Abstract

A construction method comprising installation of a prefabricated panelised unit in the formation of a building. The panelised unit includes a waterproof membrane to preclude passage of moisture through the unit. The method comprises attaching an exposed portion of the membrane (30) of a first unit (100) to an exposed face (28) of a second unit (FC) such that it forms a seal across the junction between the first unit and second unit. The method further comprises applying a covering or finish over the exposed portion and the exposed face to which that portion is attached. The invention provides a less time consuming method to construct a sealed waterproof module in a building.
