This invention relates to devices for holding and protecting liquid containers, more particularly nursing bottles, and has for one of its objects to simplify and improve the construction and increase the efiiciency and utility of devices of this character.

' The improved device comprises an envelop or casing of rubber, rubber cloth, or the like and open atone end and including the body or sides 10 and bottom 11.
Surrounding the rim or 0 en end of the envelop is an enlarged ban 12 which not only reinforces and strengthens the envelop, but also causes the envelop to hug or enga e the container more closely. The improved device may be adapted without material structural change to containers of various forms, for instance to a bottle having a reduced neck, as shown in Fig. 4, and constructed without the depending flange 13, as. shown in the same figure.
The preferred embodiment of the invention is disclosed in the drawings and set forth in the specification, but it will be understood that any modifications within the scope of the claims may be made in the construction without departing from the principle of the invention or sacrificing any of its advantages.
