PAPER-DOLLS DRESS-FASTENER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented llFeb... 5, 19nd.
Application filed May 4, 1917'. Serial No. 166,289.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALICE Gr. WILT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and Improved Paper-Dolls Dress-Fastener, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
My invention has for its object to provide an improved fastener for paper dolls dresses having horizontal tabs extending from the sides of the dress, and which are secured together to form a loop in the rear of the dress through which the body of the paper doll may be disposed, the dress being also provided with tabs extending from the dress at the shoulders and which are bent downwardly over the shoulders of the paper doll and are disposed in openings in the horizontal tabs.
Additional objects of the invention will appear in the following specification, in which the preferred form of the invention is disclosed.
In the drawings similar reference characters denote similar parts in all the views, in which-- 7 Figure 1 is a view showing a paper dolls dress provided with my fastener;
Fig. 2 is a view showing a paper doll with the dolls dress indicated in dotted lines; and
Fig. 3 is a rear view of the paper doll showing how the dress is secured thereto.
By referring to the drawings, it will be seen that a dolls dress 5 is provided having two horizontal tabs 6, one extending from each side of the paper dolls dress 5, each of these tabs 6 having a mark 7 which is cut to form an opening for vertical tabs which will shortly be described. One of the tabs 6 has its end 6 coated with glue so that when the tabs 6 are bent rearwardly at 8, the glue on the tab-end 6 may be moistened, and the other tab-end 6 may be secured thereto, as indicated in Fig. 3 of the drawings. At the shoulders 9 of the dress there are vertical tabs 10 which are bent over the shoulders 11 of the paper doll 12. These tabs 10 extend downwardly and are disposed in the cuts 7 which have been Patent:
1. A dolls dress having a rearwardly disposed looped member with ends secured to the sides of the dress and in which a dolls body may be disposed, there being openings in the looped member, and two tabs secured one to each shoulder of the dress and adapted to be disposed over the shoulders of the doll and be disposed down and into the openings in the looped member.
2. A dolls dress having a rearwardly disposed looped member with ends secured to the sides of the dress and in which a dolls body may be disposed, there being an opening in the looped member, and a tab secured to the upper portion of the dress and adapted to be disposed over a shoulder of the doll and extend downwardly and into the opening in the looped member.
3. A dolls dress having sides and shoulders, two horizontal tabs one extending from each side of the dress, and two additional tabs one extending vertically from each shoulder, there being marks on the first tabs at which cuts may be made to receive the vertical tabs when the horizontal tabs are bent rearwardly and the vertical tabs are bent downwardly.
4. A dolls dress having sides and shoulders, two horizontal tabs one extending from each side of the dress and two additional tabs one extending vertically from each. shoulder, there being marks on the first tabs at which cuts may be made to receive the vertical tabs when the horizontal tabs are bent rearwardly and the vertical tabs are bent downwardly, and an adhesive on one of the first tabs by which the ends of the first tabs may be secured together.
