Abstract
1307888 Radio signalling; angle modulated signal repeaters TELETTRA LABORATORI DI TELEFONIA ELETTRONICA E RADIO SpA 13 May 1970 [23 May 1969] 23097/70 Headings H3A H3R and H4L A phase-locked loop is used as a repeater for an F.M. signal. A received F.M. signal s(t) is mixed with the output signal u 2 (t), derived from the constant power output of oscillator 3, in multiplier 1, to produce an error signal which is fed back to lock the oscillator frequency to that of the received signal. The output signal u 1 (t), which follows the frequency variations of the received signal is taken from power divider 4. The control signal may be applied to the oscillator over control paths 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> having different cut-off frequencies to provide separate control of the mean frequency. Alternatively, Fig. 4 (not shown), a second control for the oscillator may be provided from a power divider (9) in the received signal path. The loop control signal m(t) represents the demodulated signal. For use as a repeater where a different output frequency is required, a frequency changer (5, 6) is included between the mixer 1 and divider 4, Fig. 2 (not shown).
