Abstract

This publication describes a method for determination of a diffusion flow of moisture diffusing from a surface 9 or to a surface 9 of a material. In the method, a diffusion chamber 7 is formed on the surface 9 intended for the measurement, which diffusion chamber at one end has the surface 9 intended to be measured, the partial water vapour pressure is determined in at least a first 5 and a second 6 point in the interior space of the diffusion chamber 7, which points are situated at least at a first and a second distance from the surface being measured, and the diffusion flow is calculated by the determined partial pressures. According to the invention, a moisture evaporating or binding surface 10 is formed in the diffusion chamber 7 for transfer of moisture between the surface 9 being measured and the moisture evaporating or binding surface 10 via the diffusion through the inner space of the diffusion chamber 7. The publication also describes an arrangement for carrying out the method. <IMAGE>
