Abstract

PURPOSE: A paint for protecting metal plates, which protects metal plates from corrosion and scrach and as well improves abrasion resistance, which paint including a solid lubricant.
CONSTITUTION: A paint for protecting metal plates is obtained by mixing a paint prepared by dissolving a paint resin component such as a polyacrylic resin or PVAL in water, varnish or the like, with 5W100pts.wt., pref., 20W60pts.wt., with respect to 100pts.wt. of the paint resin component, of a solid lubricant having a Vickers hardness of below 2 and a particle size of below 40, such as graphite or talc. The protective paint thus obtained is applied to the surface of a metal plate in a film thickness of 3W50μ, pref., 5W15μ, and after cold plastic working, the film is removed by cleaning with a cleaning solution.
