Applicationled July 14, 1926, Serial No. 122,441. Renewed January 22, '1929.
This invention relates to improvements in covers for hot. water bottles embodying a pocket yprovided vwith aflapv to completely enclose the bottle whereby the usual necessity of wrapping a towel aroundV the bottle is obviated.
Another object of the invention contemplates an additional pocket adapted to wholly receive the irst mentioned pocket to prevent displacement of the bottle and to prevent the same from touching the body of the user.
vWith the above and other objects in view, the invention further includes the following novel features and details of construction, to be hereinafter more 'fully described, il-
lustrated inthe accompanying drawings and pointed out in the appended claim.
In the drawings l y Figure 1 is an elevation of my invention illustrating the manner in which a hot water bottle may be placed therein.
Figure 2 is a transverse section taken on line 2-2 of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a diametrlc plan view of myy invention when' open. Y
Figure is a vertically sectional view taken on line i- 4 ofFigure 3.
Figure 5 is a horizontal section taken on line w ofv Figure 3.
Referring to the drawing in detail, Wherein like characters of reference `denote cor-V responding parts, the reference character 10 indicates a length of material preferably formed of shaker or outing flannel having`A When desirous of placing or using a hot water bottle, such as indicated at 17 and ,wherein itis intended to be brought againstthe rbody. of a person the hot water bottle is i placed within the pocket 16 and the pocket f in and of itself is folded upon the longitudinal row of stitching 15 and positioned with in the poelret13. Ihe hot Water bag 17 is completely inclosed upon all sides and compactly arranged as clearly illustrated in Figa bare hot water bottle against the body of a person is eliminated and overcoming the difiiculty of wrapping a hot water bottle in a towel and using safety pins `for securing the latter thereto.
The invention is susceptible ofk various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction, and the right is herein reserved to make lsuch changes as properly fall Within the scope of the appended claim.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed is i Y A hot water bag cover comprising a length of material having one end folded upon itself and closed upon three sides to provide an elongated pocket, said pocket having one end open to receive the bag, and the remain`- ing length of the material folded and stitched upon the ends and outer side and' having its inner side open to provide a pocket adapted to wholly receive the first mentioned pocket and bag when the 'material is folded between the pockets.
In testimony whereof I alix my signature.
