Can anyone help me with some features for FITS import?

• How do the xrange/yrange inputs work? I've tried it with and without inputs, and there is no difference. I thought it would be like entering slice ranges, but apparently not.
• When displaying an image from FITS file data that has WCS info, the axis follows the WCS info. Is there any way to subsequently "strip out" the WCS info, so it reverts to just pixel image mode?
• I had a previous request to allow WCS mode for 1D data, which would be enormously useful for displaying spectra/multiple spectra without knowing the exact spectral range of each data set and having to create 1D datasets. Is there any progress on this?
• Just a caveat for the unwary; for WCS info to be set correctly, the FITS file MUST use the CDELT1/CDELT2 convention rather than the CD1_1/CD2_2 mode.
