This invention relates to receptacles for toilet articles, and more particularly to a kit for shaving outfits.

Some of the principal objects and advantages to be accomplished by the invention are: to provide a simple, compact and sanitary kit for shaving outfits, particularly designed and especially arranged to provide individual compartments for the accommodation of the various articles constituting the outfit; to provide a kit of the character described, in which provision is made for separating, ventilating and drying the lathering articles forming a part of the outfit; and to provide a kit especially designed for use in connection with shaving outfits including a safety razor and in a portion of which compartments are defined for receiving and separating the razor sections in order to prevent rattling or unnecessary noise by the contact of the parts with one another.

WVith these and other objects in view, which will be more readily apparent as the nature, purpose and use of the invention are better understood from the following description and claims, reference is made to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this application, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation oftheinvention in its assembled form.

' Referring to the drawings by characters of reference which denote like throughout the several views thereof, 10 designates a tubular casing which is here illustrated as round in cross section but which may be of any other desired shape. The casing 10 is closed at one end," open at its opposite end and interiorly threaded at 11,

adjacent said open end for the reception of a threaded boss 12 formed on the bristle carrying base 13, in which the bristles 14 constituting a lather brush are preferably mounted. The casing 10 is provided with an inner tubular shell 15-concentrically arranged therein, which is here illustrated as round in cross section, but which may also be of any desired configuration best suited for the purpose. The inner shell 15 and the casing 10 are connected by oppositely disposed longitudinally arrangd walls 16, the inner shell and said walls terminating, substantially in the same line as the internal threads 11. By this arrangement it will be seen that the interior of the casing is divided into a number of compartments, the inner shell 15 defining a compartment 17 .for the reception of a safety razor handle 18-, while the space defined by the walls 16, the inner shell 15 and the casing 10 provide compartments 19 and 20 adapted to respectively receive the razor blades 21 and the blade receiving member 22. The threaded boss 12 when applied to the casing 10, serves as a closure for all of the compartments heretofore described, and the base 13 and casing 10 constitutea handle for the lather brush. As the length of the handle 18 usually exceeds the greater width of the blades and blade'receiving members, a false bottom 23 is transversely arranged and secured within the casing 10 in spaced relation with respect to its closed end, said false bottom being centrally apertured for the reception of the shell 15 which is extended therethrough. A cap 25 which is adapted to telescope the casing 10, is of tubular formation open at both ends and preferably provided with a medial foraminated portion 26. The upper end of the cap is interiorly threaded as at 27 and a removable head 28 having a threaded boss 29 adapted to engage the threads 27 is provided. The head 28 is parts for the reception of a standard form of shaving soap stick 31, and a concentrically arranged threaded bore 32 is also provided in the. boss 29 for the reception of the threaded neck 33 of a tube 34'when the and provided at their opposite free ends with coacting portions forming a catch 22. The section 22 is provided with the usual guard fingers 22 depending therefrom. The blades are preferably formed of steel-curved as illustrated and tempered in their curved form. The handle 18 is reduced and threaded to engage the central threaded boss 22 formed in the section 22* in order to provide means for removably associating the handle therewith.

While there has been illustrated and described a preferred form of carrying the invention into practice, it is understood that the same is merely illustrative and that variations and changes which fall within the scope of the claims may be resorted to when found expedient.

Having thus described my invention,

- what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent; is

1. In a device of the class described, the combination with a lather brush including a base and bristles carried thereby, of a 1101 low handle removably associated therewith and comprising atubular casing, walls defining razor section receiving compartments, a tubular cap having a medial foraminated portion adapted to telescopically receive said handle to dispose the foraminated. portion adjacent said bristles, and a removable head for said cap adapted to support a stick of shaving soap with the active end of said stick adjacent said foramina tions. s

4. A shaving kit comprising in combination with a lather brush including a base and bristles carried thereby, a tubular handle removably connected therewith, said handle having a closed end, a longitudinally arranged centrally disposed shell defining a,

compartment for the reception of a safety razor handle, and radially disposed Walls connecting the shell to the handle, said walls together with the handle and shell defining compartments for the reception of the razor blades and blade receiving guard members respectively, the said base serving to close all of the compartments, and a tubular cap adapted to mate with the handle portion of the brush for housing the same.
