To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, Anrnnn VAN RAALTE, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Gloves, of which the following is a specification.

Thi invention relates to an improvement in gloves and has for its object to provide a glove provided with a means for permitting the use of a wrist-watch underneath it and also provided with an opening whereby the face of the wrist-watch may be readily seen without the necessity for removing the glove.

With this object and other objects which may hereinafter appear, in view, I have devised the particular arrangement of parts hereinafter set forth, and more particularly pointed out in the claims appended hereto.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a view showing a glove constructed in accordance with my invention, in use;

Fig. 2 is a view of the rear face of the wrist portion of the glove with the flaps in open position;

Fig. 3 is a view of the rear face of the glove at the wrist portion, showing the flap in closed position, and

Fig. 4c is a sectional view on the line 4-4 of Fig. 3, looking in the direction of the arrows.

Throughout the various views of the drawings similar reference characters designate similar parts.

In the preferred embodiment of my invention, as disclosed in the accompanying drawing, 1 indicates a glove which may be of any desired form or length and which is provided at the wrist portion 2 with an open,- ing 3.

This opening 3 may be of any suitable shape or size to permit the dial of a wrist watch 4, worn underneath it, to be seen.

The opening 3 is kept closed by means of a closure flap 5 provided with a snap-fastoner member 6 adapted to engage with a complementary snap-fastener member 7 on the glove.

The flap 5 lies substantially flush with the surface of the glove and when it is desired to see the wrist watch, the flap is simply unfastened and the wrist-watch will be uncovered as disclosed in Fig. 2.

From the foregoing it is obvious that my invention is not to be restricted to the exact embodiment shown, but is broad enough to cover all structures coming within the scope of the annexed claims.

WV hat I claim is:

1. A glove having an opening over the position in which a wrist watch is worn, and a flap on said glove detachably secured over said opening.

2. A glove having an opening in the wrist portion, said opening being adapted to disclose the dial of a wrist watch and a flap having fastening means to'permit it to be detachably fastened over said opening.
