Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （１）０発明の技術分野 本発明は所要のデータをすべて不揮発性メモリに収容す
るよ゛うにしたクレジットカードに関する。
（２）、技術の背景 従来、信販関係において用いられているクレジットカー
ドは各種の形式のものがあるが、それらのクレジットカ
ードはそれら固有の欠点を有し、その使用性乃至利用性
を制限する因子となっておシ、これらの制限因子を除き
つる技術的手段の開発が要望されている。
（３）、従来技術と問題点 従来用いられているクレジットカードとしては、所要の
事項を表わすエンボス及び本人の署名をなしたカードや
、所要のデータを記録し、暗証番号を用いる磁気カード
などがある。これらのカードのうち、前者［６りでは他
人による使用が容易であるという問題がらり、後者にあ
っては、データの読出し／書込みが容易であり、壕だデ
ータがこわれやすい上、そのデータ量に制限がある。
（４）０発明の目的 本発明は上述のような従来のクレジットカードの有する
欠点に鑑みて創案されたもので、その目的はデータを目
視し得ないようにすると共に、データの破壊がなく、し
かもデータ量の増加を達成しつるクレジットカードを提
供することにある。
（５）１発明の構成 そして、この目的はカード基板に不揮発性メモリを塔載
すると共に、カード基板の縁部に複数の接点を設は且つ
これら接点と不揮発性メモリの端子との間に印刷配線を
設けることによって達成される。
（６）０発明の実施例 以下、添付図面を参照して本発明の詳細な説明する。
添付図面は本発明の一実施例を示す。１はクレジットカ
ードで、これはカード基板２に不揮発性メモリ、例えば
不揮発性ランダムアクセスメモリ３を塔載し、そのメモ
リの各端子を印刷配線４を介して基板２の縁部に設けら
れた複数の接点５に接続することＫよって構成される。
そして、そのメモリには必要とする限度のデータをすべ
て記憶しうるものであるＯ この構成のクレジットカードｌはその使用に際して、カ
ード読取り装置のカード挿入口から装置内へ挿入され、
メモリ３内の所要のデータを読取られ、必要に応じて装
置の操作釦を押圧して装置との間で必要な情報交換を行
なうようにして用いられる。
このようなりレジットカードの使用において、データは
不揮発性メモリ３に記憶されておりデータは目視し得な
いというクレジットカードで保有していなければならな
い機能が得られると共に、メモリ３の記憶容量に依存す
るがデータ量を可能な限度で増加させることが出来るし
、そのデータは破壊されることもないという利点が得ら
れる。
（７）０発明の効果 以上層するに、本発明によれば、必要なデータを不揮発
性メモリに記憶する形式のクレジットカードとしたこと
により、データを破壊することなく、そのデータ量の増
加を図ることが出来ると共に、カード自体の小型化、軽
量化も達成し得る外、データを目視し得なくするという
機能も得られる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. カード基板に不揮発性メモリを塔載すると共に、上記カ
    ード基板の縁部に複数の接点を設け、且つこれら接点と
    上記不揮発性メモリの端子との間に印刷配線を設けたこ
    とを特徴とするクレジットカード。
