本発明に係る記録再生装置は、視聴者が記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されているビデオ信号を再生して映像を見た後に、この映像を保存するか記録するかを選択する。ビデオ信号を保存する場合は記録媒体の保存領域に記録され、他のビデオ信号が上書き記録されず保存される。
さらに、本発明は、ビデオ信号が連続的に上書記録されていくリングバッファ領域とビデオ信号が保存される保存領域とからなるランダムアクセス可能な記録媒体を介してビデオ信号の記録再生を行うにあたり、受信したビデオ信号を上記記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録し、上記記録媒体に記録されたビデオ信号の保存又は消去の管理を行い、上記記録媒体から再生されたビデオ信号に基づき映像を表示するとともに所定のコメントを表示させ、表示された所定のコメントに基づく操作入力を受け付けるようにした記録再生方法であって、上記記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号に基づき表示した映像が終了した後に、この映像を消去するか或いは保存するかのコメントを表示し、このコメントに基づき視聴者が消去すると操作入力した場合は、この記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号を消去し、また、このコメントに基づき視聴者が保存すると操作入力した場合はこの記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号を上記保存領域に保存することを特徴とする。[0010]

Claims (7)
ビデオ信号を受信する受信手段と、
上記受信手段により受信したビデオ信号を上記記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録する記録手段と、
上記記録媒体に記録されたビデオ信号を再生する再生手段と、
上記再生手段により再生されたビデオ信号に基づき映像を表示する表示手段と、
上記表示手段に所定のコメントを表示させる表示制御手段と、
上記記録媒体に記録されたビデオ信号の保存又は消去の管理を行う制御手段と、
上記表示手段によりコメントされた所定のコメントに基づき視聴者が操作入力する操作入力手段とを備え、
上記表示制御手段が上記記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号に基づき上記表示手段に表示した映像が終了した後に、この映像を消去するか或いは保存するかのコメントを表示し、このコメントに基づき視聴者が消去すると操作入力した場合は、上記制御手段によりこの記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号を消去し、また、このコメントに基づき視聴者が保存すると操作入力した場合はこの記録媒体のリングバッファ領域に記録されたビデオ信号を上記制御手段により上記保存領域に保存することを特徴とする記録再生装置。a randomly accessible recording medium comprising a ring buffer area in which video signals are continuously overwritten and a storage area in which the video signals are stored;
