'not be discolored by rustl from the parts of the supporting means.
vThis invention also consists in certain other lfeatures of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out inthe appendedl claims. K. M w/ In describing the inventionin detail, reference will be had to the vaccompanying. drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which :f
Figure 1 is an elevation of the invention.
Figure 2 is a section .on line 2--2 of Figure 1. Figure 3 is an end view of'Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a view of the inner edge of one of the side pieces of the frame.
Figure 5 is a section on line 5-5 of Figure 4c. Y
In these views, A yindicates the supporting post for the. device and B indicates the frame supported by the post and yholding the sign carrying members. This frame is composed of the upper and lower horizontal bars 1, each of which is formed with a centrally arranged ylongitudinally extending groove 2in its outer edge and a centrally arrangedtransverse holeB for receiving a part of the post, and the end bars 4 which contact the ends of the bars 1. Rods 5 passV through the grooves 2 and through holesin the end bars 4cv and have their ends threaded to receive the nuts 6. These rods also pass through holes formed inthe post A. Thus these rods andthe nutsr on their threaded ends `hold the parts of the frame together and also hold the frame on the post. The inner edges or facesfof the bars 1 are formed with the grooves 7 which form ,1929. seria; No'."4oo','e23.

The -post A` is composed of the two sec- V tions 9 and 10, the lower section 10 being of greater diameter than the upper section r9, andthe two sections are connected together by the coupling 11. The lower end of the section 10 is adapted to be placed in a hole `1n' the ground and anchor plates 12, ar-
ranged as shown' in Figures 1 and 5, are bolted to the section which is adapted to-be placed in the groundv and thus prevent movement of the post. By making the metal parts of non-rusting material, there is no danger of the signbeing discolored by rustv streaks.
It is, thought from the foregoing'descripp tion that the advantages and novel features of the invention will be readily apparent.
It is to be understood that changes may be made in the construction and in the com- Y bination` and Varrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.v
What I claimy is c y 1. Sign supportingv means comprising a post, aframe consisting of a. pair of side bars and a pair of end bars, said side bars having openings therein through which the postA passes,`r'ods connecting the end pieces with I the side pieces, said side pieces having grooves in their lnner facesfor receiving a sign carrying member.
