Be it known that l, MA ER MARGLOUS, a citizen of the United States,'residing in the city of St. Louis and State of Missouri, have invented a certain new and useful Toe- Glove, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to improvements 1n toe-gloves, and has for its object to provide a device adapted to be positioned upon the foot between the toes thereof to prevent sweating between the toes, thus keeping the toes dry and preventing sore toes, irritations, itching, and even blood-poisoning which often develops after scratching until bleeding sets in.

A further object of the invention is to provide novel means for unitin the several parts of invention, and resilient y but firmly holding the device in position on the foot.

A still further object of the invention is to provide elastic means to permit the device to adjust itself to feet of various sizes.

A still further object of my invention is to obviate the necessity of applying powder, salve, and other toe remedies by the application of my toe-glove.

A still further object of the invention is to provide an article which may be easily applied to the foot between the toes, and due to the fiexibleness of the toe-pads employed, readily adjust themselves between the toes without interfering with the movements of the toes, such as bandages would do if employed.

With the above and other objects in view, the invention consists of the novel features of construction, arrangement and combination of parts, as more fully hereinafter described, and finally pointed out in the claims hereto appended.

Referring to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification wherein like characters of referencedenote similar; parts throughout the several views:

In carrying out the aim of my present invention, I employ a plurality of toe-pads,

preferably four in number, and each one These toe-pads l, 2, 3 and 4, are each spaced at suitable distance apart, and are each united, as at 5, 6, 7 and 8, at their lower edges to a non-elastic tape 9. This tape 9 is preferably positioned centrally between the ends of the pads 1, 2, 3 and 1.

The pads 1, 2, 3 and 4 are each suitably united at their upper edges to a pair of elastic bands 10 and 11, as at 12, 13, M and 15. These bands 10 and 11 are suitably secured to the pads 1, 2, 3 and 4, near their forward and rearward ends, respectively.

The rear end of each pad has its lower corner curved, as at 16, while the forward end of each pad is curved, as at 17 thus making the top end of each ad longer than the lower edges, 'as clearly siown in Fig. 2.

It will be observed, that the elastic bands 10 and 11, permit the pads to be adjusted to properly fit and adjust themselves between the toes of various sizes of feet, as is manifest. Further, it will be observed, that owing to the non-elastic tape secured to the bottom edge of each pad intermediate the ends thereof, and the elastic-bands secured to the upper edge of each pad near each end thereof, that slipping and misplacement' of the toe-glove, after once positioned upon the foot, is made impossible.

From Fig. 5 of the drawings it will be observed that each toe-pad is preferably made from a single piece of flexible fabric, preferably very pliable canvas material that is rather soft, and not rough, so as not to scratch the tender flesh between the toes.

These pads are each folded at their top edge and suitably stitched, as at 18, along each end and at the bottom.

It will be readily understood that as the pads are each positioned between two toes, any moisture, that may develop between the toes from anycause, will be readily absorbed by the pads thus having the tendency of keeping the toes dry and preventing the various toe and foot ailments due to sweatifng feet, especially between the toes of the cot.

It will be readily seen from the drawings and the foregoing description, that my toeglove is not bunglesome when properly positioned between the toes, that it in no way interferes with the putting on of hose and does not take up any particular space so as, to make the shoe uncomfortable upon the foot.

From the foregoing description it will be readily seen that I have made a toe-glove for the foot that is very simple in manufacture, composed of very few parts, easily applied or removed to or from the foot, and an article which is highly eflicient for the purpose intended.

The many advantages of the herein described toe-glove will readily suggest themselves to those skilled in the art to which it appertains.

I am aware that various minor changes may be made in the particular formation and assembly of the several parts, in the material used and in the size of thearticle; therefore, I do not wish to be limited to the precise construction shown and described, but wish it to be clearly understood that I reserve the right to make any such changes or modifications as may fairly fall within the scope of the appended claims without in any way departing from the spirit of my invention.

What I claim is:

1-. A toe glove comprising a plurality of a fabric toe spacing pads adapted to be posi tioned upon the foot between the several toes thereof, a narrow fabric tape for unit- 1 intervals.

A toe glove comprising a plurality of fabric toe spacing pads adapted to be positioned upon the foot between the several toes thereof, a narrow fabric tape for uniting said toe pads at their lower edges, and spaced elastic means for uniting said toe spacing pads at predetermined intervals along their upper edges, said toe spacing pads each having their forward and iearward edges suitably-beveled.

3. A toe glove comprising a plurality of suitably spaced, flexible fabric toe spacing pads, a narrow non-elastic tape for uniting said toe spacing pads at their lower edges intermediate their ends, and a pair of elastic tapes spaced at intervals along the upper edge of the several toe spacing pads for unlting said toe spacing pads and securely holding the toe glove upon the foot.

4. A toe glove comprising a plurality of longitudinally arranged and vertically disposed flexible, absorbent toe spacing pads arranged in suitable spaced relation, a non-- elastic fabric tape fixed to the bottom edge of each toe spacin pad intermediate thelr ends, and a pair of elastic connecting tapes secured to the upper edge of each toe spacing pad at suitably spaced intervals for holding the toe glove in position upon the foot. 1
