EL ACIDO ES ACIDO SULFURICO Y EL AGENTE DE REDUCCION ES PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENOWHERE THE PROCESS CONTINUOUSLY INCLUDES: a) FEEDING AN ACID, A REDUCING AGENT AND AN ALKALINE METAL CHLORATE TO A REACTOR; b) MAKE THE CHLORATE REACT WITH THE ACID AND THE AGENT TO FORM A FLOW OF PRODUCTS CONTAINING CHLORINE DIOXIDE AND ALKALINE METAL SALT OF THE ACID; AND, c) BRING SAID FLOW FROM THE REACTOR TO AN ABSORPTION TOWER, WHERE IT IS CONTACTED WITH A WATER FLOW TO FORM AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING CHLORINE DIOXIDE IN A CONCENTRATION OF 4 TO 12 g / L THAT IS KEPT CONSTANT BY ADJUSTMENT FROM THE WATER FLOW TO THE TOWER, THE GAS NOT ABSORBED BY AN EDUCATOR BEING REMOVED FROM THE TOWER, CREATING A SUB-ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE IN THE REACTOR AND IN THE TOWER. THE REACTOR OPERATES AT A PRESSURE BETWEEN 30 AND 100 KPa. THE pH OF THE AQUEOUS SOLUTION IS 0.1 TO 1. THE ACID IS SULFURIC ACID AND THE REDUCING AGENT IS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
