Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- 투명기판 상에 제2 전극이 전면에 형성되어 있는 상판과, 상기 상판에 대향하며 가장자리에 제1 전극이 형성되어 있는 하판과, 상기 하판 아래에 형성된 반사판과, 상기 상판과 하판 사이에 형성되며 유체에 분산된 다수의 대전된 투과형 색상입자를 포함하고 격벽에 의하여 구분되는 단위쎌을 포함하며,상기 반사판은 착탈 가능한 구조로 이루어지고, 상기 단위쎌은 제1 전극 하부에 상기 제1 전극보다 작은 면적의 대응전극을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 단위쎌은 서로 다른 극성으로 대전된 서로 다른 종류의 투과형 대전입자를 포함하는 1쎌 2컬러형인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 반사판의 재질은 종이 또는 천이나 플라스틱류인 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 소자는 투과형인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 소자.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 대응전극은 상기 제1 전극에 비하여 폭이 10 ㎛ 이상 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 소자는 단위쎌 2개층이 수직으로 적층되는 구조인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 적층 구조는 1쎌 2컬러형 단위쎌 2개가 수직으로 적층된 것을 기본 단위로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 적층 구조는 상, 하층 중 어느 한 층은 1쎌 1컬러형 단위쎌인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 적층 구조는 1쎌 1컬러형 단위쎌 2개가 평행하게 배열되고 그 위에 공통되는 1개의 1쎌 1컬러형 단위쎌이 수직으로 적층된 것을 기본 단위로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 적층 구조는 1쎌 1컬러형 단위쎌 2개가 평행하게 배열 되고 그 위에 각각 1쎌 1컬러형 단위쎌이 수직으로 적층된 것을 기본 단위로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 소자는 1쎌 2컬러형 단위쎌 2개가 평행하게 배열된 것을 기본 단위로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 2개의 단위쎌 중 어느 하나는 1쎌 1컬러형인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 투과형 색상입자의 색상은 시안, 마젠타, 옐로우 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 투과형 색상입자의 색상은 적색, 녹색, 청색을 추가로 포함하는 색상 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 제9항 또는 제13항에 있어서, 상기 2개 단위쎌의 4가지 색상 중 어느 하나는 검정색인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자.
- 투명기판 상에 제2 전극이 전면에 형성되어 있는 상판과, 상기 상판에 대향하며 가장자리에 제1 전극이 형성되어 있는 하판과, 상기 하판 아래에 형성된 반사판과, 상기 상판과 하판 사이에 형성되며 유체에 분산된 다수의 대전된 투과형 색상입자를 포함하고 격벽에 의하여 구분되는 단위쎌을 포함하는 전기영동 표시 소자의 구동 방법에 있어서,상기 방법은 대전된 투과형 대전입자를 유체 내에 고르게 분산시켜 색상을 발현하는 단계; 및대전된 투과형 대전입자를 제1 전극에 집속시켜 색상을 소거하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자의 구동 방법.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 제1 전극 간에 또는 제1 전극과 제2 전극 간에 교류 또는 펄스 신호를 인가함으로써 응집된 투과형 대전입자를 유체 내에 고르게 분포시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기영동 표시 소자의 구동 방법.
