En este articulo, centrado en las criticas a las Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes celebrad... more En este articulo, centrado en las criticas a las Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes celebradas entre 1881 y 1897, una seleccion de textos de autores como Villamil, Calvo, Gotor y Briz, Ossorio y Bernard o Fernanlope, ponen de manifiesto la actitud conservadora de la prensa catolica en materia artistica. Las censuras al realismo, cuya influencia ha desbordado sus limites tradicionales, la negativa a aceptar innovaciones en las artes plasticas, los ataques al “espiritu moderno” o las invectivas contra los jurados se ponen al servicio de una lucha moralista contra un laicismo creciente que la Iglesia es incapaz de tolerar.

It proposes to extend the SOD-M model driven method with (i) the π-SCM an A-Policy services' composition meta-model for representing non-functional constraints associated to services' based applications; (ii) the π-Pews meta-model providing guidelines for expressing the composition and the policies; and, (iii) model to model and model to text transformation rules for semi-automatizing the implementation of reliable services' compositions.

The Centre is at risk due to the unilateral decision adopted by the Diputacion de Granada (Provincial Government of Granada) of creating a “Granadian Foundation for Contemporary Art" –later passed with the name of FNEO–, with a merely political structure, that tried to deprive the centre's independence. Once eliminated this important forum of artistic discussion and dismissed its director together with all the activities scheduled, if an agreement is not reached soon with the painter's heirs, the centre will be closed on a permanent basis.

Its main aim is to advance the state of the art in the development of reliable and trustworthy systems by combining formal and model-based approaches. The project started on October 1st, 2014 and will last four years. The project consortium is integrated by five research groups based in Madrid (Spain) and it has been funded by the Regional Government of Madrid and the European Social Fund of the European Commission with a total of 635.088,65€.
The alignment of business issues with technological service-oriented solutions has proven to be a... more The alignment of business issues with technological service-oriented solutions has proven to be a crucial aspect of modern business development. In this regard, the provision of methods to solve the gap between business and technology becomes absolutely necessary. This paper presents a proposal to systematize that leap by defining a development method centred on the concept of Architecture. The use of different architectural models at different levels of abstraction (along with the definition of model transformations between them) allows for the establishment of a trace between the business-level elements and software elements that are derived from them. Key benefits of our proposal are, on the one hand, the provision of a method for business-technology alignment and, on the other hand, the definition of a new model to represent the structure of a business. This proposal has been refined and validated using the case of an information system for the management of paediatric percentiles.

Esta tension, que adquiere un especial caracter en un momento en que Espana vive los continuos enfrentamientos entre los sectores moderados y progresistas derivados de la crisis de gobierno tras la muerte de Fernando VII, propiciara paulatinamente, no sin criticas o manifiestos retrocesos, el abandono de la cultura figurativa que habia dominado el siglo XVIII.

In this article we publish a long letter written by Munar to King Charles 4th, petitioning for his freedom. The writer also relates the peculiar circumstances under which he was imprisioned, accused of professional negligence because of defects in the building of the church at O lula del Rio. What the letter really reveals, however, is the dispute about the delimitation of professional competence and scope in the world of architecture in 18th century Spain.

In 2014, Rey Juan Carlos University (from Spain) has implemented the Service Science, Management ... more In 2014, Rey Juan Carlos University (from Spain) has implemented the Service Science, Management and Engineering career. From the study conducted in 2016, the formulated hypothesis that the students' evidenced performance in the different modules of the career (i.e., Fundamentals, Technology, Personal Skills, Services and Companies) is affected by the secondary school modality of provenance. Aimed at monitoring the performance of first-year students of this career, in the present work we propose the use of a Holistic Evaluation Approach for Quality. This approach has a family of integrated evaluation strategies which allows achieving goals for diverse purposes such as to understand, compare, monitor, among others. In a nutshell, a strategy integrates a conceptual base with process and method specifications, which ensures that evaluation projects' results are consistent and comparable over time. Particularly, in this work, we use the monitoring strategy for understanding the performance of students, in the first year of the abovementioned career, from 2014 to 2017 period of time. The yielded outcomes will serve as a basis for the development of a predictive model. This will allow to the University to propose instruments aimed at improving the performance of students regarding the predominant modality of provenance.

Business process modelling is an essential activity for competitive enterprises, as it enables do... more Business process modelling is an essential activity for competitive enterprises, as it enables documenting, analysing, improving and automating their core processes. Several notations have been proposed, including BPMN, service blueprints or Process Chain Networks (PCNs). These are all graphical, intuitive notations, which are useful for discussion and documentation, but tool support and a formal semantics are required for process analysis. However, tool support is lacking and formal semantics is not available for some commonly used notations among business people, like PCNs. To alleviate this situation, we present a modelling tool for PCNs, and a formal semantics based on Generalized Stochastic Petri nets, which permits analysis. We have realized our approach using Modeldriven Engineering, and show its realization within INNoVaServ, a modeling environment for the design of business models and service process operations.

The appearance of service science, management, and engineering (SSME) has led to a significant advance as regards understanding the skills required by a service professional. It is a transdisciplinary field that integrates aspects of business management, along with information and communication technologies and engineering, and social sciences, in addition to providing the foundations for the growth of sustainable business. Agile approaches tend to focus solely on scoping and simplicity rather than on problem solving an... more Agile approaches tend to focus solely on scoping and simplicity rather than on problem solving and discovery. This hampers the development of innovative solutions. Additionally, little has been said about how to capture and represent the real user needs. To fill this gap, some authors argue in favor of the application of "Creative thinking" for requirements elicitation within agile software development. This synergy between creativeness and agility has arisen as a new means of bringing innovation and flexibility to increasingly demanding software. The aim of the present study is therefore to employ a systematic review to investigate the state-of-the-art of those approaches that leverage creativity in requirements elicitation within Agile Software Development, as well as the benefits, limitations and strength of evidence of these approaches. The review was carried out by following the guidelines proposed by Dr. Kitchenham. The search strategy identified 1451 studies, 17 of which were eventually classified as primary studies. The selected studies contained 13 different and unique proposals. These approaches provide evidence that enhanced creativity in requirements elicitation can be successfully implemented in real software projects.
