Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner in which defrosted water can be smoothly discharged to the exterior by preventing a drain hole from being closed due to icing of the water. CONSTITUTION:An oil return tube 10 coupled to a compressor 5 and formed substantially in a U shape is disposed at the periphery of a drain hole 7 provided at a bottom plate 2 slightly separately from a heat exchanger 6. Thus, an outdoor unit for an air conditioner in which defrosted water is prevented from being iced by the heat radiated from the tube 10 to smoothly discharge it from the hole 7 is provided.

を前記水路18で集め前記排水孔17から外部に排出してい
た。しかしながら、暖房運転に復帰した際、室外気温度
が氷点下の場合においては、前記除霜水が徐々に氷結し
前記排水孔17を閉塞して、同排水孔17から同除霜水を排
出できないという問題があった。そのため、前記熱交換
器16の一部(底板12に近い側)に高温の冷媒を循環させ
る対策が考えられるが、この対策によれば、暖房能力が
低下するという問題がある。また、前記底板12上にヒー
タを配設し前記除霜水の氷結を防止する対策が考えられ
るが、この対策によれば、コストアップとなり消費電力
が増加するという問題がある。

やオイル戻し管10等を連結した圧縮機,6は同熱交換器
室に載置された熱交換器である。前記底板2には、前記
熱交換器6から少許離間して排水孔7が設けられ、同熱
交換器6に対応する位置から同排水孔7に向かって勾配
を有する水路8が形成されている。前記オイル戻し管10
は、略U字状に形成され、同形状の開口部に前記水路8
を導入するよう配置して、前記排水孔7の周りに配設さ
れている。11は四方弁,12は膨張弁,13は室内熱交換器
である。以上構成で、図1で示すように、圧縮機5の吐
出側から出た冷媒が、同圧縮機5のオイル(冷凍機油)
の回収用に設けた前記オイルセパレータ9から、一方が
高温高圧のオイルと冷媒が流れる前記オイル戻し管10を
経て、前記圧縮機5の吸込側に流入し、他方が前記四方
弁11に流入し、同四方弁11から前記室内熱交換器13に流
入し、同室内熱交換器13から前記膨張弁12を経て前記室
外熱交換器6に流入し、同室外熱交換器6から前記四方
弁11を経て前記圧縮機5の吸込側に到る冷凍サイクルが
構成されている。
