The'location ofthe oil pipe within the casing beneath the dome lprotects `the oil pipe yfrom dir-ect contact with the flame of the burner andthe oil pipe whilel being heateddoes not come in contact with the said flame thereby eliminating baking and coking of the oil inside the pipe.l The loil as it fiows upwardly in the vaporizing and generating device comes in' contact with thefdistributor. cap which, afterthe burner 48 Y extending j lhas been started, becomes highly" heated due lboth to the conduction of heat by the metal of the distributor cap and also by the heat conducted by the baiies or flanges depending from the lower'convex face of the said cap. The oil within the vaporizing. and distributing device spreads out into a circular vflow Y escape and mix with the fuel vapors and the said air entering thecasingis caused to take a curved passage around the same and there are no cross currents of air that can possibly interfere with the passage of the air varound thev casing' and the heating 'of the air before it leaves they air-chamber. l The central opening through which the oil disv tributing and vaporizing device projectsis unobstructed by projections and a uniform draft. of air is permitted to pass through the spacebetween the distributor cap and the dome.v` By the arrangement of air ports between the inner and outer edges of the top ofthe dome, no vapor or partially con-v sumed oil is permitted to escape'from the burner without being broughtv into contactl with a sufficient supply of oxygen "to produce complete'combustion.
