readily installed than devices heretofore emiloyed for this work.
Another object of this invention is to pro vide an equalizer that shall over-come the difficulty 'usually encountered when it is desired to pull tivo or more guys to the same tension, which are attached to the same anchor rod.
These and other objects are attained by means of the device hereinafter described and illustrated in the accompanying` drawings, wherein,

This invention comprises va clevis 11 of suhstantially V shape adapted to engage an c ve of an anchor rod 1?) and an eqlilalizer plate 1144 provided with a plurality of spaced ojienine's 15 for receiving' the free ends of the clevis 11 and guy-bolts 16.

Figure 1 illustrates an installation, einploying tivo of the present equalizers, one of which is being' used With two guys, as shown at 21, and the other with three guys, as shown at 22.
Une :iinportant advantage of the present equalizer is the time saved in performing numerous complicated guying jobs and in obtaining the proper tension in each guystrand.
@ther important advantages of the present equaliz are; its simple structure, inexpen siveness to manufacture and the expedient manner in which adjustment may be made in case the anchors have crept after completion of a ob. It can be seen from the above, that Serial No. 239,237.
a line patrolman equipped with a Wrench, can quickly adjust or take up the tension in each guy-strand in a very short time as compared to the time requiredto :nljust such devices as have been heretofore employed for the purpose.
The guying of the structures in building;` Wood pole lines amount to a considerable portion of the construction expense, especiaL ly on long span work, and the present equalizer, Which is a simple inexpensive device1 that has been found by experience to save. both time and n'ioney, is considered to be a very advanced step :in this particular art.
lVhile l have illustrated and described this invention in connection with a two and three Wire consti'uction, it Will be obvious to those skilled in the art, that other changes, modifications, substitutions, additions and omissions may be made in the equalizer without departing from the spirit and scope ot the appended claims.

1. An equalizer comprisinpr a clevis adapted to engage` an anchor rod, a plate having' spaced openings therein for receiving; the free ends of the clevis and ojienings adjacent to the first said openings, ttor receiving guybolts and means for adjusting the said bolts.

An equalizer comprising a V shaped clevis adapted to engage an anchor rod. i plate having; spaced openings therein for receiving the free ends of the clevis and Opi-inings adjacent to the first said openings for receiving' the free ends, of guy bolts counectcd to wires and means fo.' adjusting the tension of the Wires with respect to the said plate.
3. ln a guy Wire equalizer for anchoring a plurality of guy wires to a single anchor, means associated with said equalizer for independently adjusting the tension of each guy wire.
